'I know my lane': Kash Patel says he would stay out of 'Trump-Elon thing' on Epstein Files

Time of Indiaa day ago

Kash Patel said he would stay out of Elon Musk-Donald Trump spat because he knows his lane.
The Joe Rogan Experience episode of Joe Rogan interviewing FBI director Kash Patel dropped on Friday and proved that Kash Patel was giving the interview when Elon Musk called Donald Trump a pedophile, a sex offender whose name is in the Epstein Files.
Kash Patel was prepared to speak in details about Epstein Files as he had been doing in the last few interviews but the Donald Trump connection caught him by surprise and he said he does not know how Elon Musk would know about what is there in the undisclosed Epstein files.
"I am not participating in any of that conversation between Elon and Trump," Patel said as Joe Rogan read out the most ballistic post of Elon Musk on X.
"Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files.
That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!" Elon Musk posted. "Jesus Christ," Rogan said in shock and said it was a crazy thing to say on social media.

'Have a nice day? Someone should take his phone away,' Rogan added.
'How does he know? Does he know that Donald Trump's in the Epstein files? Does he have access to the Epstein files?' Rogan asked Patel.
'I don't know how he would,' Patel said, 'but I'm just staying out of the Trump-Elon thing.

That's way outside my lane," Patel said. "What the f**k are they doing?" Rogan could not believe. 'I know my line and that ain't it,' Patel resisted.
Rogan then said it was not healthy for Elon Musk to post things on X throughout the day and then argue with people, though he owns the platform. 'I understand he owns Twitter, I think it's bad for your mental health,' Rogan said. 'I think posting things public all day and arguing with people all day is bad for you.'
Patel sidestepped the question and said it segued to a crucial point, how the FBI has to fight the 'click army' on social media.

Srinagar's Jamia Masjid locked on Eid, Mirwaiz detained

SRINAGAR: Srinagar's historic Jamia Masjid was locked and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq placed under house arrest Saturday on Eid-ul-Adha, denying devotees the opportunity to offer prayers and provoking a backlash from many, including CM Omar Abdullah. Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar, which looks after the mosque management, said the gates were closed early Saturday morning and police deployed outside. Mirwaiz and Hurriyat Conference chairman Umar Farooq's family has traditionally led prayers at the mosque for generations. 'It is deeply regrettable that once again, people were not allowed to offer Eid prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid,' Omar said. He expressed helplessness, saying law and order in J&K Union territory fell under the purview of lieutenant governor (LG) Manoj Sinha's administration. 'I have no idea on what grounds such decisions are made,' the CM said. Omar urged the authorities to trust J&K's residents, saying 'these are the same people who, after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, came forward and unequivocally condemned it'. The CM called on 'the govt' to reconsider such actions in the future, alluding probably to the administration of the Centre-appointed LG. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq decried the mosque closure. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 임플란트 최대 할인 지원해드려요 임플란터 더 알아보기 Undo 'Yet again, Kashmir wakes up to the sad reality: no Eid prayers at Eidgah, and Jama Masjid locked down for 7th straight year. I, too, have been detained at my home. In a Muslim-majority region, Muslims are deprived of their fundamental right to pray even on their most important religious occasion celebrated across the world! What a shame on those who rule over us, and on those elected by the people who choose to remain silent as our rights are trampled over, again and again,' the Mirwaiz posted on X. J&K police and home department had not issued any statement on locking of the mosque and Mirwaiz's detention. PDP president and former CM Mehbooba Mufti joined the condemnation, accusing the Omar-led govt of being 'mere spectators'. 'J&K is the only Muslim-majority region in the country, and yet it is here that a major mosque is shut down on Eid, denying people their right to offer prayers. If govt claims everything is normal in J&K, why is the Mirwaiz not allowed to offer prayers,' Mehbooba said. Asked about the restrictions, BJP functionary and J&K Waqf Board chairperson Darkshan Andrabi declined comment. 'Jamia Masjid doesn't come under Waqf Board,' she said.

Trump posted on his Truth Social platform that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer would meet the Chinese team. Live Events The discussions will mark the second round of such negotiations between the world's two biggest economies since Trump launched his trade war shortly after returning to the White House in January. A first meeting, held in mid-May in Geneva, brought a pause to the US-China trade dispute. But Trump then accused Beijing of not respecting the terms of the de-escalation agreement. On Thursday the Republican president finally discussed the issues with Xi for the first time since the trade tensions soared, assuring that the conversation had been positive. Xi for his part told Trump the two should "correct the course" of bilateral relations, according to remarks quoted by official Chinese media.
