From Monday, customers across the UK will notice some fresh new titles appearing in their Sky TV listings.
The changes will affect users on Sky+, Sky Q and the newer Sky Glass and Stream platforms.
The rebrands are mostly part of Sky's regular themed pop-up strategy, which sees movie channels temporarily switching names to spotlight certain actors, franchises or genres.
One of the first big switches will see Sky Mega Hits return to its old title of Sky Hits HD.

That means fans can expect the usual line-up of mainstream blockbusters and all-time favourites.
Meanwhile, Sky Mission Impossible, which only arrived a few days earlier as a tribute to Tom Cruise's spy series, will make way for Sky 80s HD.
This channel will be packed with cult classics and nostalgic hits from the neon decade.
The changes aren't just limited to films either.

On Wednesday 21 May, two music channels are getting seasonal makeovers.
That's Oldies will rebrand as That's Summer, likely serving up sunshine tunes and feel-good throwbacks for the warmer months.
At the same time, That's Dance will become That's Pride, expected to feature LGBTQ+ anthems and content in the lead-up to Pride Month.
Sky will continue the refresh on Friday 23 May, when family-friendly channel Sky Family is swapped out for Sky Fairytale.

As the name suggests, this version of the channel is expected to focus on magical movies, fairytale favourites, and fantasy fun for all ages.
Then, just one day later on Saturday 24 May, Sky Cinema Action will once again rebrand – this time to Sky M:I, dedicated solely to the Mission: Impossible franchise.
Tom Cruise fans won't have long to wait between themed channels, with his biggest hits still taking centre stage across the schedule.
These channel switches come at a time of big changes in the TV world.

Earlier this year, Sky and Virgin Media users saw several long-standing channels close down completely.
Eurosport, Pop Max, and Sky History+1 have all disappeared from screens.
Much of Eurosport's content has been folded into TNT Sports, while Pop Max now lives online, and the closure of Sky History+1 is seen as a response to declining demand for time-shift channels thanks to on-demand viewing.
So far, no new channel closures have been announced, but experts believe more are likely to come as streaming services continue to reshape traditional TV habits.

With Sky regularly adjusting its line-up, customers are being encouraged to keep an eye on their guides for the latest updates.
The channel changes taking place from 19 May are expected to last for several days or weeks, depending on the theme.
Sky has not confirmed how long the temporary names will stick around, but viewers can usually expect them to run through short promotions, film seasons, or event tie-ins.
Whether you're into action, nostalgia, or musical throwbacks, there's something for everyone in this latest update.

But don't be surprised if your favourite Sky channel suddenly looks a little different next time you turn on the telly.
This is just the start - more changes ahead
Analysis by Jamie Harris, Assistant Technology and Science Editor at The Sun
Broadcasting is going through an almighty shift at the moment with the push toward streaming at a key point.
Eurosport and TNT Sports owner Warner Bros Discovery is making some big changes next year.
And it's likely Discovery+ will disappear as a result.
The UK is one of the few big markets where Max hasn't launched yet because of existing agreements with Sky, allowing Sky Atlantic to air big HBO-made hits like Game of Thrones and The White Lotus.
But the pair recently announced a new deal that will pave the way for Max's launch in the UK early 2026 as a standalone app, while Sky customers will get access at no extra cost.
So expect even bigger changes in the TV and streaming world next year.

Dallas Cowboys hero Dez Bryant slams NFL as gay pride post resurfaces: 'This is far from right'

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has attacked the NFL after their 2021 pride post resurfaced over social media. The 30-second video, shared by the NFL in late June 2021, says: 'Football is gay. Football is lesbian. Football is beautiful. Football is queer. Fotball is transgender. Football is for everyone.' The four-year-old post also encourages followers to donate to the Trevor Project, a suicide prevention organization aimed at helping LGBTQ youth. Now, at the start of pride month this year, the post has recirculated around social media and was noticed by Bryant - who had no hesitancy in underlining how unimpressed he was. 'Football is gay Football is queer Football is transgender.. these are wild statements to my silliness,' he wrote on X. 'I'm going to proudly tell my boys football is none of these things. I have nothing against Gays but this is far from right.' Football is gay Football is queer Football is transgender.. these are wild statements to my silliness. I'm going to proudly tell my boys football is none of these things. I have nothing against Gays but this is far from right — Dez Bryant (@DezBryant) June 2, 2025 Bryant has three childen, two of which are boys. His comment inevitably came under scrutiny, with one fan saying that 'gay people are persecuted while straight folk are not.' The 36-year-old Bryant wrote back: 'People in general are being persecuted daily.' Another follower responded to Bryant and said: 'You're digging a deeper hole and making yourself sound ignorant bro. 'It's not forcing anything, they didn't make a 'GAY Commerical', the commerical doesn't JUST say gay things. Seems to me like YOUR focus is other places.' 'I don't have a problem with gays… I just stated my opinion,' Bryant said back, while in another post to a now-deleted comment, spoke about gay players in the NFL. 'It's gay players in the forcing it in people's send the wrong message... Football is a real community, like the gay community,' Bryant wrote. 'Imagine telling gays they have to advocate for straight probably would have a problem.' Bryant then sent another message addressing the backlash he provoked, saying: 'I hate social media at times because people post fake positive things all the time and get bothered whenever folks have a real conversation. 'It should be a written rule saying you can't have an opinion because people are sensitive and all social platforms should be used for marketing purposes only lol.. I bet the goofy fake woke people have the most skeletons in their closet.' Bryant spent seven years with the Cowboys, from 2010 until 2017. In 2018, he tore his Achilles two days after signing with the New Orleans Saints. In 2020, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens and made six appearances.

