The potential move would see the Duffer Brothers reunite with former Netflix executives Cindy Holland and Matt Thunell, now heading streaming and TV studios at Paramount, respectively.
Paramount reportedly aims for the siblings to focus on developing tentpole movies, marking a significant coup for the company following its merger with Skydance.
Despite the potential move, the Duffer Brothers still have several unreleased titles with Netflix, including The Boroughs and Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, and are expected to confirm a Stranger Things spin-off.
The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is scheduled for release in three batches later this year, with episodes dropping on November 26, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve.

Netflix viewers have slammed a fresh documentary as "outrageous" after being left with their "jaw on the floor". A brand new docuseries dropped on Netflix on August 15 which has left social media abuzz. Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser, provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creation of the popular competition programme. The show aired for 18 series starting in 2004 and concluding in 2016, with a comeback effort launched in 2020. However, this three-part series showcases exclusive chats with the creators, producers, former participants and trainers such as Bob Harper who were part of producing the programme. Viewers are captivated as they describe the documentary as "outrageous" and have urged everyone to tune in immediately. Tracey Yukich, who featured in series eight, discussed her time on the documentary, describing it as transformative as reported by the Mirror. During one particularly gruelling challenge organised by the programme's producers, she claims she experienced a brush with death. Posting on TikTok, one viewer described the documentary as "outrageous" whilst adding: "Throughout the entire series my jaw was on the floor, I was in a red hot rage." And far from keeping it quiet, young women are now openly sharing their escort experiences. PA Laura Fox, 29, from Walsall, West Midlands, turned to escorts after her last relationship fizzled out. 'I've always been fascinated by escorts,' she says. 'When I was 19, I found out my friend's mum used to hire them to accompany her to events. 'Until that point, I'd assumed escorts were something men used — not women. 'But seeing how she carried herself changed my view.' Far from being sleazy or taboo, Laura suddenly saw escorts as 'the ultimate power move', with women in control.
