In a grand move to ensure maximum visibility, he has attached his new film's trailer to two mega releases of 2025.As per a source close to the film, Agnihotri's much-awaited 'The Bengal Files: Right to Life' will debut its two-minute theatrical trailer tomorrow, playing in cinemas nationwide alongside the big Independence weekend releases 'War 2' and 'Coolie'. The full-length trailer will be unveiled at a grand launch in Kolkata on August 16.advertisementGiven the hype around Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR's 'War 2' and Rajinikanth's 'Coolie', 'The Bengal Files: Right to Life' trailer will surely get the audience's attention, generating curiosity. The film was earlier titled, 'The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter'. However, Agnihotri later renamed it to 'The Bengal Files: Right to Life'.
The movie marks the third instalment in Agnihotri's "Files" trilogy, following 'The Tashkent Files' (2019) and 'The Kashmir Files' (2022). 'The Bengal Files: Right to Life' is based on events like Direct Action Day and the Noakhali riots. Agnihotri has described these incidents as a "Hindu genocide" and aims to shed light on this often overlooked chapter of Indian history. The earlier-released, spine-chilling teaser of the film shows claims about communal politics, and a man asking who is really independent even after 80 years of independence from British rule.Watch the teaser here: Agnihotri and his team's decision to go as per their initial plans to launch the trailer in Kolkata indicates a crucial element, given the political controversies associated with the film. The 'The Bengal Files: Right to Life' director had claimed about multiple FIR's being filed against him by the West Bengal government. His decision to play the film's trailer in Kolkata comes right after the state government made it compulsory for all cinema halls to screen Bengali films daily during prime time.'The Bengal Files: Right to Life' is co-produced by Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi. It was shot in Mumbai instead of Kolkata, due to safety concerns for the film's team. The film Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar and Pallavi Joshi in key roles.'The Bengal Files: Right to Life' is scheduled for theatrical release on September 5, 2025.- EndsMust Watch

'Kingdom' box office collection Day 15: Vijay Deverakonda starrer struggles amid 'Coolie', 'War 2' release; Collections see sharp decline on Thursday

Picture Credit: X Vijay Deverakonda 's 'Kingdom', which hit theatres on July 31, seems to be losing steam at the box office. The spy action drama has been facing an uphill battle in recent days, especially with massive releases like Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' and Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's 'War 2' taking over the prime spots in cinemas. This fierce competition has pushed 'Kingdom' to the sidelines, resulting in a drastic drop in its earnings. According to early estimates from Sacnilk, Kingdom managed to collect just Rs 2 lakh on Thursday, August 14, its 15th day in theatres. This marks one of the lowest single-day earnings for the film, which hasn't crossed the Rs 1 crore mark on any day since its second Sunday. On Day 11, the film earned Rs 1.15 crore, but the numbers took a steep dive soon after. The second Monday brought in Rs 0.47 crore, followed by Rs 0.43 crore on Tuesday, and Rs 0.27 crore on Wednesday. With Thursday's early estimate of Rs 2 lakh, the total box office collection for 'Kingdom' now stands at Rs 51.94 crore. Theatre occupancy On August 14, 'Kingdom' recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of just 16.15%. Morning and afternoon shows saw no footfall at all, while evening shows drew 14.07% and night shows peaked slightly at 18.23%. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like This Could Be the Best Time to Trade Gold in 5 Years IC Markets Learn More Undo Such figures indicate that the film is struggling to hold audience attention amidst the dominance of newer, high-profile releases. The sharp drop in both collections and occupancy signals that the film's theatrical run may be nearing its end unless it finds renewed momentum over the weekend. About 'Kingdom' Directed by 'Jersey' fame Gowtam Tinnanuri , the movie tells the story of Surya, who is an undercover police constable in Sri Lanka, looking to dismantle a smuggling syndicate while reconnecting with his estranged brother. It stars Vijay Deverakonda, Bhagyashri Borse, Satya Dev, and Ayyappa P Sharma in key roles. 50 years of Rajinikanth: When the Tamil star spoke about looking his age and not wearing wig off-screen

In an industry that runs as much on vanity as it does on talent, Rajinikanth is one such actor who isn't afraid to show his real self. While his on-screen persona might be all about the swagger, shiny wig, flashy clothes, et al, his off-screen personality is the polar opposite in simple clothes and receding hair. In a 2010 interview with The Telegraph India, Rajinikanth spoke about why he looks his age off-screen. (Also Read: Lakshmi Manchu on 50 years of Rajinikanth: 'One should pray for the kind of friendship he has with my dad Mohan Babu') Rajinikanth's off-screen personality looks nothing like his on-screen persona and he has a reason why. Rajinikanth on looking his age off-screen Rajinikanth was asked how his fans feel when they see him with a receding hairline, no wig and grey hair off-screen. He said, 'It is important to them how you look on celluloid; they're paying for that. There they feel: my hero should look like a hero. On celluloid if you come like that they will hate it. Outside it doesn't matter. People are intelligent, they know everything. So why unnecessarily give yourself discomfort?' The actor also admitted that romancing women younger than him was getting awkward and that he was feeling his age, stating, 'Sometimes when I do action scenes or when I dance, I feel it. Age is age. But technicians, directors, they know and they manage. When doing a romantic scene now, you feel awkward. Even if you say it's just acting, you do feel a little embarrassed.' This interview was taken after Aishwarya Rai, who is more than 20 years younger than him, had played his romantic interest in Enthiran. Rajinikanth also credited his 'small build, tight skin' to his genes, yoga and meditation back then, commenting on how his parents didn't pass down BP or diabetes to him. 50 years of Rajinikanth Numerous celebrities, including Kamal Haasan, Hrithik Roshan, Mammootty, Mohanlal and others, congratulated the actor on the milestone of completing 50 years in the film industry. His latest film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was released on 14 August, breaking several box office records on its opening day.
