Women's Committee in Al-Hosn, Sana'a Governorate, holds event commemorating Imam Hussein's Martyrdom

Saba Yemen06-07-2025
Sana'a – SABA:
The Women's Committee in the Al-Hosn District of Sana'a Governorate organized an event to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) on the occasion of Ashura.
Speakers at the event emphasized that commemorating Ashura is a firm stance and a testimony of love, loyalty, and belonging to the divine path followed by the prophets and the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
They affirmed that the tragedy of Karbala and the cause of Palestine are one and the same—that the oppressor remains the same regardless of changing names and slogans, and that siding with the truth is a perpetual duty that never fades.
The speeches renewed loyalty to Allah, His Messenger, and the Prophet's family and the leaders of guidance, emphasizing steadfastness on the path of divine guidance and standing with the oppressed, especially the persecuted Palestinian people.
The event featured expressive theatrical and choral performances.
Following the event, the women of Al-Hosn held a solidarity stand in support of the people of Gaza, denouncing the ongoing genocide, displacement, blockade, and starvation they are subjected to.

Al-Qassam Brigades Target Zionist Enemy Command Centers in Gaza and Rafah

Gaza - Saba: The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced on Monday that they had targeted two command-and-control centers belonging to the Zionist enemy forces—one east of Gaza City and the other south of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. In two separate statements received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Al-Qassam stated: 1. They shelled an enemy command post on Al-Sawrani Hill east of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City with mortar rounds. 2. They struck another enemy command center along the Salah al-Din Axis near Za'rab Hill south of Rafah using short-range "Rajoom" missile systems (114mm caliber). These operations come as part of the Palestinian resistance factions' response to the genocidal crimes committed by the Zionist enemy—with American backing—against the people of Gaza since October 7, 2023, including mass killings, starvation campaigns, systematic destruction, and forced displacement. The attacks continue despite international appeals and International Court of Justice (ICJ) orders demanding an immediate halt. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Turkish presidency strongly condemns Israeli assassination of reporters

Ankara - Saba: The Turkish presidency "strongly" condemned the Israeli entity's assassination of two Palestinian journalists in the Gaza Strip on Monday, indicating that the entity aims to cover up its genocide. According to Anadolu Agency, Burhaneddin Duran, head of the Turkish presidency's communications department, expressed his deep sorrow via the X platform on Monday over Israel's killing of five journalists, including Al-Jazeera correspondents Anas al-Sharif and Mohammed Qreiqea, in an airstrike targeting a journalists' tent near Al-Shifa Hospital west of Gaza City. Duran said, "I pray to God to have mercy on our journalist brothers who were martyred while performing their duty, and I offer my deepest condolences to their families." He continued, "Israel targets journalists to obscure the view of its mass massacres, which it commits without discrimination between infants, children, women, the elderly, and the sick. It seeks to destroy humanity and the truth." He added, "I strongly condemn Israel's systematic targeting of journalists, which constitutes a war crime that violates international law. I also strongly condemn Israel's lawless brutality and its attempts to conceal the truth." He added, "I remember with compassion the 237 journalists killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023. Israel will not be able to conceal this genocide and will be held accountable before the law." On Sunday evening, Al-Jazeera correspondents Anas al-Sharif and Mohammed Qreiqea, along with three other members of the channel's crew, were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a journalists' tent near Al-Shifa Hospital. With the martyrdom of al-Sharif and his colleagues, the number of journalists killed in the Gaza Strip has risen to 237 since the beginning of the genocide perpetrated by the Israeli entity on October 7, 2023, according to the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip.
