I Kissed A Boy's Female Counterpart Gets A New Series On BBC Three
Exciting news for fans of BBC Three's queer-centric sun-drenched dating formats: I Kissed A Girl will be back on our screens.
With just one week left on the current second season of I Kissed A Boy, it was announced on Monday afternoon that its female-led counterpart will be getting its own follow-up in 2026.
Once again, Dannii Minogue will be playing Cupid for the fourth time, with internet personality and comedian Charley Marlowe returning to narrate everything that plays out in the masseria in her own inimitable style (taking over from Layton Williams, who fulfills this role on I Kissed A Boy).
The I Begin To Wonder singer enthused: 'I Kissed a Girl was full of heart and groundbreaking for female representation on TV. The fans loved the fun, the passion and the drama.
'I can't wait for the return of the girls – let's see what the heat of the Italian sun does for kisses and connections. It is sure to get sparks flying.'
She added: 'I am ready to be cupid once again – get ready for the Masseria Mania!'
Charley also said: 'I am beyond excited for the return of I Kissed a Girl and I can't wait to get back in that voice booth and narrate the masseria magic.
'The girls are returning to Italy to find love! And mumma Minogue back as cupid... What's not to love?'
Before all that, though, there's the reunion special of I Kissed A Boy season two, in which the cast will offer updates on what's gone on between them since the final kiss-off, which aired over the weekend.
Since the format premiered in 2023, both I Kissed A Boy and I Kissed A Girl have been praised for their queer-inclusive approach to dating shows, particularly in comparison to the likes of other shows like Love Island or Netflix's Love Is Blind and Too Hot To Handle.
The most recent season of I Kissed A Boy received praise after airing a conversation in which one contestant opened up about his HIV status to the rest of the group, in addition to the inclusion of the franchise's first transgender participant.

Academy Museum Brings ‘Wonders of Technicolor' Series to New York with ‘Willy Wonka,' ‘The Red Shoes,' ‘Cabaret,' and More
Since Netflix bought and restored The Paris Theater, one of New York City's last remaining single-screen movie theaters, the streaming service has used the historical venue to give a big-screen showcase to its original films. The streamer has also used The Paris to host increasingly robust retrospectives, and today IndieWire exclusively announces that Netflix has partnered with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to bring 'The Wonders of Technicolor' series to New York this summer. The retrospective series originally played this fall at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles to accompany the museum's 'Color in Motion: Chromatic Explorations of Cinema' exhibition. The three-strip color technology produced saturated and vibrant colors, often described as 'crisp' due to how the three-strip color negative and printing process kept the colors distinct from one another, avoiding the 'bleeding' that became common after the process faded from the industry. Hollywood used the enormous Technicolor cameras — which required special color consultants to advise on cinematography, costumes, and sets — for its biggest productions, especially musicals, up until the mid-1950s, when the old Studio System started to crumble. The shot in 'Glorious Technicolor' branding on posters and in the opening titles signaled to the audience that they were in for a special big-screen experience. The series at The Paris will kick off the weekend of June 28-29 with 'An American in Paris' and 'The Wizard of Oz,' and run through August 6. Other classic Technicolor films screening as part of the series are 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,' 'Fantasia,' 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,' 'The Red Shoes,' 'The Black Pirate,' and 'The Women.' Also included in the series are Alfred Hitchcock's 'Vertigo' and Bob Fosse's 'Caberet,' which were shot after Technicolor's heyday on Eastman color film stock, but then printed on Technicolor stock, a combination resulting in a more modern and less studio-stage look for the color technology as it faded from existence.
