‘Shah Rukh Khan can romance pillars': Sushmita Sen recalls magical moments from Main Hoon Na shoot
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most adored actors in the industry. He has a huge fan following not only in India but outside the country as well. Whoever meets SRK, gets mesmerized by his kindness and gentlemanly behavior. Even his co-stars can't stop praising him. He is also known as the romance king and the reason is evident in his films. Let's look back at the time when his Main Hoon Na co-star Sushmita Sen opened up on magical moments from the sets and shared that he can even romance pillars. Yes, you heard that right! Back in 2020, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Sushmita Sen reminisced about her experience working with Shah Rukh Khan on Main Hoon Na, describing it as truly unforgettable. She highlighted how SRK was not just a co-star but a caring presence on set, always ensuring his female colleagues felt comfortable and well looked after. His thoughtful and graceful approach made everyone feel at home, turning the shoot into a magical experience. She added, 'SRK had once said that he can romance pillars and that is true. Some of the most magical moments in Main Hoon Na were not scripted, SRK made them come to life.' The actress further shared, 'Like in the introduction, he is not supposed to come on in his scenes and open his arms when Chandni walks in. He did that on the spot and it became iconic. Like that there are lots of lovely moments. He is one of my most loved co-stars, I am a big fan of SRK too.' Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in the much-awaited film King. He will star alongside his daughter Suhana Khan for the first time. Apart from them, the film also has a star-studded cast including Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma, Saurabh Shukla, and more in key roles. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is reportedly set to release in theaters during the last quarter of 2026, sometime between October 1 and December 31.

YRF halts Tiger vs Pathaan to revamp spy universe, shifts focus to Ranbir Kapoor-led Dhoom 4: Report
Yash Raj Films (YRF) has reportedly paused its much-anticipated project 'Tiger vs Pathaan', which was set to bring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan together on screen. The decision comes amid growing rumours that the film has been shelved, though sources suggest it may only be delayed as the studio rethinks its approach. According to a report from Peepingmoon, producer Aditya Chopra is currently reassessing the future of the YRF Spy Universe. 'Aditya believes the spy universe films are veering towards repetition and need a revitalised approach to storytelling and presentation. So he is re-evaluating the roadmap and making significant changes to future plans,' the report stated. The aim, it added, is to avoid 'formula fatigue' by exploring fresh directions and introducing innovative storytelling styles. In the meantime, Chopra is said to be shifting focus to another high-profile franchise - 'Dhoom 4.' As per News18, Chopra is working closely with writer Shridhar Raghavan on the story and screenplay. The reboot is being carefully developed to match the excitement surrounding the next chapter in the popular action series. The report also stated that Ranbir Kapoor is being considered to headline 'Dhoom 4', with the character tailored to match his unique on-screen persona. 'Ranbir is the apt choice for Dhoom 4 and the character is designed to keep his aura and personality in mind,' it said. The makers are also reportedly in talks with Ayan Mukerji to direct, with plans to begin production in April 2026. The new film is said to be set on a global scale, with a distinctive visual and narrative style unlike anything previously seen in the YRF Spy Universe. The YRF Spy Universe is centred on a series of spy action films, featuring three main characters so far - Salman Khan's Tiger, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, and Hrithik Roshan's Kabir. The franchise also includes comic books, graphic novels and video games. The next film of the franchise - War 2 - will bring back Hrithik Roshan's Kabir to the big screen. The film will also mark Jr NTR's Bollywood debut. Kiara Advani will play the film's leading lady. After that is Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Bobby Deol.

When Shah Rukh Khan ‘replaced' Salman Khan in Chak De India– what really happened?
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chak De India is considered among the finest films in his entire career. The movie not only impressed the audience but also emerged as a big money spinner at the box office, despite opening low. However, not many know that Shah Rukh Khan wasn't the first choice to play the lead role of Hockey coach Kabir Khan in Chak De India, but it was offered to Salman Khan. So, let's find out the reason why the sports drama couldn't materialize with Salman Khan. A few media reports claimed that Salman Khan had asked for a hefty remuneration for Chak De India. Because of the same, Aditya Chopra didn't work with him until Ek Tha Tiger (2012), where the Megastar signed on his terms. When Salman Khan revealed reason behind turning down Chak De India During Sultan promotions in 2016, when Salman Khan was asked why he turned down Chak De, the actor jokingly said, 'I left it because even Shah Rukh Khan should be a part of a few great films.' Furthermore, the actor mentioned that at that time, his image was not appropriate to play a sports coach like Kabir Khan. He pointed out that he left the movie due to the heroic expectations he carries among fans. 'When I was offered Chak De, my image was totally different as I was doing Partner and all those kinds of films. My only thing in Chak De was that my fans would expect me to wear a wig and win the match for India, which would not go for the film. That was not my genre at that point in time,' expressed Salman. The actor highlighted that Chak De India was inclined towards serious cinema and had fewer commercial aspects. He said, 'It was a more serious kind of film and I was doing more of a commercial kind of cinema which I am still doing. I would never move out of the commercial cinema zone but it is just that there would be a lot of meaningful cinema in the commercial zone.' For the unversed, Chak De India was directed by Shimit Amin. Released in 2007, the movie emerged as the second highest grosser of the year, only behind Om Shanti Om.
