Carphone Warehouse is selling the latest iPhone with FREE Beats earbuds for £28p/m

The Sun26-04-2025
SHOPPERS hunting for a new smartphone - and some earbuds to go with it - should head to Carphone Warehouse.
The iPhone 16e, Apple's latest budget-friendly handset, is now available with a free pair of Beats Solo Buds.
Apple iPhone 16e with FREE Beats
Solo Buds: From £26.99p/m
The iPhone 16e, which launched back in February, is Apple's latest effort to provide a more affordable option for those who don't want to shell out for its flagship models.
Of course, like most things Apple, 'affordable' is a relative term, with the device starting at £599 - but in comparison to the standard iPhone 16 and its bigger siblings, the 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, it's a lot cheaper.
Apple has made notable upgrades, too, when you compare it against the last budget-friendly handset, the 3rd-generation SE which came out in 2022.
The Home button is gone, replaced by a sleek 6.1-inch OLED screen, and Face ID now replaces Touch ID.
Apple has also switched to USB-C charging, so you can use the same cable for your phone, tablet, and other devices.
The camera is upgraded too: though it has just one rear lens, it doubles as a telephoto with 2x zoom, perfect for portraits or zooming in without losing quality.
Video capabilities shine with 4K Dolby Vision at 60fps, ideal for capturing high-quality footage.
Battery life is another win, with up to 26 hours of video playback, easily lasting a full day or even two.
And of course, there's that deal-sweetener: Carphone Warehouse is throwing in a free pair of Beats Solo Buds when you pick up the iPhone 16e on a pay-monthly plan.
The Solo Buds are a straightforward and reliable set of earbuds that don't include premium features like noise cancellation but still deliver excellent sound quality.
They're currently available for separately on Amazon for £79.99.
These big-brand buds offer up to 18 hours of battery life, and with the quick-charge feature, you can get an hour of playback from just a 5-minute charge.
They're also compatible with both iPhones and Android devices, so you won't have to worry about switching ecosystems if you ever decide to change your phone in the future.
Carphone Warehouse iPhone 16e deals
If you're in the market for a new phone and like the idea of getting a free pair of decent earbuds, this might be the perfect time to make the switch.

"Really happy with the Fitbit Charge 6 so far. It's lightweight, looks good, and the tracking is super accurate — especially heart rate during workouts." For many of us, a smartwatch has become a daily necessity. The wearable tech can help monitor our steps, analyse our workouts, and track our sleep. There are a number of big name brands that people often look to, including Apple Watches and Samsung Galaxy Watches. However, the price tag that comes with these smartwatches can put some people off. Another popular choice is the Google Fitbit, which is often praised for its incredible battery life compared to its rivals. And currently, the Google Fitbit Charge 6 can be snapped up for under £100 on Amazon. The brilliant deal, which has seen a 29 per cent reduction from £139.99 to just £98.99, also comes with six months of Premium membership included. It boasts a seven-day battery and is water-resistant up to 50m. It comes in three different colours; coral, obsidian, and porcelain. It can track heart rate, has a built-in GPS, and more than 40 exercise modes. It also has automatic sleep tracking and gives users a daily sleep score, and can keep you connected to Google Maps, Google Wallet, and your calling, texing, and app notifications. Google Fitbit Charge 6 £139.99 £98.99 Amazon Buy Now on Amazon Product Description For those looking elsewhere, the latest Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) is currently £599. Or for those looking for a more budget-friendly option, the Runlio Fitness Tracker is down 35 per cent to £19.54. Coming back to the Google Fitbit Charge 6, it boasts a 4.2 rating from more than 2,000 reviews. Shoppers hailed its week-long battery life and accuracy. One delighted user said: "Really happy with the Fitbit Charge 6 so far. It's lightweight, looks good, and the tracking is super accurate — especially heart rate during workouts. "Battery easily lasts a week, which is a big plus. The sleep and activity insights have actually helped me make small changes that stick. Premium membership is a nice bonus too. Overall, a solid upgrade and totally worth it." Someone else agreed, adding: "Bought this for a family member, it is a nice little bit of kit for those wanting all of the fitness and health tracking features you need. "Happy with the battery life and it easy enough to use. Overall good value for money amongst a lot of other smart watch/fitness trackers that are out there." However, another user was frustrated that the watch didn't work when placed over tattoos. They said: "No heart readings [over my tattoos] so I had to change arms and have it point where there's no ink." Someone else complained about the GPS tracking, saying it was "very inaccurate and disconnected frequently" They added: "Would not recommend if your aim is to monitor distance on runs/bike rides etc." But a five-star reviewer hailed the Google Fitbit Charge 6 for playing a big part in their weight loss journey. They said: "From little movement to 10km every morning. The best buy I have made. "Reduced weight by 2.5 stones and feel fitter than I have for years. The watch didn't actually achieve this but 100% contributed toward it." Another satisfied customer wrote: "I really like Fitbits and this is my second watch as my old Charge 5 died in the pool. I am blown away! A really solid battery life as usual from Fitbit and lots of tracking features too! "Love the new workouts and Google Maps, and the obsidian black colour looks great. It also is really simple to use and turns on when you look at it automatically. "The price is quite reasonable because of the performance you are getting and the accurate heart rate. The watch's aluminium frame is durable just like the old Charge 5!" Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! 'Amazing' Sony headphones shoppers are calling 'best ever' cut by 45% to under £100

