Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 30 (ANI): Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty penned a beautiful message for his co-star and friend Paresh Rawal on his 70th birthday amid the ongoing Hera Pheri 3 row.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Suniel Shetty described Paresh Rawal as a 'powerhouse of wit and wisdom' while extending a sweet birthday wish for the actor.
He wrote, 'To the man... Who is a powerhouse of both Wit & Wisdom and an even more wonderful human being. Happy happy birthday Pareshji. Much love and respect always.'
The actor shared a picture from their last appearance at the Mumbai International airport in November last year. They were joined by Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar.

The beautiful birthday wish by Suneil Shetty came amid the ongoing dispute between Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal after the latter actor's sudden departure from 'Hera Pheri 3' earlier this month.
Rawal's sudden exit from the popular franchise was also a big blow to actor Suniel Shetty, who played the calm and collected Shyam in the classic comedy.
Suniel, while speaking to ANI, expressed his 'shock' over Rawal's exit. He said he was left 'completely heartbroken' after hearing the news.
'I mean, it's an absolute shock to me, and I'm here because I heard it yesterday, and then today, some more news came about. So, I need to call and find out, and I'm completely heartbroken because if there was one film that I was looking forward to, it was Hera Pheri, you know,' Shetty said.
Suniel also made it clear that he feels a third instalment cannot happen without 'Babu Bhaiya.
''It cannot happen. 100 per cent cannot happen without Paresh Rawal. It can have a1 per cent chance without me and Akshay, but 100% can't happen without Paresh ji. No, it doesn't. Raju and Shyam, if they're not hammered by Babu here, it doesn't work,' he added.
Paresh Rawal played the role of Shyam in Hera Pheri, while Akshay Kumar donned Raju's character, and Paresh Rawal played Baburao's role in the movie. (ANI)

'I got chills': Billy Bob Thornton on returning to Friday Night Lights football field

Washington DC [US], June 4 (ANI): Actor and filmmaker Billy Bob Thornton opened up on how he felt returning to the football field featured in the 2004 film 'Friday Night Lights'. Speaking on a panel at the ATX TV Festival alongside his co-stars from the Paramount series 'Landman', Thornton shared how much of the show is filmed in the oil boomtowns of West Texas. "Last year we went to the Midland -- Odessa area," Thornton said. "So 'Friday Night Lights' was 20 years ago, and I had spent a lot of time on the field, and I walked out on the field and I got chills," reported People. Thornton played high school football coach Gary Gaines in the 2004 film 'Friday Night Lights', directed by Peter Berg and also starring Tim McGraw, Amber Heard and Connie Britton. On December 11, Peacock announced that an adaptation of the Emmy Award-winning football series was officially in development. In 'Landman', Thornton plays an oilman named Tommy Norris who is always looking out for his daughter Ainsley (played by Michelle Randolph), according to People. Although most of the film 'Landman' was shot in and around Fort Worth, Texas, Thornton said filming in Odessa, where he shot the 2004 film, was "a really great moment." "It's a real special area, it's a wonderful place to be because of the people out there," Thornton said, adding that the Landman cast and crew "hope to make people aware of Texas and what it really is and how good the people are down here," reported People. He added, "These days in the climate we are in, people hear you are working in Texas and people think you are going to get shot down there. I told my daughter, 'It's like being in LA but you just see more cowboy hats.' " Thornton noted that filming Landman in Texas is integral to the show's authenticity. "There is something you have to consider when you are doing a movie project," he said. "It's not always the land, the other thing is they don't consider the background actors. If you did it in Vancouver or Santa Fe, you would not get the look with the background actors, and that is very important that they carry themselves as Texans," reported People. (ANI)

Ticker tape parade and celebrations planned as RCB players head to Bengaluru with IPL trophy

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India] June 4 (ANI): After winning the maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), will take part in a victory parade from Vidhana Soudha to Chinnaswamy Stadium. All the RCB players will meet Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar inside Vidhana Soudha later this evening. Preparations have started in Bengaluru for the victory parade of RCB, after Bengaluru edged past Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final of IPL 2025 to lift their maiden IPL title after 18 years, on Tuesday. The RCB players will participate in a victory parade on the road in front of Vidhana Soudha, the heart of Bengaluru, and on the road near Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium. From 6 PM onwards, celebrations inside the Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium with fans will get underway. Virat Kohli and all RCB players are scheduled to reach Bengaluru later this afternoon. The wait for the title continues for PBKS, who reached their first final in 11 years under the exceptional leadership of Shreyas Iyer and head coach Ricky Ponting. However, after 18 overs, skipper Rajat Patidar has lifted the title for RCB, with their superstar batter Virat Kohli getting his first-ever IPL trophy after 18 years with the team. Coming to the match, PBKS won the toss and elected to bowl first. Arshdeep Singh (3/40) and Kyle Jamieson (3/48) applied timely breaks with the ball, while Yuzi Chahal (1/37) also prevented batters from attacking. While Virat (43 in 35 balls, with three fours) tried to keep the innings together, skipper Rajat Patidar (26 in 16 balls, with a four and two sixes), Jitesh Sharma (24 in 10 balls, with two fours and two sixes) and Liam Livingstone (25 in 15 balls, with two fours) upped the attack enough to help RCB post 190/9 in 20 overs. In the run-chase, PBKS started well with Priyansh Arya (24 in 19 balls, with four boundaries) and Prabhsimran (26 in 22 balls, with two sixes) stitching a 43-run stand. Josh Inglis (39 in 23 balls, with a four and four sixes) and Shashank Singh (61* in 30 balls, three wins and six sixes) tried their level best to keep up with the rising run rate, but Krunal Pandya (2/17), Yash Dayal (1/18) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/38) put a fine show with the ball to restrict PBKS to 184/7, despite a sensational 22 runs smashed by Shashank in the final over while needing 29. The title wait continues for PBKS, who reached their second final and their first in 11 years. (ANI)
