Disgraced influencer ‘Liver King' arrested in Texas days after calling out Joe Rogan in unhinged posts

New York Post4 hours ago

Fitness influencer and alleged fraudster 'Liver King' was arrested in Texas on Tuesday — just days after posting a series of bizarre social media videos, one in which he challenged popular podcaster Joe Rogan to fight.
Brian Johnson, 47, known across social media as the 'Liver King,' faces a misdemeanor charge of making a terroristic threat and was booked into the Travis County Jail in Austin at 8:31 p.m., online records show.
Johnson, who gained his following by promoting his barbarian-like diet, was confirmed as the suspect who was nabbed in Texas, according to KXAN, citing sources.
Further details of his arrest are not known.

The Post has reached out to the Austin Police Department for comment.
Johnson, wearing a burgundy hoody, sweatpants and an old school tactical vest, is captured in handcuffs and placed in the back of a patrol car in front of what appears to be a hotel as his wife Bozena 'Barbara' Johnson looks on, footage posted to the influencer's Instagram page showed.
Minutes before his arrest, Johnson is seen frantically pacing around the living room with meditation music playing, talking about going to 'prison,' being 'arrested,' and 'fighting' Rogan.
Johnson's cameraman — who is told by the fitness influencer to keep filming — shares that he's dealing with the cops and advises 'Liver King' not to take a knife with him as he tries to put a utility knife in his pocket. He then continues to call out Rogan to fight him.
Two people then enter the room and inform the 'Liver King' that it's time to go after they appear to be summoned inside by the cameraman to 'make their presence known.'

He then goes on a rant to them about not being allowed enough time to 'sh-t,' pleading with them for 12 more minutes.
In another continuous video, Johnson is seen slipping on coffee while still calling out Rogan, with a box bearing the 'Joe Rogan Experience' logo on the table.
He tells everyone in the room, 'If I'm arrested,' that the container with Rogan's podcast logo goes to the 'Mothership,' Rogan's Austin comedy club while holding a black ammo can.
Johnson then instructs the cameraman — whom he calls Justin — to ensure the video is uploaded to the internet before calling his two sons into the room, where they discuss a 'free wifi password' they appear to claim jokingly is 'f–k Joe Rogan.'

The 'Liver King' then calls his family over for a group hug and prayer, moments after emergency sirens can be heard in the background.
It is unclear who the social media influencer allegedly made threats against or if the UFC commentator was the reason Johnson was arrested.
However, the influencer did go on an unhinged rant against Rogan on Monday, where he challenged him to an 'honorable' fight.
7 Throughout his videos, the 'Liver King' continues to call out Rogan to fight him.

'Joe Rogan, I'm calling you out, my name's Liver King. Man to man, I'm picking a fight with you,' he said, wearing a wolf pelt.
'I have no training in Jiu-jitsu, you're a black belt, you should dismantle me. But I'm picking a fight with you. Your rules, I'll come to you, whenever you're ready.'
In a video posted a day before his arrest, he again challenged the podcaster to fight him 'man to man' and that he has his 'family to fight for.'
'You never come across something like this, willing to die, hoping that you'll choke me out because that's a dream come true,' Johnson said in his rant.
7 Joe Rogan has never hosted the 'Liver King' on his podcast.

Rogan has never hosted the 'Liver King' on his podcast, but has discussed Johnson's steroid use on his podcast.
The podcaster moved to Austin in 2020 after leaving California during the pandemic and lives in a massive $14.4 million home, according to Realtor.
Johnson claims his diet consisted of animal liver, testicles, and fertilized chicken eggs, and outrageous workout routines.
He claimed he earned his Greek God-like physique by following this insane diet and an intense exercise regimen with just a few supplemental pills.

However, it was revealed he misled the public after leaked emails showed he was spending $11,000 a month on steroids to achieve his physique.
He later admitted he had experimented with testosterone and human growth hormone (HGH).
Johnson was featured in the Netflix documentary 'Untold: The Liver King' about how he created his social media and supplement empire.

