Chappell Roan Looks Unrecognizable in Strawberry Blonde Hair

Yahoo20-05-2025

Chappell Roan has become known for a few things: being a Grammy-winning artist, a music festival legend, and her vibrant red hair.
The 'Pink Pony Club' singer could likely be spotted from afar just from her lengthy auburn curls alone, which is why it was so jarring to see her in any other hairstyle. On Friday, May 16, Roan shared a carousel of photos on Instagram, showing off a new hairdo that's different from her usual long locks. Instead of her thick curly hair cascading down her back, Roan was rocking a straight, strawberry blonde hairstyle.
Obviously, any shade of ginger seems to be her color, but this lighter version is definitely a step away from her darker locks. Roan said on her Instagram Story that she redownloaded the social media app in search of a perfume, and echoed the sentiment under her caption:
'Will the girl who I just met at the perfume store please comment the perfume you recommended. I wrote it down and just deleted it on accident. The world 'girl' was in the brand name & you said it smelled like lipstick. Thank you.'
In the photos, Roan is shown standing in an elevator, holding a coffee cup, and wearing a plaid scarf wrapped around her shoulders, along with sunglasses. Her strawberry blonde hair hangs straight down past her shoulders. In the second photo, Roan shows a closer view of the hair, along with her glasses and dark lip.
It's unclear whether Chappell Roan dyed her hair this color, or if she's simply wearing a wig. The musician isn't one to shy away from wigs or other fun disguises — like when she showed up to Gov Ball last year in full Statue of Liberty drag, complete with a green-colored wig. Time will tell on if the hair is here to stay.

Olympian Gabby Thomas responded to a "gross" spectator who shouted weird comments at her as she prepared for a track meet. Kevin Mazur/MG25 /for The Met Museum/Vogue On Monday, the 3-time Olympic gold medalist took to social media to call out the person who heckled her as she stretched before running in the Women's 100-meter dash at the Grand Slam Track meet at Franklin Field in Philadelphia on Sunday. Roger Wimmer/ISI Photos / Getty Images Gabby has won a total of five Olympic medals: three gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics (200-meter, 4x100-meter relay, 4x400-meter relay), a silver medal from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (4x100-meter relay), and a bronze medal from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (200-meter). Advertisement The 28-year-old ultimately finished in fourth place for the 100-meter and second place in the 200-meter sprint. She took to social media to reflect on the races. "Not the Slam results I hoped for, but when you race as often as I do, you can't win em all," she wrote on X (better known as Twitter), accompanied by photos of her at the race, a picture she took with fans, and a special gift she received from them. Roger Wimmer/ISI Photos / Getty Images "On the bright side, this is the best I have ever ran at this at this point in the season," she continued. "I'm so so grateful to everyone who continues to support me on my journey, win or lose- rain or shine. I love this sport sm and I'll see you guys on the track very soon!!!" In fact, he was there in person, at the track meet, to ensure she knew just how much he didn't want her to win. NurPhoto / NurPhoto via Getty Images "I made Gabby lose by heckling her," the X user tweeted. "And it made my parlay win." The tweet was accompanied by the bets he made against her, and a video of him yelling various comments about her, ranging from telling Gabby "not to choke" to weird comments about her interracial relationship. Emilee Chinn / Getty Images "Come on, Gabby. Don't choke like you did yesterday, Gabby. You're a choke artist. You're going down, Gabby." He continued to heckle her as someone next to him shouted, "Don't listen to him!" NurPhoto / NurPhoto via Getty Images "Come on, Melissa [Jefferson-Wooden]," he continued. "Melissa got married this year — [she] got a Black husband. Gabby got a white guy. I want Melissa to win." This was in reference to Gabby recently getting engaged to her entrepreneur fiancé, Spencer McManes, who happens to be white. NurPhoto / NurPhoto via Getty Images After sharing the post, some users called for the user to be banned from future track meets, as well as betting platforms. When Gabby found out the heckler was mocking her online and boasting about winning a bet at her expense, she decided to address him. NurPhoto / NurPhoto via Getty Images "This grown man followed me around the track as I took pictures and signed autographs for fans (mostly children) shouting personal insults- anybody who enables him online is gross." Hecklers have become a common occurrence at sporting events, but sometimes people take things too far. I'm glad Gabby addressed it the way she did. Less colorful, more meaningful: Sean O'Malley thinks lifestyle changes key to reclaim UFC gold

