Five men and boy charged over Brisbane jewellery store hammer attack that left shop owner needing brain surgery

Charges have now been laid over a terrifying hammer attack last month.
Five men and a teenage boy are accused of robbing Shree Ganesh Jewellers on Gympie Rd at Chermside, in Brisbane 's north, armed with hammers and metal bars on June 10.
The 38-year-old store owner, Bijaya Sunar, who was working at the time, was struck in the head several times with a hammer during the incident captured on CCTV.
A woman and child are understood to have been inside at the time.
The store owner's wife, Samita Subarnkar Sunar, who was also in the store at the time of the alleged attack, told 7NEWS that her husband required emergency surgery to remove a haematoma on his brain.
The group charged over the incident are accused of smashing glass cabinets and stealing a large amount of jewellery, before leaving in a grey Honda CR-V station wagon.
The car was found nine days after the robbery near the intersection of Aquatic St and Weir Cl at Berrinba, which is 40-minutes south of the jewellery store.
But in the days before the vehicle was found, detectives also conducted search warrants on a number of vehicles and addresses across Brisbane and Logan.
Queensland Police will allege that a number of items seized were linked to the offence.
Investigations are ongoing, and detectives are looking into a potential link to an armed robbery in Lutwyche on May 8.
'Strongly' object to bail
Five men between the ages of 20 and 29, and a 16-year-old boy, had their matters heard in court on Wednesday.
'All men have had their bail strongly objected to by police,' Queensland Police said.
The teen is charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, armed robbery, enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, endangering a child by exposure, serious drug offences and property offences.
A 25-year-old man from Carseldine and a 22-year-old man from Goodna were intercepted in a vehicle at Spring Hill on Tuesday night and taken into custody.
The 25-year-old Carseldine man was charged with accessory after the fact, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, armed robbery, enter premises to with intent and, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and endangering child by exposure.
The 22-year-old Goodna man was charged with five offences including one count each of acts intended to maim, robbery armed and enter premises with intent to commit indicatable offence.
Detectives also charged three other men — a 25-year-old man from Goodna, a 29-year-old man from Inala, and a 20-year-old man from Loganlea — over the alleged incident at Chermside.
They were charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, armed robbery, enter premises to with intent and, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and endangering a child by exposure, Queensland Police said.
Police still searching for young man
A 21-year-old man from Mount Gravatt is still the subject of a police search.
Queensland Police would like to speak to the man known to frequent the Logan and Inala areas.
Anyone who knows of the young man's whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
'Detectives have been working tirelessly to get us to today's result, and we are committed to continue working around the clock until all alleged offenders have been held to account,' Detective Senior Sergeant Ken Rogers said.