Dad Nails Exactly Why 'Toddlers Are Terrorists'

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A sleep-deprived dad has left internet users screaming after recounting the many ways he has been personally victimized and held hostage by his own toddler. Once upon a time, André Crews of New Jersey used to enjoy peaceful mornings, time to himself, and a good night's sleep. But now with a 3-year-old son, that is all firmly in the past. Indeed, life as a dad is very different for Crews, 38, who shared an Instagram Reel (@andrecrews) comparing toddlers to terrorists. They may look cute and harmless, but Crews told Newsweek that toddlers like his son "have all the leverage and cannot be negotiated with." Of course, Crews loves being a dad to Jameson, and a dog owner to Hawley and Jersey, but it is not without its challenges. It doesn't matter if they want chocolate, a new toy, or refuse to get in the bath—it is their way or nothing. From left: André Crews of New Jersey walks his dogs and discusses toddler parenting. From left: André Crews of New Jersey walks his dogs and discusses toddler parenting. @andrecrews / Instagram "Toddlers have very little understanding of their emotions and how to express themselves, so their behaviors can be wildly erratic," Crews said. "We just have to do what they say in the middle of the night or everyone pays the price. The same can be said if we're out in public and something upsets him. "If I don't get him his yogurt or come lie down next to him or rub his back until he falls asleep, he will scream and not only wake up my wife and dogs, but our neighbors in the townhouse community," he continued. While he was walking his dogs, Crews recorded a video discussing the many ways "toddlers are terrorists" and how he has been held hostage by his own son. He had no idea the video would go viral with over 3.4 million views and more than 219,000 likes at the time of writing. The online reaction has been astonishing for Crews, who said he was just venting his "fatigued frustration." Plenty of parents related to the video and said they finally felt seen. Crews said: "Having a toddler is like living with your best friend from college who habitually drank too much, blacked out, did terrible things, but somehow woke up before you the next morning and brought you a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. "The sleep deprivation is horrible, but I love being Jameson's dad. He is hands down my favorite person; at least during daylight hours. I am blessed to have a happy, funny, smart, hardworking son. I know that this phase is just temporary, so I'm trying to enjoy it as much as possible," Crews said. It is hard to count the many ways he has been victimized by his own son, but most notably it happened when Jameson transitioned from a crib to a children's bed. The idea was that he could have more space and independence, but he evidently wasn't fond of that idea. Crews said that his toddler started walking into his parents' room "any time he felt the need to." One night, he made 10 appearances and was "screaming as if he was being tortured" each time. Now, Crews has just set up a comforter in his son's room instead. It certainly doesn't offer the same lumbar support, but there is just no way of compromising with a toddler. "During the day, we discuss what happened the night before. I try to explain to him that he needs sleep to grow up to be big and strong. And that mommy and daddy need sleep so we can take care of him," Crews said. The viral Instagram video has amassed over 6,000 comments so far, as social-media users lauded Crews for his take on parenting. One comment reads: "The meanest humans are all between 2 & 4 yrs old." Another Instagram user wrote: "It's preparation for the teenage years. Gotta be strong!" A third person joked: "The accuracy of this. I swear they just tiny villains." One commenter added: "I felt these words in my soul." Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share? We want to see the best ones! Why Demi Skipped 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Reunion

The cast of Hulu's Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will soon be gathering to put their heads together and ask life's most eternal question: will #MomTok survive this? The answer: probably not, especially since Demi Engemann—who is absolutely central to the drama this season—chose to skip the event. Season 2's reunion is hosted by Bachelor alum Nick Viall, and a trailer just dropped that looks extremely dramatic. But it's unclear how the Mormon Wives will navigate all of said drama when Demi isn't at their group therapy session. So, why did she skip? Demi answered this burning question on Instagram a bit ago, saying "It was short notice and the only day they could get the location secured was the day that me and my entire family did Disneyland. We had already booked all of our flights and the Airbnb was nonrefundable or I would've moved the trip to be there. I tried to have production move it to another day and they couldn't swing it sadly." Meanwhile, Demi's ex Mormon Wives bestie Jessi Ngatikaura just told The Post, "I was frustrated because we all were told of the date weeks in advance and we just had to make it work. It's our job. I was actually teaching a hair class that weekend and I had 60 students who had flown in mostly from out of state to learn from me, and I had to have someone else teach the class and I have a lot of people disappointed and wanting money back. So for me, I had to make a big sacrifice. So I was really annoyed that she wasn't there, especially because she was one that everyone needed answers from." She added, "But I will say, everyone has different situations and whether she wanted to be there or not, it's what happened. And I do think that fans are going to see that you will hear from her at the reunion in a roundabout way and you still will get answers." Intriggggguing.
