‘Israel' imposes up to $400 fee on each Jordanian aid truck to Gaza
Jordan's Minister of Government Communications, Dr. Mohammad Al-Momani, said Wednesday that 'Israeli' authorities are deliberately hindering Jordanian aid convoys headed to Gaza by imposing new customs fees and logistical barriers that severely delay the delivery of humanitarian assistance. In a press statement, Al-Momani revealed that as of July 10, 'Israel' began charging a new customs fee of $300–$400 per aid truck crossing from Jordan into Gaza, creating an added financial burden on relief efforts. He also outlined several non-financial obstacles, including: Unlimited inspection times: Trucks are subjected to prolonged inspections at border crossings. Restricted working hours: Inspections are only allowed during official working hours. Bureaucratic hurdles: Convoys must submit electronic applications in advance. These measures have extended the delivery time from two hours to nearly 36 hours, according to the minister. Despite these challenges, Al-Momani emphasized that Jordan remains committed to delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, including through airdrops. He stressed, however, that air deliveries are not a sufficient alternative to land convoys, which he described as Gaza's main humanitarian lifeline currently facing 'systematic obstruction.'

PSD rolls out strict security, traffic plan for Tawjihi results day
Ammon News - As Jordan prepares for the announcement of Tawjihi (high school) exam results, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) is rolling out a robust security and traffic plan to maintain order and prevent disruptive or dangerous celebrations. The initiative, designed to ensure public safety and protect property, targets risky behaviors often seen during this time, particularly celebratory gunfire, chaotic vehicle processions, and passengers hanging out of moving cars. Authorities will increase their presence on the ground with both uniformed and plainclothes officers, supported by surveillance technology and coordinated operations across police divisions. Intelligence units will also be active, and any violations, especially the use of firearms, will be dealt with swiftly and firmly. Offenders will face legal consequences. Traffic patrols will be deployed across all governorates to keep roads flowing smoothly and to crack down on reckless driving, vehicle stunts, and unregulated convoys that could endanger lives or block traffic. The Directorate extended its best wishes to all students awaiting results and urged families and communities to celebrate responsibly. Citizens are encouraged to report any violations or dangerous behavior by calling 911 or messaging the designated WhatsApp number (0797911911). Reports will be handled with strict confidentiality.
