Love Is Blind UK fans have 'bad feeling' about season 2 couple after 'telling comment'

Daily Mirrora day ago
Love Is Blind UK season 2 is underway, with the cracks already starting to show for some couples on the Netflix series.
*Warning - this article contains spoilers for Love Is Blind UK season 2.*

Love Is Blind UK fans have been left divided over one couple, with some hoping they will go the distance and others predicting heartbreak. It comes after Netflix dropped the first four episodes of season 2 this week, with a fresh batch of British singles looking for love in the pods.

One Love Is Blind pair that quickly became fan favourites were 29-year-old medical company owner Sarover and 31-year-old gym owner Kal.

The couple have already faced a few obstacles, as they respectively come from Indian and Pakistani backgrounds, which they acknowledged could make it harder for their families to accept their romance.
However, Kal and Sarover decided their connection was strong enough for them to overcome these difficulties and became engaged in the pods.
Everything was going well when the pair jetted off to Cyprus, but things took a turn when Kal admitted Sarover was 'not his usual type'.
This comment was clearly playing on Sarover's mind, as when they met the other couples in the process, she admitted that the comment had made her less sure of his physical attraction towards her.
Fans were also concerned for the couple, with many taking to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to voice their thoughts.

One wrote: 'Kal better not break Sarover's heart! She's a gorgeous girl… he is giving me a bad feeling with her not being his 'type'.'
A second penned: 'Kal needs to stop singing about Sarover not being his type, like we get it, don't make the girl feel insecure.'
While a third agreed: 'Kal is going to annoy me this season I don't want Saraover to feel insecure because she's absolutely stunning!'

'Is it me or Kal is not into Sarover… Sad because she seems so nice,' another lamented, as another pointed out: 'Ya'll couldn't tell Kal wasn't into Sarover at the reveal? He barely complimented her.'

One more added: 'The kisses between Kal and Sarover seem a bit forced lmaoooo idk something is off with him.'
However, Kal and Sarover also have plenty of supporters, with one person writing: 'Hold on, Kal and Sarover's first date was so cute. I'm rooting for them.'
'Kal and Sarover are my ship. I hope they go the distance,' a second tweeted, as another concurred: 'Sarover and Kal you've won me over already.'
'Rooting for Kal and Sarover, they're so pure,' yet another added, as one more thoughtfully wrote: 'Kal and Sarover. Super chill and beautiful.
'I'm looking forward to seeing how you both navigate your cultural differences. Their reveal… Gorgeous, gorgeous.'
Nevertheless, Netflix viewers remain divided, with one more writing: 'I actually hope Kal and Sarover work out but idk I just don't see it.'
The first four episodes of Love Is Blind UK season 2 are available to stream now on Netflix.

