Wyatt Sicks becomes the new
WWE
Tag Team Champion. Previously, the Street Profits held the Championship belt for 119 days. Tonight's match at SmackDown was their sixth defense. The team lost the belt to Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis of the Wyatt Sicks.
Erick Rowan
played a major role in changing the course of the match towards the end.
Erick Rowan aids Wyatt Sicks in ending Street Profits' Tag Team Championship reign
Erick Rowan played a major role in today's Tag Team Championship match. The Street Profits kicked off the match on a good note. Angelo Dawkins went head-on against Joe Gacy. The former pushed the latter to the corner of the ring. Initially, the Profits dominated the ring. However, Wyatt Sicks soon took over. Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis took their turns to land blows on the former champions.
Both teams landed significant strikes on each other.
The match shuffled in favor of both teams at regular intervals. Montez Ford showcased some brilliant moves with some high-flying landings from the heavens on Lumis.
This was the point where Erick Rowan played a major role in changing the course of the match. With the landing by Ford, the wrestler himself was hurt a bit. He was taking a moment to reach Lumis and end the game.
However, Ford was distracted as Rowan cleared him out of the ring. Even though Dawkins rushed at Rowan to clear him out of the way, it was too late. The distraction gave both Lumis and Gacy enough time to buckle up. Ford once again goes up top and tries to land a frog splash on Lumis.
But he misses. Gacy and Lumis took control and landed a powerbomb on Ford. The Wyatt Sicks brought home the Tag Team Championship belt.
Wyatt Sicks' win sends a message to the Tag Team Division
The change in the championship holders will have a significant impact across the entire tag team championship.
In a follow-up segment, a new team of Andrade and Fenix made their presence official. Their appearance in the backstage segment might be an indication of a future collision with the newly crowned champions.
Tonight's match saw all the members of the Sicks present. Erick Rowan's presence played a major role in securing the win. Uncle Howdy and Nikki Cross were also present outside the ring. They entered once Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis claimed the championship belt.

Former ESPN personality Jason Whitlock sides with Dave Portnoy in brutal critique of Hailee Steinfeld's Sinners
Jason Whitlock sides with Dave Portnoy in brutal critique of Hailee Steinfeld's Sinners (Image via Beau Society) One of Hailee Steinfeld 's biggest releases, the Ryan Coogler–directed horror hit Sinners, keeps pulling headlines for everything except its box-office clout. Despite crossing $350 million worldwide, the film drew fresh heat when Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy blasted it on social media, prompting Jason Whitlock to pile on with a curt, three-word takedown. Dave Portnoy's viral critique and Whitlock's blunt agreement spark fan arguments Dave Portnoy didn't mince words. 'I may be like 6 months late with this critique, but that was one of the most overhyped, overrated movies of all time. If you say that movie was great you have no movie credibility with me.' Within moments, former ESPN and Fox Sports personality Jason Whitlock co-signed the sentiment with a minimalist dunk: 'Fact check: true.' The exchange instantly split timelines. Supporters echoed Portnoy's view that Sinners leaned on style over substance; others argued the film's mood, performances, and world-building were precisely what made it resonate with audiences. The numbers and accolades, back that up: in June 2025, IndieWire ranked Sinners No. 65 on its 'The 100 Best Movies of the 2020s (So Far)' list, and Steinfeld took home Best Supporting Actress at the 2025 Astra Midseason Movie Awards. Box-office success versus cultural reception and why the discourse won't die Sinners is a classic case of a movie living two lives—one at the ticket window and another in the court of public opinion. Ryan Coogler's signature craft and star power (with Michael B. Jordan featuring) helped the film travel, but its grim tone and genre-bending choices clearly aren't for everyone. That friction, critical lists versus contrarian pundits, keeps the conversation hotter than most horror titles enjoy months after release. Also Read: 'Overhyped and overrated': Josh Allen's wife Hailee Steinfeld faces harsh criticism from Dave Portnoy Away from the noise, newlyweds Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld, married in May, were recently spotted shopping in California as Buffalo eyes a deep run. Allen sat out the Bills' preseason opener, a 34–25 loss to the New York Giants, and he's unlikely to log heavy preseason snaps with Super Bowl expectations looming. The real countdown is on for Sept. 7, when Buffalo opens against the Baltimore Ravens, while Sinners remains the conversation piece that won't stay in the dark. The two bonded over their dislike for the Cowboys while talking about NFL rivalries, kids, and life with NFL players. Ciara and Kylie Kelce bond over hating the Dallas Cowboys In the August 14, 2025, episode of Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, Kylie Kelce told Ciara, 'We can see eye to eye because we can collectively dislike the Cowboys together.' Ciara agreed, saying she was learning more about football territory and added that 'blue and white and silver team… we definitely got a good history there'- a clear dig at Dallas. The dislike runs deep in the NFC East, especially for the Giants and Eagles who have had long-standing rivalries against the Cowboys. Ciara said New York's sports culture has "a lot of energy", in contrast to her experiences in Seattle, where the rivalries were more straightforward, with just two teams, the Seahawks and 49ers, being enemies.
