Tanzanian club name their price for Kaizer Chiefs target

Kaizer Chiefs are are looking at a number of options both locally and abroad to boost their attack for nexts season.
Chiefs haven't been convincing in front of goal for several seasons now and coach Nasreddine Nabi
Nabi has gone on a personal mission to bring some attacking threats to Chiefs , notably in his most recent trip. The Tunisian mentor went back to Tanzania, a country he had great success in with Yanga SC. Part of his mission was to convince big target Feisal Salum to join him at Amakhosi. That, according to reports proved to be a rather successful journey.
But Salum appears not to have been the only target that Nabi was trying to lure to Chiefs. According to media reports both locally and in Tanzania, Simba SC star Jean Charles Ahoua. Now according to Soccer-Laduma , Amakhosi are indeed interested
'Nabi was here last month and it's believed that he said he was after Feisal Salum from Azam FC as well as Jean Charles Ahoua from Simba SC. Apparently Kaizer Chiefs have shown keen interest in these two players. It will all depend on the talks now on which one they can sign or if they sign both. But Nabi and another Chiefs official (Tera Maliwa) were here to look at those players last month,'
Another source admits that Simba have asked Chiefs to pay R10 million for their prized asset Ahoua.
'They are able to sell him (Ahoua). They are willing to sell him at the price they want. It's round about 600k USD (R10.7million). So Chiefs have to meet that if they really want him. That's how things are with Jean and Kaizer Chiefs,' said the source,

Orlando Pirates star offered to Kaizer Chiefs!

Kaizer Chiefs could be set for a shock transfer by signing one of the players from their archrivals Orlando Pirates. Chiefs are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season and that could lead them to rivals Pirates. It is not usual that players move directly between the Soweto giants, however, it has happened in the recent past. This is usually only through free agency, with names like Jimmy Tau, Lehlohonolo Majoro and Brilliant Khuzwayo coming to mind. Those players moved between Chiefs and Pirates without the clubs being involved in direct negotiations with each other. Then last season, however, Chiefs and Pirates negotiated a historic first ever transfer between each other. Amakhosi acquired the services of Bongani Sam from the Buccaneers, with the left-back signing for a reported R3 million fee. Now according to SABC Sport, there could be another direct transfer between the two clubs involving Thabiso Monyane. Monyane, however, will see his deal at Pirates expire in June and has reportedly been offered to Chiefs! 'SABC Sport has established that Kaizer Chiefs have been presented with the opportunity to sign right back Thabiso Monyane, whose contract with Orlando Pirates runs out this month. It's understood Monyane has not put pen to paper on a new agreement with The Buccaneer, but unclear whether this is due to the two parties not finding each other on personal terms of if Pirates are ready to release the player. What the public broadcaster has gathered, however, is that Monyane has been offered to Amakhosi as a free agent. it now appears as though his time could be over as it is believed the player's camp has held talks with Chiefs to potentially bring him to Naturena effective 1 July as a free agent next season.' Wrote the publication. Chiefs fans would you be happy to sign Monyane from Pirates? Buccaneers, how would you feel about losing the 24-year-old to Amakhosi? Kaizer Chiefs set to snatch rising star Ime Okon from rivals

Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly closing in on a major signing ahead of the 2025/2026 season, with highly-rated defender Ime Okon believed to be on the brink of joining the Soweto giants. The 21-year-old's contract with SuperSport United ends this month, allowing him to leave as a free agent, and Chiefs have wasted no time in making their move. After lifting the Nedbank Cup, Amakhosi are determined to build a squad capable of challenging on all fronts under incoming coach Nasreddine Nabi. Okon, who has drawn attention with his physical presence and calmness on the ball, is understood to be a key piece in that puzzle. 'They (Kaizer Chiefs) see him (Ime Okon) as a long-term solution at centre-back. I mean, he is only 21 and he could challenge (Inacio) Miguel, who is almost 30, for that position. On top of that, his contract expires soon,' a source told The South African . Okon previously caught the eye of scouts abroad, having attended trials with Danish top-tier side FC Midtjylland and Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv over the past 18 months. Despite impressing, no deal came to fruition, and he returned to see out his contract with Matsatsantsa. This presented Chiefs with a golden opportunity, and they appear poised to capitalise. Okon recently featured for Bafana Bafana in the COSAFA Cup. Which further strengthens his reputation as one of South Africa's most promising young centre-backs. His potential, youth, and international exposure make him an attractive prospect for a club eager to rebuild and restore glory. With negotiations believed to be at an advanced stage. And it looks increasingly likely that Okon will don the black and gold of Amakhosi next season. Will Okon be good enough to wear the Kaizer Chiefs jersey?
