Where ‘The Ultimatum: Queer Love' Season 1 Cast Are Now

Cosmopolitan26-06-2025
The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 2 is currently airing on Netflix, with a new batch of couples putting their relationship to the test to figure out whether they're ready to settle down, call it quits for good, or move on with someone new.
It's been two years since season one first aired on the streaming site and had us all well and truly hooked, and almost four years since the show was filmed.
With the new season underway, we couldn't help but wonder where the likes of Lexi and Rae or Tiff and Mildred are now.
From career changes to new relationships and an engagement, here's where the cast of The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 1 are now.
Despite Rae exploring a connection with Vanessa (ahem, Finger Gate) during their trial married, she ultimately chose to return to Lexi. Still, throughout the season, Lexi often dominated the dynamic, frequently overshadowing Rae. They were still together by the time the reunion came around and were even planning their wedding. However, they called things off shortly after the reunion aired.
Lexi is now in a relationship with Lil Z, who she refers to as her "wife" and the couple often share very loved up pictures on their social media — many of which have us wondering if we're interrupting something. The pair hard launched their relationship in 2023 and later got engaged.
In terms of work, Lexi seems to have stepped away from consulting for an international taxi firm and has moved into lifestyle content creation.
As for Rae, she's currently working as a software engineer and also appears to be in a new relationship with a talent manager named Caitlin.
On 22nd May, Rae shared a montage of videos and images of the couple, with the caption: "The butterfly effect is real because what if I was never issued an Ultimatum."
Tiff and Mildred had a pretty tumultuous relationship while on the show, marked by conflict and weekly breakups. While Tiff proposed to Mildred during the finale, things didn't last.
At the reunion, it was revealed that Tiff and Mildred had broken off their engagement after a domestic dispute that led to Mildred's arrest.
Following the show, Tiff went on to host the Fweebs Podcast alongside Karina Gonzalez. Tiff's Instagram bio states that they are a "Narcissistic Abuse Coach" and followers can access coaching sessions via a link. Tiff hosts and attends lost of Pride events in the US and has recently been making videos commenting on the new season of The Ultimatum.
After the show, Mildred continued her work as a Zumba instructor, but has since stepped away from social media.
Although turbulent, Sam and Aussie's story ended with a proposal in the finale.
Fans will be happy to hear that the duo are still together.
It's not yet known whether they've tied the knot yet, but Sam posted a picture of their proposal on 18th June with a very lengthy caption, where she stated: "And no I won't be commenting on our marriage status because it really doesn't matter whether or not you know. The exception is if we know you personally lol I don't really follow traditions anyways, but I will say it's funny that the Ultimatum actually helped me care less about marriage than I did before we started the journey."
The pair advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and mental health on their respective Instagram accounts, sharing lots of advice videos with the hope of providing more representation as queer Asians.
They are also the only surviving couple of season one, so they should be quite proud.
Xander and Vanessa were the only couple to part ways on Ultimatum Day, a decision that aligned with Vanessa's father's insight that she wasn't ready for marriage - she just didn't want to lose Xander.
Following the show, Vanessa debuted her new girlfriend. She also moved to Los Angeles. She has kept the identity of her partner private, although she does appear in some of her Instagram posts and the pair seem very smitten.
As for Xander, they still live in Hawaii but mentioned they were considering a move to Los Angeles or San Diego, where The Ultimatum: Queer Love was filmed.
Xander appears to be on good terms with Mal, who they posted a pic with last year June, writing: "Thanks for an amazing excuse to go see people I love @netflix" with some heart-eye emojis.
At the moment, Xander doesn't appear to be in a relationship, or at least a public one, and is focusing on their career as a Physical Therapist and Mind and Body Coach.
Despite Yoly tearfully accepting Mal's proposal in the finale, the pair broke up soon after filming as old issues resurfaced and Yoly's lingering feelings for Xander became clear. Xander and Yoly's relationship fizzled, however.
The pair remained single for some time after the show, but Yoly is now in a relationship with a content creator named Domenick.Domenick appears in many of Mal's Instagram posts and things seem to be going well for them.
When it comes to work, Yoly founded Lovers and Friends Chicago, which is a community for 30+ lesbians and queer allies. She also spends a lot of her time travelling and creating content.
Mal is in a new relationship with dancer Sammy Picone, and the fans approve, calling them an "awesome match".
In February, Mal shared a carousel of pics and videos with Sammy alongside the caption: "It's quite simple. I love you."
Sammy commented: "*zoomies activate* Baby I adore you. Thank goodness the universe persistently nudged us into each others' orbit."
Asides from their relationship, Mal is a mental health advocate, producer and makes fashion and lifestyle content.
The Ultimatum: Queer Love season two is currently streaming on Netflix.