Less colorful, more meaningful: Sean O'Malley thinks lifestyle changes key to reclaim UFC gold Show Caption Hide Caption UFC 316: Sean O'Malley media day interview UFC 316 headliner Sean O'Malley spoke to MMA Junkie and reporters at media day for his bantamweight title rematch vs. Merab Dvalishvili on Saturday in Newark, N.J. MORRISTOWN, N.J. – It's a Sean O'Malley fight week and for the first time since 2020, there's no dye in the cornrows. O'Malley is in late-stage preparations for battle, but the dye isn't the only thing noticeably absent. His style was still there Wednesday as he sported an unbuttoned bright green shirt and his signature fight tattoos. But one accessory was missing: the UFC bantamweight title. Coming off his first UFC title loss and surgery to repair a torn labrum, O'Malley (18-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC) enters UFC 316 and quite possibly the most pivotal fight of his career. The moment the haters were waiting for, a fall from the top of the mountain, came in September when he lost the championship to Merab Dvalishvili. Despite the circumstances, O'Malley seems more at peace now than ever. "I just feel more slowed down," O'Malley told reporters, including MMA Junkie, on Wednesday. "Life is slower in a good way." The most pivotal adjustments, however, may have come outside the cage. O'Malley's cleansed his lifestyle. "I catch myself driving, kind of surfing Instagram," O'Malley said. "I catch myself doing stuff like that, playing with my daughter, surfing X. Like, 'What am I doing here?' I feel like limiting those distractions, I'm more present with the family, with training, with friends – just in general." Around his 30th birthday, O'Malley made this hard lifestyle pivot. He says the choices came independent of fighting but have paid dividends in enhancing himself as an athlete. "I've always felt like I'm a happy person, but I was like, 'My life is so perfect. Everything is so perfect. I should even be more happy. What can I take away to add to my happiness, to my peace?'" O'Malley said. "It was just to take away distractions. That was just for me, not necessarily for me as an athlete and wanting to be a better fighter. All of that will make me a better fighter, but it wasn't necessarily for that." Gaming, smoking, and even masturbating (which O'Malley previously referenced but was comically gun shy to mention again when pressed by a reporter Wednesday) – they've all been avoided this camp. O'Malley also showed up to fight week with a new baby boy, which he had not yet announced on social media prior to his arrival. "It's been good," O'Malley said. "Nothing to complain about. I had a healthy baby boy a couple weeks ago. All this stuff is fun, and I get to do this, and it's all good. That Sunday rolls around, it's back to being Dad. It's back to the family. That's all. This provides to be able to live the life that we get to live, and I'm super grateful for it. It puts in perspective what life is all about." If "Dana White privilege" is real, O'Malley is likely one of the beneficiaries, even he admits it. But as he also pointed out, the popularity was earned through knockouts, flair, and highlights. Through merit or privilege, O'Malley has a rematch vs. Merab Dvalishvili (19-4 MMA, 12-2 UFC) Saturday at UFC 316 (pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+) at Prudential Center in Newark. Perhaps the new, matured O'Malley will hold gold – just like the younger, less family-centric one did. "I feel like I got a good version of Merab," O'Malley said. "He had the best performance of his life against Umar (Nurmagomedov). I don't think he got the best version of me, so I think I can surprise him."

Meet the Kardashians' plastic surgeons responsible for Kris Jenner's new face and Kylie's 'teardrop' breasts

Kylie Jenner recently shared details of her breast augmentation, including her surgeon. Kris Jenner also confirmed her plastic surgeon, speculated to be the one behind her facelift. Dr. Garth Fisher and Dr. Steven Levine are their plastic surgeons with cutting-edge techniques. While most celebrities stay tight-lipped about their plastic surgeons, Kylie Jenner surprised fans by doing the opposite: listing exactly what she got done, down to her implant size and plastic surgeon. It all started when TikToker Rachel Leary posted a video asking Kylie to share details of her surgery. "Please, can you just tell me/us/anyone that's interested, what it is you asked for when you had your boobs done?" Leary said. "It's the most perfect, natural-looking boob job ever." About a day later, Jenner, 27, responded. "445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!! garth fisher!!! hope this helps lol," Jenner wrote in a comment. The Kardashians and Jenners are no strangers to plastic surgery, or to public speculation about what they got done. But between Kylie Jenner's TikTok comment and Kris Jenner recently confirming her plastic surgeon, the family is becoming a little more open about the men behind the facelifts. Dr. Garth Fisher, Kylie's surgeon, is known for 'teardrop' breasts Dr. Garth Fisher, a board-certified Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, has been the go-to plastic surgeon of half the KarJenners for years. He's been practicing for over 20 years. Known for his breast augmentation technique (which favors a more natural-looking teardrop shape over a circular look), he performed the surgery for both Kylie Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian. Fisher is popular for his trademarked "pinnacle facelift," a more customized and minimally invasive facelift that avoids skin looking too pulled-back or pinched. Prior to her viral facelift, Kris Jenner got a pinnacle facelift from Fisher. He also revised a facelift for Caitlyn Jenner prior to her transition, which was shown in an episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." Fisher has appeared on "ABC's Extreme Makeover" and has been ranked as one of America's top doctors by Castle Connolly, a healthcare research company. Dr. Steven Levine was behind Kris Jenner's viral facelift View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kylie Cosmetics (@kyliecosmetics) Kris Jenner, 69, is a client of Dr. Steven M. Levine, a New York-based board-certified plastic surgeon who does everything from eyelid lifts to breast implants. He opened his private practice in 2019; a year later, during the pandemic, he was so in demand that some clients offered to pay double or let him stay in their Hamptons home for a month, according to PEOPLE. While Jenner has been less open than her daughter about the exact procedures she's undergone, some speculate that she had a deep-plane facelift, where a layer of connective tissue between the skin and facial muscles is lifted to provide a more drastic, longer-lasting outcome. While it's unknown how much Jenner paid, Levine told PEOPLE back in 2020 that his facial work starts at $45,000. Levine has been ranked as one of the top doctors in the NYC area. New York Magazine also named him one of the top doctors for several years in a row. The Kardashians have had mixed plastic surgery experiences The Kardashians haven't always raved about their surgeons' work. Some regret past plastic surgery. In a 2023 episode of " The Kardashians," Kylie Jenner said she regretted getting a boob job when she was 19, months before her daughter Stormi was born. She thought she looked "perfect" before and wished she "never got them done to begin with." The KarJenners being more forthcoming about their plastic surgery could be a sign that they're happier with the results. Or, as The Cut speculated, they could be launching a plastic surgery-related venture. "Dr. Levine works hard, but Kris Jenner works harder," Carol Lee, a beauty writer, wrote. "If you know anything about the Kardashians, it's that everything they do is strategic — nothing is an accident."
