Drake Debuts His Latest Superstar Collaboration At No. 1

Forbes11 hours ago
Drake is accustomed to reaching No. 1s on the Billboard charts, and his latest smash adds several more winners to his already-historic tally. The rapper has been one of the most successful names in American music for more than a decade, and he often launches new cuts directly in the top spot. That is true again this frame with 'Which One,' his new collaboration with U.K. star Central Cee. While it misses one major throne by a single spot, it still opens as a champion on multiple lists.
Three New No. 1s for 'Which One'
'Which One' starts at No. 1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs, Rap Streaming Songs, and Rap Digital Song Sales charts this week. The track is a major smash on streaming platforms – which is a common occurrence for the Canadian hip-hop talent – and even a bestseller, though only when looking specifically at rap.
Drake's Career Totals Reach New Heights
As 'Which One' arrives, Drake has now collected 27 No. 1s on the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart, 22 on the Rap Streaming Songs list, and 25 on the Rap Digital Song Sales tally. On each roster, he has earned well over 120 top 10s — a feat no other rapper has matched.
'Which One' Opens High on Other Rankings
Beyond its trio of debuts at No. 1, 'Which One' enters inside the top 10 on several other Billboard tallies. The cut opens at No. 8 on the Streaming Songs chart, No. 3 on both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales lists, and in the runner-up spot on the Hot Rap Songs roster. On that last ranking, Drake is held at bay by Kendrick Lamar and SZA's 'Luther,' which extends its run as the longest leader in the chart's history.
Another Hot 100 Win for Drake
On the all-genre Hot 100, 'Which One' begins at No. 23, marking Drake's three-hundred-and-sixtieth career entry. That is significantly more than any other artist has managed, and he extends his lead over every other artist yet again. The collaboration also earns a quick start on the Rap Airplay chart, beginning its time at No. 25.
Following What Did I Miss?'
The new cut comes just a month after Drake's solo single 'What Did I Miss?,' which is dipping on most lists but still climbing to new highs on the Radio Songs, R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and Rap Airplay charts. Both tracks are expected to be featured on his upcoming album Iceman, which is rumored to be released later this year.
A Shift Back to Rap on 'Which One'
Earlier in 2025, Drake teamed with PartyNextDoor on a joint project heavy on R&B-leaning tracks titled Some Sexy Songs 4 U. 'Which One' brings him back to a more assertive rap style, pairing his own verses with Cee's in another team-up for the two.

Wooden animal sculptures installed at city park

A number of carved wooden animal sculptures have been installed at a park in Derby. The sculptures, which depict a hedgehog, duck, rabbit and owl were all positioned in various places within Chaddesden Park on Thursday. The artwork followed a fundraising appeal by Andrew and Dawn Bailey, the previous leaseholders of the park's cafe. Chaddesden East councillors Jerry Pearce and John Wright provided funds from the Neighbourhood Board funding so community group Oakwood Neighbours Sheds could securely install them into the ground. Andrew Frost, who uses the moniker Treeeart, said the sculptures were made from cypress and cedar wood and took him week to carve with a chainsaw. "It's good that there's more pieces in the park," he said. "They are meant to be tactile and playful so hopefully they will bring some fun and joy for the children." Andrew Cusick, chairman of Oakwood Neighbours Shed, said it was "fun to do something useful for the community". "The funding had been raised for the sculptures but they hadn't actually got anybody who could do the physical installation at the park itself," he said. "That's the kind of thing we like to do, so we got together as a group and basically dug a series of holes for the concrete pliths to be placed into, which the animals were placed on top of. "We're really delighted that we could help. We are really proud of what we've done." Councillors Pearce and Wright said they hoped the sculptures would "brighten up people's day" when they visit the park. Follow BBC Derby on Facebook, on X, or on Instagram. Pastel ghouls and Jack-o-Melons: How Halloween became a 'Summerween' celebration