Pete Davidson Embarrassed By BDE Discourse

Pete Davidson is reflecting on the public obsession with his 'Big Dick Energy.' If you're out of the loop, Pete's so-called 'BDE' became a huge talking point online while he was linked* to singer Ariana Grande in 2018. At one point during their relationship, Ariana replied to a fan on X who asked 'how long Pete is' — referring to her song called 'Pete Davidson' — with a joke about the size of his penis. 'like 10 inches? …oh fuck…i mean…like a lil over a minute.' Now, Pete has opened up further about the discourse around his 'BDE,' admitting during a new appearance on The Breakfast Club podcast that he was 'embarrassed' and 'hurt' by it. 'I was embarrassed by it,' Pete said, explaining, 'No one talked about any work I was doing. They were just like, 'Oh, that's the fuck stick.' And that hurt so much." 'I think after a year or two, everyone saw how sad I was about it — and embarrassed,' he said as he recalled working on Saturday Night Live at the time. 'I was never on Instagram flexing that lifestyle at all; I was very embarrassed by it,' he said before adding, "No one was outrightly mean by any means.' Podcast host Charlamagne tha God noted that he was confused by Pete's discomfort, saying, 'You was banging a lot of hot chicks and you had a 10-inch penis.' In response, Pete said, "You know, on paper, that sounds great… It's embarrassing, 'cause, you know... It's Hollywood. Everybody fucks everyone. Why are they focusing on me?' Pete went on, 'I don't want to victimize myself in any way because I'm cool, but the sexualization of me — if that was a girl, there would be a march for it... Seriously. You're just talking about my dick all day.' When asked exactly where the 'BDE' discourse began, Pete said, 'I think it was like the New York Times or something, when I started dating someone that I guess they considered out of my league… They were like, 'This guy must have big dick energy.'' He added, 'And then someone confirmed it,' seemingly referring to Ariana's aforementioned tweet. You can find Pete's full appearance on The Breakfast Club podcast here.

Here's why Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran signs autographs — a lot of them — on the street after most home games

'I've never seen anyone connect with fans the way he does,' said assistant general manager Raquel Ferreira, who's been with the team since 1999. 'It's incredible.' 'There's been no other guy that's had the patience and the time he spends with the fans after the game. I have never seen it,' said James Polino Jr., a Fenway Park security guard since 2009, who works at the entrance to the players' parking lot. 'He's one of the most outgoing players I've ever seen with fans on a nightly basis. There's been no other guy that has ever done what he's doing this season.' Enter Email Sign Up Related : Advertisement Once he starts signing, Duran feels compelled to do so for everyone who is willing to spend the time waiting for him. The result has been regular autograph marathons that start roughly one hour after the end of games (Duran works out postgame as part of his routine, slowing his exit) and stretch for 90 minutes to two hours, with Duran not driving away until 1 a.m. or later. Advertisement Why does he do it? 'That's honestly one of the more special times, is when I get to go do that and hang out with [the fans], and just feel like I have a pretty close connection with them,' said Duran. Throughout the 2024 season, Duran had a similar commitment — but the scale was different. He'd still stay after games to sign for every fan and to fulfill requests for selfies, but on most nights, that meant 30 to 45 minutes. This year — perhaps thanks to the Netflix series 'The Clubhouse' that captured a number of Duran's interactions — the numbers have multiplied in startling fashion. 'Now the word's out. It's not something that team personnel is advertising or anything like that. [Fans] just all know on their social media, and things like that, that he signs over there,' said Polino. 'It's easily 300, 400, 500 people [every night]. It's crazy.' Jarren Duran signing for some kids. — Pete Abraham (@PeteAbe) Despite the growing numbers, the interactions go beyond the superficial. Duran's public discussions of his mental health struggles — and 'I've seen it firsthand,' said Barret Arthur, Duran's agent. 'I've seen people bawling, asking for a hug . . . I've seen people that have literally said, 'You saved my life,' or, 'Thank you for Duran doesn't sign after every home game, but does so after the vast majority. There have been moments — particularly after a bad game or loss — when Duran will question whether he should once again commit to the time on Van Ness Street. Advertisement Yet he's found something powerful and encouraging about the ritual, both in the interactions and because the time with fans can help wash away on-field disappointment. 'Sometimes I'm like, 'Dang, I had a bad game. I don't know if I'm going to go sign, because I don't want to possibly run into something negative out there.' But I end up signing and it ends up being really good . . . There's some [negativity on occasion], but some of the other fans get on those people for making negative comments. So it's always funny to see that kind of interaction,' said Duran. 'That's always something I can lean on, is some of those fans cheering me on.' Related : Those fans have had plenty to celebrate following home games this year. Duran has strong numbers this year (.263/.334/.453 with a 118 OPS+, 12 home runs, and 19 stolen bases), but he's been a force at Fenway, hitting .294/.363/.523, a key contributor to a team that's been dominant (39-22) at home. As the team's success has built, so have the crowds waiting after games for a chance to interact with players. That's meant long nights for Duran — and others around him. 'The standing joke is he's getting us OT,' Polino said. 'I have enjoyed that part of it. I will never mind when a guy stays [to sign] after the game.' Alex Speier can be reached at
