Yahoo08-05-2025

After a night of strutting past camera flashes, red-carpet interviews and celebrities mingling inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the 2025 Met Gala has come to a close. But who had your favorite look of the night?
As it does every year, this first Monday in May offered up a plethora of looks to admire. Co-chaired by A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton and Colman Domingo, the 2025 gala asked its guests to dress to impress in line with the theme 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style' — which celebrated 'the role of sartorial style in forming Black identities, focusing on the emergence, significance and proliferation of the Black dandy,' according to Vogue — and the stars who showed up did not disappoint. Modeling an array of bold suits, gender-bending gowns and sculpted accessories, everyone from Rihanna to Teyana Taylor, Zendaya, JENNIE of BLACKPINK, Bad Bunny, Doechii and more had show-stopping moments on the blue carpet this year, spotlighting multiple different designers from all parts of the world.

Woman Kicked out of Courtroom for What She Yelled at Sean 'Diddy' Combs

Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal trial took an unexpected turn on June 3 when the proceedings were disrupted. A female heckler yelled out his nickname in the Manhattan courtroom, along with "several profanities," according to People. "These motherf—ers are laughing at you," she screamed and then added, "You're laughing at a Black man's legacy" and "Pull your gun out, ninja, I dare you." Judge Arun Subramanian had her removed from the courtroom while Combs reportedly did not react to the disruption. The disturbance came on a crucial day of testimony from Eddy Garcia, a security guard at InterContinental Hotel in Century City, CA where Combs was spotted by surveillance cameras beating former girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016. The CCTV video was leaked by CNN in 2024. Garcia said on the stand that the music producer asked him for the footage because it would otherwise "ruin him," per The Independent. Garcia testified that his boss offered it to Combs for $50,000. Per Garcia, the video was delivered to the performer in exchange for $100,00 via a paper bag. Garcia's boss reportedly had "to sign an NDA with a $1 million penalty." Combs is facing two charges of sex trafficking, two charges of transportation to engage in prostitution, and a racketeering conspiracy charge after federal investigators accused him of "kidnapping, drugging, and coercing women into sexual activities, sometimes using firearms or threats of violence" between 2004 and 2024, per the BBC. His trial, which began on May 12, is expected to last eight to 10 weeks. He faces life in prison for the racketeering charge alone. Combs has continued to maintain his innocence to the charges, but he apologized for his behavior after the Ventura clip surfaced. "I take full responsibility for my actions in that video," Combs said in a now-deleted Instagram statement in May 2024. "I was disgusted then when I did it. I'm disgusted now."Woman Kicked out of Courtroom for What She Yelled at Sean 'Diddy' Combs first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 3, 2025

The "Espresso" singer's new look, which consists of a white button-up, baby blue heels and denim cutoffs, continues to turn heads on social media. 'Micro' shorts are back, thanks to Sabrina Carpenter While Carpenter did not start the trend, she certainly revived it with her most recent social media post (And her fans are eating it up). Free People, on the other hand, did not see the same success when they promoted their own version of the "micro" denim shorts on social media in March 2024, about five months before Carpenter's "Short n' Sweet" album was released. Customers of the high-end retailer weighed in on the length of the shorts in the social media post's comments, joking about how the length of the shorts would not work for the average adult woman. "Everybody relax with these rude, aggressive comments. I bought them for my hamster and she loves them!' one user wrote. Those who chimed in bonded over their mutual dislike of the shorts. The response to Carpenter's outfit was completely different, with brands, fans and even haters showering her with compliments. "My brake pads would've popped off by how fast i would have stopped my car," one user wrote in the comments of her recent social media post. Sabrina Carpenter sparks frenzy with cheeky outfit, new music Carpenter, who has a penchant for all things glitter and lace, has been rocking babydoll negligees, blazer dresses without pants, corsets with garters, nightgowns, ballgowns, mini-skirts and of course hotpants even before the release of her sixth studio album "Short n' Sweet." "Femininity is something that I've always embraced," Carpenter told TIME in an October 2024 interview. "And if right now that means corsets and garter belts and fuzzy robes or whatever the (expletive), then that's what that means." The Grammy-award winning singer is leaning into that for her new single as well, donning casual garments, such as a pair of denim shorts and a long button-up shirt like a true girly girl would. While there has been some commotion, or a frenzy if you will, about the outfit, fans have also taken to social media to express their support and excitement for Carpenter's new song: everyone sending me the video of sabrina carpenter hitchhiking in short shorts.. to be loved is to be seen — annie (@sweetndpolite) June 3, 2025 why cant you guys announce singles like sabrina carpenter in booty shorts — gab ⊬ (@FAIRLYSCALED) June 3, 2025 where does one acquire the sabrina carpenter jean shorts she's wearing i need them bruhhh😭or similar fit — tulip 🪷🦚🦢 (@tulipb4by) June 3, 2025 fumbling sabrina carpenter and subsequently becoming the subject of a song she titled 'manchild' is a generational L bro you gotta go into hiding at this point 😭😭😭 — zoë rose bryant (@zoerosebryant) June 3, 2025 sabrina carpenter hating men is kinda the best thing to ever happen to pop music — ashley 💋 (@betubrina) June 3, 2025
