Rebel Wilson rushed to hospital after almost being left 'permanently disfigured' following freak accident on the set of new film Bride Hard
Rebel Wilson has spoken out about almost being left 'permanently disfigured' after her nose was split open in a freak accident on a new movie set.
The Australian actress, 45, is set to star alongside Anna Camp in the upcoming action comedy film Bride Hard, which will hit cinemas on Friday.
Bride Hard sees Rebel play a maid of honour who doubles as a world-class secret agent, putting her skills to the test when armed mercenaries crash the wedding ceremony and force her to take down the bad guys.
In an interview with Access Hollywood on Friday, the Pitch Perfect star said all hell broke lose when a gun accidentally "whacked" her in the face and left her injured in a "pool of blood" on the final night of shooting.
"It was just a freak accident, and my nose got split open," Rebel told the US entertainment news program.
"So I left set, it was really my last night of shooting…'
'...the last fight sequence, my nose gets busted open, it's a pool of blood, if anyone has had a facial injury, they know, there's so much blood.'
Rebel said she was "freaking out" as production called an ambulance and a plastic surgeon to mend her broken nose.
The star said she was thankful they called the first responder promptly because otherwise, she would have been left "permanently disfigured."
"So we got the plastic surgeon, they did all the stitches, and you can't tell now, really, you can't tell," Rebel said.
Recent photos of the Australian A-lister show no immediately noticeable difference in her nose compared to before the accident.
The near-miss marks Rebel's first serious accident on the set of a film throughout her two decades working in the Hollywood film industry.
She has recently embarked on a media blitz in the US ahead of the release of Bride Hard and has heavily promoted the film on Instagram.
Rebel on Monday revealed her fashion designer wife, Ramona Agruma, made her screen debut with a cameo in the highly anticipated film.
"She was actually offered, but she has no desire to be in the spotlight," the actress told Today.
"But weirdly she has a cameo in Bride Hard because they needed somebody to speak Russian to play a Russian scientist."
"And so Ramona's like, 'Yeah, all right.' She just stepped in. She's not an actress, but she just came in and crushed it."

Jesse McCartney has become a father
Jesse McCartney has become a father - two months earlier than expected. The 38-year-old singer-and-actor - who starred as JR Chandler on the soap opera All My Children before joining the boy band Dream Street - and his wife Katie Peterson welcomed their son Archer James McCartney early on May 7. The little one wasn't due until August 8. In a joint post on Instagram on June 17, the couple announced alongside a series of pictures of baby Archer: "Archer James McCartney took center stage on 5/7/25. "Our sweet Archie couldn't wait to meet us and arrived a bit earlier than expected. We are so in love with him. He loves when mommy reads him a book and when daddy sings him off to sleep. We look forward to bringing him home very soon to meet his big sister Bailey [their dog], who sleeps with his blanket every night. Enjoy some cute pictures of our little fighter, Archer." The couple announced they were expecting their first child together on Valentine's Day 2024. Jesse and Katie tied the knot in October 2021, after almost a decade of dating. Asked what attracted her to Jesse, Katie previously gushed to PEOPLE: "For somebody who's so busy and always on the go, he just has this generous way of prioritising me. "We just make each other laugh. I feel the most comfortable being myself when I'm with him, which I think is really the true tell of when you found your person." Jesse previously told of his plans to start a family amid a musical comeback. Asked if he and his wife had thought about kids, he told Just Jared: "Yeah, we talk about it a lot. And I think that's definitely in the cards in the near future." Jesse - who made appearances on the Disney Channel alongside Miley Cyrus on Hannah Montana and Brenda Song on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody - added that he had been making plans for a comeback tour and celebrating the 20th anniversary of his first hit as well considering a move out of Los Angeles to start a family. He said: "Actually, I'm in the process of discussing that with my team. We talked about possibly going overseas. A couple of these songs are doing really well in Southeast Asia. And there's a big market over there. I think we have a lot of fans over there. So we're thinking about maybe touring over there maybe later in the year, potentially Australia too, because we were supposed to tour there in 2020 before COVID hit. "Then like I said, maybe trying to get something together for the anniversary of 'Beautiful Soul' if we can pull it together in time. "So those are the plans. And, you know, just sort of also personally working on family, trying to maybe start a family and potentially move. We love our home here, but we're thinking of getting something a little bit more family friendly. So real estate is another thing that we're looking into."