The Sony ULT WEAR headphones are now £99 on Amazon, down from £179, with deep bass, noise cancelling, and 30-hour battery life Whether commuting, working from home, or winding down with music, a good pair of headphones can transform the experience. With the right combination of sound quality, comfort, and smart features, some models stand out, especially when there's a significant discount involved. Sony's high-performance over-ear headphones have received a major discount, with many reviewers describing them as 'amazing' and even calling them the 'best ever'. The Sony ULT WEAR Over Ear Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones are now available on Amazon for £99, down from their original retail price of £179, a saving of 45%. Finished in black, the headphones offer a premium listening experience packed with features including deep bass, advanced noise cancellation, and up to 30 hours of battery life. The headphones are powered by Sony's Integrated Processor V1 and 40mm driver units, designed to deliver what the company calls 'ULT POWER SOUND'. Users can adjust the bass through a dedicated button, which activates two sound modes: Deep Bass for extra low-end punch and Attack Bass for added energy. The result is a powerful, customisable sound profile particularly suited to bass lovers. Noise cancelling is handled by Sony's adaptive technology, with an ambient sound mode available for those who prefer to stay aware of their surroundings. For calls, the headphones use beam-forming microphones and precise voice pickup technology to ensure clear audio, even in noisy environments. Other features include multi-point Bluetooth pairing, support for Google Assistant and Alexa, and quick charging, with 1.5 hours of playback from just a three-minute top-up. The headphones are compatible with iOS and Android and come with a compact carry case. For those who want alternatives, Sennheiser's ACCENTUM Plus Wireless Headphones are currently £139, down from £199.99, while Soundcore's Space One model is £62.99 and offers adaptive noise cancelling and 40-hour battery life. But if it's Sony's rich bass, smart design, and strong feature set you're after, this deal on the ULT WEAR headphones is hard to ignore. With a current rating of 4.5 stars from more than 1,900 reviews, the Sony ULT WEAR has received widespread praise for its sound quality, comfort, and build. One reviewer wrote: 'Amazing headset… the bass is huge… They look and feel good and sound amazing, the best overhead earphones I've probably ever had.' Another said: 'Great sound… great battery life… another Sony winner.' Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Others praised the headset's premium feel, with one review stating: 'Extremely high value for money. The build quality is absolutely amazing and they come with so many features. Noise cancelling is absolutely fantastic.' However, a few users expressed concerns. One reviewer reported a crack forming on the side of the headphones after six months of regular use, suggesting they may not be the best choice for gym wear. Another wrote: 'Too much bass and not enough soundstage. Good noise cancelling and comfort, but not great for hearing background instruments.' The Sony ULT WEAR is currently available for £99 on Amazon, reduced from £179.
