Eamonn Holmes asked fans to 'think of him' as he shares heartbreaking health update online - just one week after falling off his chair live on air for GB News.
Eamonn Holmes asked fans to 'think of him' after sharing a heartbreaking health update on social media. The Northern Irish broadcaster recently fell off his chair while presenting the GB News Breakfast show with his co-host Ellie Costello.
A loud crash was heard as the cameras focused on their guest, commentator Charlie Rowley, while Ellie could be heard saying "oh my gosh" off screen. The 65-year-old pleaded with Charlie to "carry on" as he went off air for a quick break before shortly returning.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter has been working on his rehabilitation after having a spinal surgery back in 2022, for chronic back pain caused by three slipped discs, the Mirror reports.

Over the past year, Eamonn has been seen to use a walking stick and a wheelchair as his mobility has become affected. One week after the incident on GB News, the star shared a nostalgic post on Instagram, reflecting on his healthier days.
He shared a photograph of himself wearing a white shirt, black trousers, matching tie and a black overcoat as he stood with his hands in his pockets ready to present the news.

The star captioned the photo, writing: "This pic tells me this was 3 years ago in my Home City of Belfast. I was making a big extravaganza featuring The Ulster Orchestra and Film and TV music associated with famous producers.
"It actually made me very sad looking at it because I could walk then and can't now. I pray to God and the new Docs that I am seeing that all will change and change soon . Keep you posted and please think of me."

Fans and friends were quick to take to the comment section, sending the star their best wishes. One user wrote: "Hang in there. Am sure it's incredibly hard and dispiriting; but here's hoping that better days are to come."
Another stated: "This was my very first TV gig and it was such a special privilege to work with you Eamonn, you gave me amazing support and solid advice at working in the industry. Wishing you all the very best in your healing and thank you for being an inspiration."
"I hope they can help you Eamonn. I'm recovering from spinal surgery. It's a long haul to recover but worth it. Sending positive thoughts for a good outcome for you," a third said.

After he fell off his chair on air, Eamonn joked about the 'wonky wheels' at the studio. Following a quick ad break, he said: "Welcome back. Good to see you again. Especially good for me to see you again. I am still alive, yes.
"And they're very wonky wheels on chairs that we've got here, and matter of fact, we don't really like the chairs full stop, do we? They're a bit slippy and slidey and I've slipped and slid off mine there." 'Not the first guest to have done so, we've had a few, they have to remain nameless because they're well known people, but they've hit the floor really badly, quite frightening." 'And it was a bit of a shock for me because I've had a fall in my bathroom two weeks ago, which hospitalised me, and that hit me again right in the back. (I'm) really, really sore. Really sore," he concluded.

It came as she posted a video of her outdoor swimming pool being created in the grounds of her stunning Essex home. Billy, 42, and her eldest daughter Polly, eight, could be seen carefully clambering down the concrete levels as they explored the space, which is yet to be filled with water. In her caption, the ITVBe star wrote: "Moments like this is everything. "We are counting down the days. Thank you for making our dream turn into a reality." Yet some were more concerned about the apparent depth of the pool - and this posing a threat for her offspring. One took to the comments to bluntly write: "No need be so deep with 3 kids." A second put: "Please get security around it like a gated area etc x" 'Gutted' Amy Childs 'cancels wedding to Billy Delbosq' after fan backlash over extreme weight loss A third quizzed: "That pool looks so deep? It's taller then Billy, why so deep? Will be lovely for you all in summer months, asl ong as you are happy, is what matters." Another then wrote: "I wouldn't have a pool with young kids." Yet others were quick to share in her happiness, and one wrote: "Living the absolute dream." A second posted: "Going to be amazing Amy." Who is Amy Childs? She is said to have been left "gutted" at the recent turn of events. Sources told Closer Magazine: "Amy has had to cancel her wedding and she's absolutely gutted. "There was going to be a show around it, following the run-up to their big day, but they've had to make some last-minute changes based on what's going on in their lives." The news came just weeks after The Sun previously reported how her "perfect" wedding plans were under threat. Amy shares two of her four children with Billy, who she first met in 2000. She referred to him as her "Prince Charming" after they set eyes on each other during lockdown. In 2023, the pair welcomed twins, Amelia and Billy, into the world after a "long and exhausting" labour - yet their marriage plans have taken a back seat. In a bid to put rumours of "fat jabs" to bed, Amy has finally opened up about her extreme weight loss, which has seen her shed two stone. Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: "People don't know what is going on behind closed doors. 'I'm going through so much at the minute that the weight has fallen off me. I worry about my mum constantly. 'She's very emotional – she thinks she's going to have another heart attack. 'People think I'm not eating, but I do eat. To be honest, I do feel better when I'm a bit heavier than I am at the moment. 'There's so much going on at the minute – it's the result of pure stress." Addressing fans who had speculated she had used medication to shed the pounds she said: 'I just want to be clear that, as I've said before, I'm not using weight-loss injections." 6 Amy also clappe back at body shamers this weekend as she revealed the real reason for her weight loss Credit: TikTok 6 The 34-year-old denied using weight loss jabs Credit: Instagram