But now, fans have slammed the reality star on social media, after a TikToker claimed he had a baby on the way while on the show. A creator named Story Time With Rikkii said in the video: 'Patrick had a baby on the way and didn't tell no body about it.' She then shared a photo of Patrick and the baby mum together while covering the woman's face. The TikTok went on: 'She was pregnant with his child when he went on Love Is Blind UK.' The woman who was pregnant with Patrick's child has allegedly spoken out about it too, according to the TikToker, writing: 'When he first tried to blackmail me, then goes on a dating show and then leaves you alone to go to Bali for 2 months spending his money there and then still calls you negative and a bad mom for losing it.' The video went on to claim that Patrick's baby mum wrote: 'Isn't it crazy how one parent gets to carry on with their life, jobs, hobbies, and social life, and the other parent has to ask for a break to take a shower.' Story Time With Rikkii continued to share a photo of the baby, as well as the woman pregnant and said: 'The math is mathing, and that means that he was in them pods with the baby on the way.' Annoyed fans have claimed that he "wasted Aanu's time" as a result. The Sun has contacted Netflix for comment. Love Is Blind UK star leaves viewers 'feeling physically sick' as he details his VERY unique job The star has also been slammed by fans after blaming the edit for his portrayal on the Netflix show. Patrick has taken to his own TikTok to speak about his split from Aanu in the pods. On the show, as he ends things, he says to Aanu that if he was in the room with her he would put his arm around her. But on his TikTok, Patrick has denied ever saying this to Aanu, claiming that he actually said it to someone else. 4 Patrick is accused of having a baby on the way when he filmed the show Credit: Instagram He wrote: 'They cut away from my face to edit in this dumb comment. 'I never said 'if I was there I'd definitely put my arm around you.' 'They took this from another date with a different person and why would I put my arm around someone I did not propose to. 'It even sounds so weird and out of place.' Fans have been left outraged, as one person wrote: 'This is such red flag behaviour. You can't just blame the edit.' A second penned: 'I smell bulls***,' and a third added: 'This is reality TV Patrick, surely you knew what you were getting yourself into.' Speaking in the pods to potential match Yolanda, Patrick said that he follows his spleen "literally to the second", later adding: "Listening to my spleen is the best way to find the love of his life.' While it didn't win over Yolanda or another hopeful, Catherine, the idea intrigued singer Aanu, who sparked a connection with him. But viewers were left baffled by his continued discussion of his spleen in conversation – with some left turned off by the chat, despite finding Patrick charming, saying it made them feel ill. "I loveee Patrick, do you know how nice you have to be for me to ignore the fact you keep mentioning your spleen??" wrote one on X (formerly Twitter). "Please the word 'spleen' is just making me cringe and feel physically sick. How many times are we going to have to hear this nonsense" said a second. "This bloke and his damn SPLEEN, his spleen should have told him to stay home," said a third. While a fourth noted: "The moment that guy talked about following his spleen, I would have been out of there." Despite the spleen talk, Patrick and Aanu did hit it off on the show - at least to begin with. However, the pair hit a wall when Aanu admitted that she puts a lot of weight into what her mum thinks, crediting her for helping her make decisions. The comment was received badly by Patrick, who said that his "spleen was silent" and that their connected had "dipped", with her telling Aanu that she needs to learn to follow her own instincts. From that point on, they struggle to get back on track – and when Aanu decides to open up to him by writing a song for him, he ends things before she can perform it. "I don't want you to give a song to someone who is undeserving of that song," he told her. "I've enjoyed thoroughly talking to you and going through this experience with you, but I have to follow my spleen."

Cancel your weekend plans to binge Sheridan Smith's 'outstanding' Netflix drama

It looks like Netflix subscribers are discovering a Sheridan Smith crime drama that first aired on ITV in 2012. Mrs Biggs is climbing up the streamer's ranking of the platform's top 10 TV shows – making a convincing argument for a mid-August weekend watch. Smith – who has so many British dramas to her name it can be easy to let one slip – stars in this five-part drama, which is based on the true story of the Great Train Robbery. The drama focuses on the relationship between Charmian, played by Smith, and Ronnie Biggs, played by Daniel Mays. It follows everything from their first lovestruck meeting and the fateful 1963 train heist, to its aftermath and their eventual divorce in 1976, after Biggs fathered a child in Brazil. We see the petty crook meet his soon-to-be wife on, of all places, a train. 'The future is full of possibilities,' he tells her. 'The past will only drag you down.' With that, the Biggs couple set off on a crime spree before they eventually decide to settle down for a quiet married life. That is, until the 'one last job' pops up in the chance to join the train robbers. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Some labelled the drama a sanitised version of events, but it was inspired by a letter Biggs sent to his wife following the death of their son Nicholas. Biggs's former wife Charmian was also a consultant on the show. The show's writer and executive producer Jeff Pope said he wanted to set out a romantic tale, rather than a romanticised one. 'We show Ron as perhaps a little too wilfully optimistic and Charmian is the cold voice of reason throughout. It absolutely would be a danger of a piece like this to romanticise it,' he told The Guardian. 'It will get laughed out of court if it's a slushfest. In the first episode, they steal, he strikes her, we acknowledge the fact he had a criminal record; further down the line, Charmian has an abortion by another man. We don't pull back, we don't flinch.' Praised at the time of its release for the quality of the acting and the excitement of the episodes, TV viewers have shared their positive reception over the years, as Mrs Biggs has been available on ITVX as well as Netflix. Taking to X, @AshWoody90 praised: 'Mrs Biggs on Netflix, possibly one the best things I have ever watched.' More Trending @elliot_gonzalez commended the creative partnership between the show's writer and star, writing: 'Jeff Pope and Sheridan Smith should always work together. Mrs Biggs, The Widower, Cilla and now The Moorside. All outstanding work.' @TVChatty wrote: 'All week I've been watching Mrs Biggs on ITV3. Why did I not watch it first time? Fantastic story and great acting. Really enjoyed it.' @lizcurran echoed: 'Sheridan Smith is wonderful in Mrs Biggs – she is one of my favourite actors. Utterly mesmerising – always.'
