Farah Khan Reveals If Her Cook Dilip Gets Extra Pay For YouTube Vlogs: 'Don't Worry About...'

Last Updated: Farah Khan reveals if her cook Dilip earns extra pay or royalties for YouTube vlogs during a fun visit to Shruti Haasan's home. Filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan's YouTube vlog has done more than serve recipes—it has turned her long-time cook, Dilip, into an unlikely social media sensation. The duo's easy banter and shared kitchen antics have won over fans since she began her cooking series in 2024. Now, in her latest vlog, filmed at actor Shruti Haasan's swanky Mumbai home, Farah tackled the question on everyone's mind: does Dilip get paid extra or receive royalties for his regular appearances? The video captures Farah and Dilip settling into Shruti's grand, industrial-themed home, where the host herself whipped up a comforting spread of sambar and dosa. Between bites, Shruti impressed her guests with an original piano composition and a soulful song. But the biggest surprise came when Farah revealed that Dilip had once recorded a track with Shankar Mahadevan—titled Meri Pagar Badhao ('Increase My Salary"). Shruti, clearly invested in Dilip's welfare, cut straight to the chase: 'Does Dilip get extra royalty or extra fees for YouTube videos?" Farah, keeping the specifics under wraps, smiled and responded, 'Yes, he gets a lot—more than everyone here put together." When Shruti reassured, 'We were just worried about Dilip," Farah shot back with her trademark wit: 'Don't be worried about him, be worried about me." Since its inception, Farah's vlog has evolved beyond a cooking show. From whipping up meals with Kajol to sharing the stove with Ananya Panday and Vijay Varma, each episode thrives on a mix of food, celebrity conversations, and the warm yet cheeky rapport between Farah and Dilip. Fans often flood the comments with praise for Dilip's dry humour, down-to-earth charm, and candid comebacks, making him an integral part of the series' charm. Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan has her own blockbuster moment on the horizon. She is gearing up for the release of her high-octane action thriller Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film boasts a powerhouse ensemble—Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir—and will also feature Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in a special cameo. Set for an August 14 theatrical release, Coolie is poised for a massive box office clash with Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan's War 2. Whether it's Farah's sharp humour, Dilip's quiet star power, or Shruti's mix of hospitality and artistry, this episode proves that some of the most entertaining moments happen far from the movie set—and often, right in the kitchen.
