Tom Brady gets icy reception at Indianapolis 500 as he dons tight race suit for quick lap around Brickyard
Indianapolis Motor Speedway didn't give the warmest welcome to a man who had tortured their NFL team for over two decades.
Fox Sports broadcast the Indy 500 in its first year of a new contract with the IndyCar series and brought out many of their talents across the various leagues they cover.
One of those was former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who was introduced to the crowd in a full race suit with his name and iconic No. 12 on the back.
Naturally, Indianapolis didn't take too kindly to seeing the man who had tortured their beloved Colts over the years.
Brady was drenched in a chorus of boos from the fans at IMS as he waved to the crowd before the race got underway.
Not only was Brady there, but so was his fellow NFL personality Michael Strahan as well as MLB broadcasters and former New York Yankees teammates Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez.

Before the race got underway, Brady got to ride in the cockpit of an IndyCar going for a hot lap around the famous circuit.
While seven-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson drove the seven-time Super Bowl champion around the track, Brady was stunned by the experience
'This is incredible, Jimmie driving, all the fans here, I can't believe this is the first time I've ever been here,' Brady said.
Brady was incredibly successful against the Colts across his career, putting up a record of 16-4 against Indianapolis.
That includes wins in the 2003 AFC Championship, the 2004 AFC Divisional round, the 2013 AFC Divisional round, and the 2014 AFC Championship. His only playoff loss to the Colts came in the 2006 AFC Championship.
His last game against the Colts came with the Buccaneers in 2021, with Brady winning 38-31.
As for the actual running of 'The Greatest Spectacle in Racing', Alex Palou of Chip Ganassi Racing became the first Spaniard to ever win the Indianapolis 500.
He just edged out 2022 Indy 500 winner Marcus Ericsson thanks to a bold pass with 14 laps to go.

Ben Askren rushed to hospital with severe pneumonia as wife reveals he is 'unable to respond to anything'
Former MMA world champion and Team USA Olympian Ben Askren has been rushed to hospital and is in critical condition. On Saturday Ben's wife Amy posted on Facebook to clarify that her husband, 40, is unresponsive after being hospitalized following a sudden bout of pneumonia. She wrote on Facebook: 'You may have heard that my husband Ben is going through something. He developed severe pneumonia which came on very suddenly. He's currently in the hospital and unable to respond to anything at this time.' Amy added: 'We welcome all prayers for healing and for peace. 'We are trying to keep life as normal as possible for our children currently and doing our best to support them thoughtfully so please refrain from discussing it with them for now.' The news sparked support from the MMA community, with former UFC star Chael Sonnen writing on X: 'Ben is alive and prayers are wanted. Family choosing privacy at this time.' Floyd Mayweather reveals he only had FIVE ‘tough' fights in entire career as Conor McGregor and Canelo Alvarez snubbed
FLOYD MAYWEATHER can count on one hand the amount of tough fights he had during his legendary career. Mayweather officially retired in 2017 at 50-0 - a record that is yet to be matched - with world titles in FIVE different weights. 6 Up until his final bout - against UFC star Conor McGregor - the American beat 15 champions in a row. But he named Emanuel Augustus - who famously adopted the Drunken Master technique - as one of his toughest fights. Mayweather beat Augustus in 2000 but credited the unorthodox showboater as one of his hardest opponents alongside Miguel Cotto. He told FightHype in 2013: 'I probably had six tough fights, if that, probably five tough fights. "Cotto was a tough fight, Emmanuel Augustus was tough, Cotto you know he was tough. "[I can name] those two that I can name off the top of my head, probably a few other fights but we got through it.' Augustus would act drunk during fights, prancing awkwardly around the ring to try and throw off his opponents. And even Mayweather struggled to cope with Augustus' unusual style in their bout - which he won on points. Augustus finished his 78-fight career with 38 wins, 34 defeats and six draws - losing his last six bouts before his 2011 retirement. Cotto meanwhile is a four-division world champion who faced Mayweather for the WBA light-middleweight title in 2012. Justis Huni's incredible dressing room reaction just moments after Fabio Wardley's comeback KO Mayweather came up from welterweight to win over 12 rounds - but he was bloodied from the nose due to Cotto's effective roughouse tactics. Cotto retired in 2017 after an iconic career just months after Mayweather's final bout. Mayweather - who beat Canelo Alvarez in 2013 - left the sport as the richest boxer of all time - boasting of earnings over £1BILLION. Around half of that were made for his pair of wins over Manny Pacquiao and McGregor. The Pacquiao fight was over five years in the making and resulted in Mayweather outfoxing his great rival over the distance. 6 6 6 And he told The Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast: "The best fighter I ever fought, probably was Manny Pacquiao. Because of his movement. "But he's a helluva' fighter and I can see why he won so many fights and I can see why he's going down as a Hall of Famer, it's just certain moves that he made. "But the roughest fighter probably was a guy named Emanuel Augustus. The Drunken Master. He was tough. "And Miguel Cotto was very, very physically strong. So, you've got different fighters, different days you feel different ways. "So some days you can go over there and you may not feel that good but you go over there and feel superb." Mayweather - snubbing McGregor from any list of tough fights - continues to box in exhibition bouts after retiring. His last came in August 2024 against the grandson of notorious New York crime boss John Gotti. 6 6

US Open release incredible video of army of lawnmowers to tackle rough as stars brand conditions ‘unplayable'
EVEN the world's best players are going to struggle to get out of the rough as the US Open tees off at Oakmont this week. The PGA Tour 's top hitters will battle it out around the Pennsylvania course starting this Thursday - and a video of the thick rough being tamed by greenkeepers has shown just how tricky it will be. 8 8 8 8 An army of Oakmont Country Club greenkeeper armed with lawnmowers have been wading through the rough to try and make things slightly earier. But the conditions still appear to be about as tough as it gets, with players aware they will need to do everything they can to keep the ball on the fairway in the year's third major. Videos circulating on social media show that a ball dropped from knee height into the rough is almost completely lost in the thick stuff. While players have voiced their concerns for just how difficult it will be to play in the conditions this week. Tyrrell Hatton shared a video of a practice round that showed him struggling to even see his ball in the long grass. And the world number 24 had to give it his all just to be able to knock the ball back onto the fairway with a wedge in hand. Two-time US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau told his YouTube channel: "This course doesn't just challenge your game, it challenges your sanity." Adding: "This is the hardest this golf course could ever play right now.' 8 8 While three-time major champion Jordan Spieth said: "This course is built to be like this. 'So they're not doing a whole lot different to the golf course. Jason Weaver is super proud as son Tyler qualifies for US Open alongside Rory McIlroy "You hit a good shot, you get rewarded for it here. And if you don't, you're in big trouble. It's pure golf, no funny business about it.' Jhonattan Vegas, who finished T5 at the PGA Championship last month, even branded the rough as "unplayable". The USGA have been criticised in recent years for making the US Open courses too hard, but some fans enjoy seeing the top pros battle to make par - seeing it as more familiar to their own game. The rough on Oakmont stands at 5 INCHES tall, with the course trimmed to ensure that is uniform throughout all 18 holes. The course crew have detailed that they even mow the grass in a specific way to ensure it doesn't lay over itself and allow the ball to rest on top - making the rough is as punishing as possible. All 156 players will take swing at trying to beat the course when the action gets underway on Thursday. World number one Scottie Scheffler remains the favourite to lift the trophy after he earned his third major title at the PGA Championship in North Carolina last month. While DeChambeau, Rory McIlroy, John Rahm and Ludvig Aberg are all amongst the top contenders for the title too. 8 8