New celeb pics will have you seeing double
All eyes were on Kanye West's wife Bianca Censori when she arrived for a spa day, but it wasn't because she was once again near-naked. The 30-year-old drove herself to her beauty appointment in LA on Tuesday, looking almost nude as she embarked from her brand-new Porsche 911 Turbo 4S. Melbourne-born architect Censori put on a leggy display in a nude thong bodysuit with a plunging neckline that showed off some serious cleavage. Completing the outfit were her boots with the fur and black sunglasses. Bianca Censori made a bold fashion statement during a solo outing in Beverly Hills, wearing dramatic white furry boots. Picture: GAMR/KHROME/NEMO / BACKGRID The Aussie looked almost naked in her skin-coloured bodysuit. Picture: GAMR/KHROME/NEMO / BACKGRID With her cascading dark hair and equally dark shades, Censori closely resembled West's first wife, Kim Kardashian. The rapper was married to the reality-star-turned-beauty-mogul for seven years before their split in 2021. In late 2022, he began dating Censori and by December that year, they were married. The star drove herself to her spa appointment in her brand new Porsche 911 Turbo 4S. Picture: SPOT / BACKGRID This isn't the first time Censori has sparked comparisons to Kanye's former wife. Kardashian, 44, was called out for trying to look like her ex's new wife back in February when she rocked a nude leotard with a pair of fairy wings for her Skims shapewear campaign. Censori's latest outfit resembles Kim Kardashian's aesthetic. Picture: Skims Kanye West's first wife is also known for her long dark hair. Picture: SPLASH / BACKGRID In December, Kardashian was also compared to the Aussie model and architect when she posed in a teeny string bikini and plunging top on Instagram. 'Bianca has multiplied,' one person commented on the photo at the time, while another wrote, 'Kimca Censori.' Kardashian has also been called out for looking like Censori in this Skims ad from February. Censori is known to wear her hair slicked back, like she did at the Grammys this year. Picture:Now, it appears Censori has taken inspiration from Kardashian with her latest look as the voluminous hair resembles KK in her Kanye West era. But it appears the Aussie is following in Kardashian's footsteps in more ways than one. This solo outing comes after it was revealed earlier this month that Censori has started her own business empire. According to The US Sun, at the start of June she set up her first US company called Bianca Censori Inc. It was registered last month with the state of California and she is listed as CEO and secretary. It's believed her business will be in the beauty realm, given the chief financial officer is listed as Hussein Lalani, who specialises in selling cosmetic treatments. Lalani founded the skin care brand Zensa, which sells beauty procedures such as a DIY Brazilian wax kit and microblading. 2000s US rockers spark controversy after banning Donald Trump voters from their latest tour
Don't miss out on the headlines from Music. Followed categories will be added to My News. The lead singer of 2000s US rockers The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus has sparked controversy after banning Trump supporters from attending the band's shows. Frontman Ronnie Winter made the declaration in a video posted to his band's official Instagram page over the weekend, eliciting a mixed reaction from some of the rocker's fans on social media. 'If you voted for Donald Trump, do not come to my shows — forever, not just like these four years,' he said passionately. He then went on to call out Christian Trump supporters, ranting: 'If you're Christian and you voted for Donald Trump, shame on you. You are not allowed to come to my shows. I don't want you there. Don't come to my shows.' X SUBSCRIBER ONLY Rocker Ronnie Winter has sparked backlash on social media over his remarks. Picture: Instagram The band are embarking on a US tour. Picture: Instagram Winter continued: 'Do not come to my shows because you're going to hear a lot of propaganda, and you're going to hear like the actual words of Jesus.' 'You're going to see a lot of acceptance from all areas of life and races, and um, you're just going to see a lot of harmony, OK? That's not what you're about, OK? Don't come. Refunds are available. Forever, don't come. Goodbye.' 'It's awesome that you love Face Down, but it's not for you. It's not your song, OK? It is not your song,' he added, mentioning the band's most successful song that hit the charts back in 2006. While numerous fans supported the star's views, Winter comments were soon inundated with comments from Trump voters, with one replying: 'Poor baby doesn't want people to come to his show that voted for trump. Did your wittle feewings get hurt? Dawww, don't worry, nobody wants to see a one hit wonder anyway!' Another commented: 'When is the next show out West? Can't wait to be there with all my Maga buddies.' Trump supporters have flocked to then band's social media page. Picture: Getty. 'No one's goes to your shows anyway dude so I don't think you have to worry about Trump supporters coming bud,' sneered another. Elsewhere during his social media rant, Winter lashed out at fans who have criticised his liberal beliefs, insisting that being 'woke' just means 'being awake'. 'Look man, the thing about being woke is you're awake, and once you're awake you can never go to sleep,' he said. 'Not only has nothing changed, but everything they said was going to happen – the woke people – has happened. You have done nothing but prove them right.' Winter is the latest in a long line of musicians who are speaking up against Donald Trump as tensions continue to rise in the US in recent months, and in Los Angles over the last week. Winter joins a growing list of musicians who have spoken out against Trump's second term. Bruce Springsteen lashed out at Trump during his latest tour that's been marred by illness. 'In my home, the America I love, the America I've written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration,' Springsteen told a sellout crowd last moth.
