Monos Taps Academy Award-Winning Actor Adrien Brody as Face of New Campaign for First Aluminum Travel Collection

Monos, the North American-based travel and lifestyle brand, renowned for its sleek design and commitment to sustainability, has launched its first ever Aluminum Collection. Tailored for the globetrotter who demands both durability and elegance, the new aluminum hard shell luggage assortment offers a perfect balance of style, practicality, and prestige for the refined traveler. To celebrate the launch of the Aluminum Collection, Monos embarked to the vibrant city of Tangier, Morocco to capture its first celebrity campaign starring Academy award-winning actor Adrien Brody.
In the campaign, Brody roams the Moroccan landscape with Monos' Aluminum Collection by his side; his voyage unfolding like kismet—the unseen thread that weaves us into life's mysterious design. Captured by Mexico City-based filmmaker and photographer Alexis Gomez, the narrative explores themes of solitude and connection, revealing how the unknown unfolds when we surrender to the journey itself. Monos travels with Brody through the city, accompanying him as he meets villagers, absorbs the city's sounds, and explores its historical sights. The journey unfolds with quiet discoveries, unexpected kindness, and subtle exchanges—each chance encounter feeling predestined.
'Growing up in New York - a city full of diversity and unexpected encounters - ignited a thirst for adventure. I often find myself on location in different places while working on films, which is exciting; I love to explore, to travel, to get lost and find my way,' shared Adrien Brody with Monos on set in Morocco. 'Traveling reminds me that borders are irrelevant, no matter how different cultures or people may seem, we're all just people living our unique stories' continued Brody.
Monos believes in partnering with individuals who embody their values of authenticity and timeless style. 'Adrien perfectly reflects these qualities—his unique perspective and undeniable charm make him the ideal ambassador for our brand,' states Victor Tam, co-founder of Monos. Tam continues, 'His influence and deep connection with his audience will not only elevate the collection but also deepen the Monos experience, creating a lasting impact on our community.'
The Aluminum Collection celebrates Monos' unwavering commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each piece is crafted from premium aluminum, available in four styles including Carry-on Plus ($665), Check-In Medium ($725), Check-in Large ($755), and a Trunk ($775), all featured in three elevated colorways: Caviar Black, Champagne Gold, and Aspen Silver. Durable and resilient, each luggage piece is reinforced with riveted aluminum corner guards, TSA-accepted combination latch locks, a telescopic trolley handle, soft release side handle, ergonomic bottom grab handle, and whisper-quiet 360-degree spinning wheels. The interior features a new quilted taffeta lining in solid black, embossed with the brand's iconic dot pattern, and a compression layer to keep everything secure and in its place. The anodized aluminum shell boasts a brushed finish, further enhancing its sleek, sophisticated look.
'Our Aluminum Collection is our most premium offering to date and features thoughtful details, from the soft-release side handle to the etched detailing on the hinges and latches, because it's the small things that elevate the entire travel experience.' describes Hubert Chan, co-founder of Monos. Inherent to aluminum is its ability to develop a distinctive patina over time, adding character and making each piece uniquely yours. 'Travel leaves its mark on us, and there's something beautiful and romantic about carrying traces of your journey on your suitcase—each mark tells a part of your personal story,' adds Chan.
Since its inception in 2018, Monos has achieved an impressive 300% year-over-year (YOY) growth on average from 2019 to 2024, with sales surpassing $100 million in 2023. Beginning in 2025, Monos is on track to expand its global footprint, aiming to meet its consumers with 40 retail locations worldwide by 2030. Recently awarded B Corp certification, Monos' core values reinforce the idea that thoughtful design can—and should—be aligned with positive social and environmental impact. As part of the brand's cruelty-free commitment, Monos sources the highest quality vegan alternatives wherever animal-derived materials are traditionally used, like in the construction of bags, luggage tags, and the detailing in suitcases. Every Monos piece is crafted with care and consideration for both people and the planet.
The new Aluminum Collection will be available beginning March 17th, 2025, exclusively on monos.com and at Monos' Canadian retail locations in Toronto and Vancouver. The campaign, featuring Adrien Body, will run globally across the brand's various social channels, as well as international OOH and digital marketing.