Like JoJo Siwa, I dated a man after women — we're both still queer

Ever since JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes left Celebrity Big Brother in April, speculations surrounding their relationship have followed them. Throughout their time in the house, their friendship only grew closer and closer; they were constantly seen cuddling together in bed, enjoyed a few memorable moments in the hot tub, and were generally inseparable for the two-week experiment. Former Dance Moms star JoJo also made a couple of realisations about her gender and sexuality while inside the house, notably stating that she could potentially identify as non-binary, that she's still exploring her gender identity, and even changing her label from lesbian to queer. The pair's relationship has continued to blossom outside CBB too, as their latest selfie (posted on Chris's Snapchat) shows JoJo asleep on his chest. They've also now officially confirmed their relationship is 'not platonic anymore'. 'I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way,' she added. What I can't shake from my mind though is the endless criticism that JoJo has faced in the wake of CBB. The worst bit? Many of them are LGBTQ+ – and it reeks of bi and queerphobia. 'What happened to gay pop?' @funinika penned on X, formerly Twitter, while @MissTostapane said that the 'straightification of JoJo Siwa wasn't on my bingo card.' 'Chris Hughes posting a picture of himself in bed with the self-proclaimed inventor of gay pop, JoJo Siwa, on the first day of Pride Month has got to be some sort of homophobia?' @brvttie added, and @lesbianyoshi accused JoJo of being a 'lesbophobe.' Now, like JoJo Siwa, I too changed how I identified – but having previously dated women, the fact that I've been dating a man for the last six years doesn't make me any less bisexual. The first time I came out – when I was about 18, following a few drunken confessions to my friends on nights out – I told the world I was bisexual. But a couple of years later, having only really dated women while I was at university, I changed my label to lesbian for a brief period. At the time, it felt the most fitting, and I confidently explored my identity. Fast forward to 21, though, and I boomeranged back to bi. Shortly afterwards, I met my partner, and the rest is history. Time and time again though, I've felt invalidated for being a queer woman who is dating a man. There have been times where I've been made to feel like switching my label was somehow a betrayal of my queer identity (friends have jokingly suggested that I 'was a lesbian' until I met my boyfriend), and that I'm 'less than' for choosing to date a man when I could date a woman instead. But that's not how falling in love works, is it? I don't choose people to date purely based on their gender; for me, it's personality and shared interests that are attractive. And in the future, I actively want my kids to know that I'm not straight – even if I might be married to a man. Likewise, any suggestion that I'm heterosexual because I'm in a straight-facing relationship is offensive to me – and I'm forever correcting people along these lines. While I might be dating a man and I recognise the privilege that this affords me in situations that might be unsafe for LGBTQ+ couples in same-sex relationships, the simple fact that I'm bisexual means it innately doesn't fit the definition of a 'straight' relationship. Just because my partner isn't a woman – and I changed how I identify a couple of times – that doesn't mean that I'm not as equally as queer as a woman who is dating another woman. More Trending I'm forever wanting to stay connected with my community; I never stopped going to LGBTQ+ clubs, and Pride is still a yearly event in my calendar. It always will be. So, the fact that JoJo Siwa is now seeing a man doesn't make her any less queer. And while I don't necessarily condone the circumstances in which they got together – with JoJo's ex-partner forced to watch their relationship unfold and eventually being broken up with less than 24 hours after she left the house – sexuality can be very fluid. It's offensive to suggest that she's somehow 'less than' or a 'fake lesbian' because she realised that her previous label wasn't quite the right fit. It happens. Admitting as such takes guts, particularly in the public eye; sometimes, we're not born knowing everything about ourselves. We have to take a little bit of time to explore it – and that's OK.
