Top Boy star reveals shock split from co-star and tells fans she is now celibate - after fans trolled them over their romance
Top Boy star Jasmine Jobson has confirmed that she's split from her co-star Kadeem Ramsay.
The actress, 30, best known for playing Jaq in the hit Netflix series, went public with Kadeem, 37, in October 2023.
Kadeem, who portrayed Kit on the gritty drama, first appeared in the second series in 2013 and exited the show in 2022.
In a video shared to her social media, Jasmine addressed questions about her relationship status, revealing she's 'in a committed relationship with life'.
When asked by fans if she was still in a relationship, she said: 'No, I'm not but I'm also not single, thank you very much.
'I am taken by life. And I am celibate - not single, not taken, just in a committed relationship with life.'
She added: 'The next time I see somebody is gonna be the man that I marry.'
The couple went Instagram official with their romance in October 2023 with a sweet snap.
The pair were stood in a field in the photo as they leaned in for a smooch, with the actress captioning the snap: 'You can't sit with us'.
The couple's romance had not been well received by some fans of the show however as Jasmine has shared an Instagram Story encouraging people to 'Be kind'.
Jasmine's character Jaq is a lesbian and it appears some fans believed her to be gay in real life too as she emphasised she is an actress playing a role.
She wrote: 'I'm an ACTRESS. My job is to play dress-up & pretend. I take a script and make it palatable for your eyes to watch.
'I am also a HUMAN BEING, LIKE ALL OF YOU, just living my life. Be kind'.
Jasmine and Kadeem were first reported to be dating earlier in the month when she teased their trip to Ibiza together on social media.
A source told The Sun: 'Jasmine and Kadeem have been quietly dating for some time and are often seen out and about together.
'Since the series ended they have become more relaxed and Jasmine has started giving glimpses of her love life on social media.'
In an interview with Digital Spy, Jasmine spoke about the importance of playing an out black lesbian on the show.
She said: 'It's still a taboo. And I think it's very important that we see it, because it happens. I've got lots and lots of friends that are gay or lesbian.
'So [I asked] them what have they experienced [and] how they dealt with it, so I would kind of know how I was going to portray that scene.'
On the show, Jasmine's character Jaq is in a relationship with Becky who is played by Adwoa Aboah.
She has received critical acclaim for her performance and has been twice nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the BAFTAs.

Katie then did an outfit change and slipped into a white mini dress with match trainers and a glittery hat. Nick clearly liked what he saw, removing his jacket and spinning it around over his head. And despite having to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing due to injury last year, Nick proved he's still got the moves as he spun his wife around the floor. Later the pair let their hair down further by downing shots with their pals. There was also lots of entertainment for guests, with a carnival dancer taking to the stage at one point. Later, a band performed songs for the merry crowd. Nick and Katie spared no expense on the big day, which is rumoured to have cost six figures. 8 8 8 8

Michael Owen reveals he didn't know what Ballon d'Or was when he won it and had to ask manager about it
MICHAEL OWEN has admitted he had no idea what the Ballon d'Or was - even after winning it. The former Liverpool striker won the prestigious gong in 2001, beating Real Madrid icon Raul into second place. 2 2 Owen played 297 times for the Reds over an eight-year stint, scoring 158 goals. He later moved to Real Madrid and Manchester United, as well as earning 89 caps for England. The 45-year-old's electric pace and lethal finishing made him one of the world's most feared strikers. Owen bagged 24 goals in 46 Premier League games in 2001, catching the eye of the Ballon d'Or panel. The award is handed out annually to Europe's best player. But after beating greats including David Beckham, Luis Figo and Thierry Henry to the award, Owen had absolutely no clue what it was. Owen told talkSPORT: "When Gerard Houllier phoned me and said 'You've won the Ballon d'Or', I'm like 'What's that gaffer'? "I didn't know what the award was. I never did because I never even knew what it was. "Back in those days it was never in our press." Owen was just the fourth English player to win the Ballon d'Or, following Stanley Matthews, Bobby Charlton and Kevin Keegan. But it wasn't until he became a Galactico with Madrid in 2004 that he truly understood its significance. Owen continued: "When I played for Real Madrid, it's like an MBE, it follows you. "Whenever they mention your name it's Ballon d'Or winner. "Abroad it is so big and it's only just cottoned on here for the last five or ten years. "It's so much bigger in other countries, in foreign countries. "It quickly sunk in how big it was."