DFW Airport gears up for 2026 World Cup travel rush

The Brief DFW Airport is preparing for the 2026 World Cup with new efficiency software and reduced wait times. American Airlines, a FIFA sponsor, plans its largest-ever schedule to transport fans to host cities. Travel experts advise booking flights and hotels soon, as availability is decreasing and cancellation policies may be stricter. Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is typically busy during the summer travel season, so you can imagine how congested it will be during the World Cup. The airport and its major airlines are already planning for the event. What they're saying DFW airport CEO, Chris McLaughlin, is doing all he can to prepare for what is to come next summer. "All eyes will be on this region for the World Cup, and we're doing all we can to make sure we're prepared for it." DFW Airport's new efficiencies include the rollout of new Enhanced Passenger Processing software at passport control in Terminal D. It allows U.S. citizens to get through the checkpoint quicker. Wait times at DFW airport have now decreased by 25%. Fort Worth-based American Airlines is the official sponsor airline for FIFA. American Airlines Senior Vice President, Jim Moses, says they're ready to transport soccer fans to DFW and other host cities come this time next year. "This summer alone we're operating our largest schedule in our history, through DFW Airport, and that only looks to increase," said Moses. Dig deeper Travel expert Gabe Saglie can't contain his own excitement for the 2026 World Cup. "I might see you out there. I was looking at hotels, and I'm like none of these hotels in the downtown Dallas area have availability," said Saglie. Like many soccer fans, Saglie is already planning out his itinerary and suggests other FIFA fans do the same, sooner rather than later. "We're getting to a period where some of those flights will become available. I think a lot of hotels are currently blocking some of the rooms out. So, if you try to get a hotel room for that mid-June to mid-July period, you'll see that a lot of these dates aren't available. And I think hotels are holding out at this point." When it comes to booking flights or hotels for the World Cup this far out, Saglie recommends setting price alerts with your preferred travel website so you can compare prices and deals. The same advice applies to non-soccer fans who may find themselves in North Texas next June. "Most of the availability is around these vacation rentals. Rates are between $700 to $1,000 a night," said Saglie. "I mean they could drop. I wouldn't necessarily nail anything down. The other thing to keep in mind is for folks who are booking hotels, who are looking for vacation rentals. To be very cognizant of some of the restrictions that exist around rooms for dates around these major events." Why you should care To that point, Saglie says cancellation polices may be more restrictive during that time because of demand for lodging during the World Cup. So Saglie recommends you look into travel insurance as an option, in case your travel plans get derailed. Could 76-seat, two-class American Airlines jets soon be based at Harrisburg Int'l Airport?

