Urgo, suspended 4 games in regular season, fired after reeling Fordham finished last in Atlantic 10
Athletic director Charlie Guthrie announced a national search for a successor to Urgo, who was promoted from assistant coach after Kyle Neptune left for Villanova in 2022.
The Rams went 25-8 and tied for second in the Atlantic 10 in Urgo's first season, and he was named conference coach of the year. Fordham slipped to 13-20 last season, and the Rams lost nine of their last 10 games this season to finish 12-21.
The school announced Jan. 16 it was self-imposing a four-game suspension of Urgo as part of its investigation with the NCAA. The Rams went 2-2 with associate head coach Tray Woodall leading the team.

HOUSTON (AP) — A judge on Thursday granted a request by federal prosecutors to dismiss two of the 14 counts against U.S. Rep. Prosecutors said they were dismissing the two counts following a February memorandum from U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi that shifted the focus of charges filed under the Foreign Agents Registration Act. The law is aimed at ensuring transparency about lobbying efforts done in the U.S. at the direction of foreign governments or principals. Bondi's memorandum said that such charges 'shall be limited to instances of alleged conduct similar to more traditional espionage by foreign government actors.' During a Zoom court hearing, Rosenthal said she was set to file an order granting the prosecution's motion to dismiss the two counts. Cuellar and his wife each still face 12 charges, including conspiracy, bribery and money laundering. Rosenthal also granted a request from both prosecutors and attorneys for the Cuellars to reschedule their trial in Houston. The couple's trial had been set to begin Sept. 22. 'That's crazy': Rams stars react to new Rivalries uniform after getting sneak peek
Kyren Williams: 'Y'all going to like that one. I promise you that.' The Los Angeles Rams will unveil a completely new uniform as part of the 'Rivalries' series on Aug. 28, which they will then wear once a season for the next three years against one of their NFC West rivals. This season, they will rock the new look against the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 16 at home. Fans are anxious to see which direction Nike and the Rams are going with this new series, whether it's a black and yellow uniform set or a navy and yellow combination under the bright lights of SoFi Stadium. The Rams gave their players a sneak peek at the new uniforms recently and they were blown away. Kobie Turner called them 'hard' and said 'that's crazy' upon seeing the jersey for the first time, as did defensive back Quentin Lake. Kyren Williams promises fans are going to like them and Tyler Higbee seemed to love the new look, too. 'This is amazing,' Steve Avila said. Matthew Stafford even made an appearance, casually saying, "these are sweet" as he walked by. There were no hints given as to what the uniforms look like, but the Rams continue to tease a dark color that borders on black and navy. Further investigation shows the logo the Rams have teased is actually navy, but there's no confirmation as to whether the uniforms are black or navy – or something entirely different. Only two more weeks until the full reveal.