What? Summerween. It's Halloween - the spooky decor, candy eating and horror movie watching - but in summer! Why? Because Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total… No quotes, please. Sorry, what we meant to say is, we have no definitive answers to that question. But it's likely because people are drawn to the cosy ambience, campy costumes, and gothic aesthetics of Halloween. Younger generations in particular are big fans of the holiday, with 54 per cent of 18-24 year old Brits viewing it positively, according to a YouGov survey. It's also worth mentioning that not everyone loves summer, instead seeking out the comforts traditionally associated with autumn. A study by Denmark's Recreational Fear Lab (yes, that's a thing) even found that watching horror movies can help ease anxiety - so maybe Summerween is a promising way to keep any summertime sadness at bay? Why summer? We know what you're thinking - the vibes are all wrong. This is a time for beaches and BBQs, not jack-o'-lanterns and jump scares! But the idea of Summerween actually originated over a decade ago, in the 2012 Disney TV series Gravity Falls. It's explained that the fictional locals loved Halloween so much, they decided to celebrate it twice a year - on 22 June. While there's still no real-world official date, many people online have decided to implement their own spooky celebrations throughout the summer, with over 180k uses of the hashtag #summerween on TikTok. Is it popular everywhere? The majority of Summerween videos on social media are from content creators based in the United States and United Kingdom, with the latter spending approximately £776 million (€892m) on spooky festivities last year, according to research by This makes sense, with Halloween very much an Anglo-American holiday - although its influence is still spreading. In Germany, 61 per cent of respondents to a 2024 survey agreed that Halloween has become more popular in their country. How would one (hypothetically) go about celebrating Summerween? Swap pumpkins for Jack-o-melons, mummify your hotdogs with pastry 'bandages', or drink cocktails from mugs that look like skulls! The main idea is to give everything summery a spooky-twist. Decorations also tend to take on a pastel-hued playfulness, with baby pink cobweb cushions, sparkly ghoulish throws, and candles moulded into skeletons on pool floats. Much of this aesthetic has been propagated by European retail chain TK Maxx - known for its distinctly weird homeware offerings. If Halloween blends into summer, what's next? Christmas in October?! We see what you're saying - and your fears are not entirely unfounded (TK Maxx sometimes stock their Christmas decorations from August). Commercial holidays like Halloween are, of course, driven by consumerism, which companies are capitalising on earlier and earlier each year, realising there's a market that's hungry for all things goth and girly. This comes at the cost of anything feeling truly seasonal and special; time an amorphous swell of existential chaos and ornamental witches wearing sunglasses. But while it might make your yearnings for order and ritual twitch, holidays also tend to inspire a child-like sense of joy, whimsy and creativity that can help enliven the long, reflective months of summer. To be fair, the heat already has us sweaty and sleepless... Exactly, might as well put Slumber Party Massacre on and scream for ice cream. Happy Summerween!

Thousands expected along Caribbean Carnival route

Nottingham's Caribbean Carnival is returning to the city's Victoria Embankment. The event, which has been running for almost 70 years in Nottingham, will take place on 17 August. Thousands of spectators are expected along the carnival parade, which starts at the Embankment and travels through the Meadows. A programme of entertainment will run from 13:00 to 20:00 BST at the ticketed Carnival Village, off Wilford Grove. The carnival first took place in the city in 1958, organised by people who had moved to Nottingham from St Kitts, the city council said. Events took place sporadically between then and the early 1990s, before it was cancelled in 1998 over health, safety and financing concerns. However, the community's outcry in response to the cancellation prompted a march in the city centre, establishing today's carnival in 1999, the authority added. More than 400 costumes are expected to be paraded along this year's route, starting at the Victoria Embankment, then through Wilford Grove, Felton Road and Green Street. The parade will then make its way back down to the Embankment via Bunbury Street, returning to the Carnival Village via Wilford Grove. Entertainment will include singer Etana and BBC 1Xtra DJ Seani B, as well as other performances. There will also be a number of food and drink stalls and fairground rides at the Carnival Village.