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — It still has fewer flights and higher fares than larger airports, but that has been changing at Harrisburg International Airport, which also has something few other airports its size have: an airline's maintenance and crew base. Since 2022, Piedmont Airlines, which flies the 50-seat ERJ-145s commonly seen at the airport ('ERJ' stands for 'Embraer regional jet'), has based dozens of pilots and flight attendants at the airport, complementing a maintenance base that opened years earlier. Piedmont — which is headquartered in Salisbury, Maryland, and is a subsidiary of American Airlines — also has a Harrisburg-based human resources team. The Harrisburg presence means a lot of direct jobs and — although this part is harder to quantify — indirectly perhaps some flights that might not otherwise exist, because American has to route planes through Harrisburg for maintenance and to get its people to and from work. For perspective, Delta operates three daily flights to its Atlanta hub, which is the world's busiest airport, according to an abc27 analysis of Cirium schedule data; American operates seven daily flights to Charlotte. (Delta, operating larger aircraft, offers about half as many seats to Atlanta as American offers to Charlotte despite having fewer than half as many flights.) But there was an important potential problem for Piedmont's future — and thus for the future of its base in Harrisburg: Manufacturers haven't produced 50-seat jets in years, and airlines have been phasing them out in favor of larger regional jets, which passengers generally find to be more comfortable and airlines generally find to be more economical to operate. Piedmont currently operates 69 ERJ-145s, which are on average almost 22 years old, according to an abc27 analysis of Cirium airline fleet data. That meant one of two things: Sooner or later, either the airline would have to either phase in new planes — or phase itself out of existence, as other regional airlines have done (most recently Silver Airways just Wednesday, which once flew small planes branded 'Continental Express' for United's predecessor Continental Airlines). Fortunately for Piedmont — and by extenstion, for Harrisburg — the far better outcome is emerging: Piedmont announced it'll get 76-seat Embraer 175s, known as E175s, beginning in 2028. Unlike the current all-economy 50-seat jets, Piedmont's E175s — like others already flown for American by other regional airlines — will have 12 business-class seats in addition to 64 economy seats. 'So seeing that they're getting an upgrade in aircraft that allows them to continue their mission of flying for American and being part of the Central Pennsylvania community is really good news,' Scott Miller, Harrisburg International Airport's spokesman, said. 'The expansion represents a significant investment by parent company American Airlines Group,' Piedmont said in a statement of the 45 eventual E175s it expects to receive. During the transition, the airline plans to continues operating its 50-seat jets 'well into the 2030s,' the statement said. 'They provide all of our service to Philadelphia, to Boston, as well as some to Charlotte,' Scott Miller said of Piedmont. 'So upgrading to larger aircraft — more comfortable aircraft — is a huge benefit for the airport, for the region and for those who fly American.' Piedmont has maintenance bases at those three airports plus Salisbury; Albany, New York; and in Virginia, Richmond and Roanoke. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Christian rock band respond to former member's drug abuse, sexual assault allegations

Nashville-based Christian rockers Newsboys are responding to troubling news regarding their 59-year-old former lead singer, Michael Tait. In a post on the group's official Instagram account, the Australian-founded band responded to allegations of drug abuse and inappropriate sexual conduct against Tait while also distancing him from the band. "Last night, our hearts were shattered when we read the news alleging drug abuse and inappropriate sexual actions by our former lead singer, Michael Tait. While Michael has not addressed these allegations, we are devastated even by the implications," the statement read. "First and foremost, our hearts are with the victims who have bravely shared their stories. If you are a victim, we urge you to come forward. We absolutely do not condone any form of sexual assault." The quartet noted that as husbands who are fathers of 14 children in total, they were "horrified, heartbroken, and angry at this report and in many ways, we feel as if we and our families have been deceived for the last fifteen years." In January 2025, Tait, who was the lead vocalist of the group for 15 years in their four decades of existence, offered the following in a statement: "Fifteen years ago, my life was forever changed when I received the invite to step into the role of lead singer for Newsboys. The years since have been some of the most fulfilling, faith-filled, and rewarding years of my life." "I have been on an amazing journey all over the globe, performing and ministering to people of all ages, races, and backgrounds." "The decision does not come lightly and has been a shock to even myself, but admist prayer and fasting, I have clarity that this is the right decision," the statement continued. In their June 5 statement, Tait's former bandmates, Duncan Phillips, Jeff Frankenstein, Jody Davis and Adam Agee, noted that when he left the band, he "confessed" to them and their management that he "had been living a double-life." Through a nearly three-year-long investigation by The Roys Report, it was discovered that for two decades, Tait befriended three young men on Christian music tours in 2004, 2010, and 2014. The trio were all 22 at the time of their first interaction. Allegations of Tait, then two decades older than his accusers, engaging in acts of sexual assault and grooming highlight the lengthy of June 5, Tait has not officially responded to the allegations on his social media accounts or the statement from his former bandmates. As well, there have been no further comments from the group. Upon their 2021 release of "Stand," their 20th studio album, the band spoke with The Nashville Tennessean, part of the USA TODAY Network. It's noted that when Grammy-winner Tait, formerly of DC Talk, replaced Peter Furler as the group's new lead vocalist in 2009, the band no longer had any original members in its ranks.
