Kostas Tsimikas shows off new tattoo to mark Liverpool trophy after title win

Yahoo02-05-2025

Kostas Tsimikas already had plenty of tattoos, and he's just had another one to mark a Liverpool trophy win. However, rather than marking the Reds' Premier League success, Tsimikas' new tattoo is of him lifting the FA Cup in 2022.
Tsimikas has not featured particularly frequently in the league for Liverpool this season, lining up on just seven occasions, so perhaps he felt a reference to Liverpool's cup win from three years ago would be more appropriate.
The 28-year-old started in three of Liverpool's six games en route to FA Cup glory, also coming off the bench in the final against Chelsea and scoring the decisive penalty in the shoot-out.

The tattoo depicts a newspaper article with the headline "Tsimikas brings it back" alongside a picture of the left-back lifting the cup. Tsimikas revealed after the game at Wembley that the penalty was the first he had taken during his career. He said: "It was only the first one and maybe I will shoot more often now!'
Tsimikas may not have featured a whole lot during Liverpool's title-winning campaign, but he has still appeared in 16 games — comfortably enough to guarantee him a winner's medal.
The left-back, who moved to Liverpool from Olympiacos in 2020, is the only Greek player in history to have won the Premier League. There is a good chance, however, that he will leave Liverpool this summer as the club targets a left-back who is capable of succeeding Andy Robertson.
Despite the Reds winning the Premier League, Robertson has endured a difficult season on an individual level, facing criticism after committing a series of mistakes over the course of the campaign.

It makes more sense, though, for Robertson to remain at the club to ease the team's transition to a new left-back, so Tsimikas is likely to be sacrificed.
Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez has emerged as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League this season and is believed to be a target for Liverpool. Bournemouth signed a new left-back during the January transfer window, with Julio Soler, 20, arriving from Argentinian team Lanus, and while he was not signed as a direct replacement for Kerkez, Soler's arrival would no doubt smooth over any possible exit for the Liverpool target.
In a YouTube stream during January, Kerkez responded to rumors linking him with Liverpool in a manner that Reds fans wouldn't have liked, saying: "I will not go to Liverpool. For everybody listening, I will not go to Liverpool."
It would be silly to read too much into that, though, given Kerkez was unlikely to say otherwise and risk piling unnecessary pressure on himself for the remainder of the campaign.
