Herbalife's podcast 'Live Your Best Life, Unscripted' with Shayamal Vallabhjee redefines what it means to be truly well
In the very first episode, host Ajay Khanna, Managing Director of Herbalife India, sits down with renowned sports scientist and high-performance coach Shayamal Vallabhjee to explore a more thoughtful and holistic approach to wellness.
Having worked with top-tier athletes and lived as a monk, Shayamal brings a blend of science and spirituality that few can match. The conversation dives into much more than physical fitness — it touches on mental resilience, emotional regulation, and the power of self-awareness in achieving peak performance.
'People chase physical gains, but true strength is found when your mind, body, and emotions are aligned,' Vallabhjee shares during the episode.
From managing overthinking to optimizing recovery, from gut health to personalized nutrition, this episode is a toolkit for anyone striving to feel and function better — not just athletes, but also busy professionals, parents, and everyday hustlers.
The discussion also explores the role of technology in training. Vallabhjee warns of getting overwhelmed by data, reminding listeners that without clarity, metrics can be more distracting than helpful. He also breaks down what he calls the four pillars of performance: physical conditioning, skill development, strategic thinking, and mental clarity — all equally important for sustainable success.
One of the most refreshing takeaways? His perspective on self-compassion. 'What separates high performers from the rest isn't how hard they push when things go right, but how kind they are to themselves when things don't.'
