Ex-ESPN host Trey Wingo rips into NFL quarterback Jayden Daniels' mom: 'Needs a hobby'
Daniels' mother, Regina Jackson, is the passer's agent and business manager and is known to be protective of the former Heisman Trophy winner, as she previously indicated she didn't want her son to date.
And after she briefly joined NFL Network's interview of her son from training camp, Wingo had a strong message for Daniels' mother.
'She needs a hobby,' Wingo wrote on X.
Regina, who wore a t-shirt with her son's name on it, said she had not attended every day of training camp as Daniels described their relationship.
'She's always gon' be there to uplift me, but if I'm doing wrong, she gon' let me know,' he said. 'Even though I'm 24 years old, I'm still a grown man, but I still gotta listen to my mom at some point.'

Jackson became an NFL-certified agent last year and represents her son.
However, she previously ruffled feathers with her comments in the Prime Video documentary 'The Money Game,' when she discussed her fear of women 'hooking' her son.
'Some girl's got a Jayden Daniels wall, and her mom says, 'You'll get him.' Someone's trying to hook him, but thank god he's got a mama like me - because it ain't happening.'
She later walked back that stance on 'The Pivot' podcast.
'I'm putting it on record. My son can date, he can live freely, make his own decisions,' she said. 'However, with the relationship we have, he does value my opinion because when my kids were little, I did a lot for them and my kids saw that.'
Jackson, though, also added that her son 'doesn't know the business world.'
'He doesn't know the predators or the vultures that could be out there. So he feels very comfortable in knowing that not only am I educated and qualified to do it, I'm also his mom.'
Off the field, Jackson is often spotted with her son at public outings, as they attended the ESPYs together last year, and a Fanatics Super Bowl party together in February.
She was even seen next to him as he danced at Brandon Aiyuk's wedding in April.
Daniels had a stellar debut season last year as he won Offensive Rookie of the Year and led the Commanders to the NFC Championship Game.
His sophomore season will begin against the Giants on September 7.

Three-time Grand Slam winner Aryna Sabalenka drives fans wild as she poses topless ahead of US Open
ARYNA SABALENKA stunned fans as she posed topless in a new post to her Instagram. In the post, Sabalenka can be seen lounging in swimwear by the pool, winking at the camera and showing off her tan lines in the risque topless image. 6 6 6 The tennis star posted the pictures to her 3.3million followers captioned "A day spent in the sun." The post is just the latest in a string of revealing images shared to her account as she enjoys a rest between Grand Slam tournaments. The world No.1 women's tennis player is now sunning it up in Miami as the US Open approaches. Sabalenka will hope to add to her existing tally of three Grand Slam victories with a victory in New York later this month. The 27-year-old narrowly missed out on a shot at making it four at last month's Wimbledon tournament. She battled past British tennis hero Emma Raducanu in the third round, and looked good value to go all the way. 6 6 6 Her shock semi-final exit to Amanda Anisimova was the third time she had made it to the semis at the tournament, losing on all three occasions. Anisimova would be absolutely crushed in the final by Sabalenka's rival at the summit of the WTA rankings, Polish star Iga Świątek. Sabalenka has better form at the US Open, and is set to try and defend her title when the competition kicks off on August 24th. The Belarusian narrowly saw off American Jessica Pegula to win last year's edition of the tournament. If her demeanour on social media is anything to go by, Sabalenka is feeling relaxed ahead of her return to the court.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs loses bid to get out of jail prior to sentencing
NEW YORK, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Sean "Diddy" Combs on Monday lost his bid to be released from jail ahead of his October 3 sentencing, despite a jury having found the hip-hop mogul not guilty of the most serious charges at his sex crimes trial. Combs' lawyers had asked U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian on July 29 to release Combs on $50 million bond, saying conditions at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn were dangerous and other defendants convicted of prostitution-related charges similar to Combs' were usually released before sentencing. In a written ruling, the judge said Combs' arguments "might have traction in a case that didn't involve evidence of violence, coercion or subjugation in connection with the acts of prostitution at issue, but the record here contains evidence of all three." Subramanian said his decision did not foreshadow what sentence he might impose against Combs, who has been jailed at the MDC since his September 2024 arrest. Combs' lawyers did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Prosecutors with the Manhattan U.S. Attorney's office in an August 1 filing said staffing, medical services and conditions at the MDC had improved since Combs' arrest, and evidence of Combs' physical violence presented at trial showed he remained a danger to the community. Combs, 55, was found not guilty on July 2 of three counts of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, and convicted on two lesser charges of transportation to engage in prostitution. Prosecutors alleged Combs forced two former girlfriends to participate in days-long, drug-fueled sexual performances with male sex workers sometimes called "freak-offs." Defense lawyers said the women were willing participants. Each prostitution charge carries a maximum 10-year sentence, but prosecutors have acknowledged that federal sentencing guidelines appear to recommend a sentence of at most 5-1/4 years total. Combs, the founder of Bad Boy Records, pleaded not guilty to all counts. The trial lasted seven weeks. Subramanian denied Combs' initial request for release immediately after the verdict, citing the ample evidence presented at trial of violent acts he committed.

Why Man Utd should SCRAP Benjamin Sesko transfer for different position Ruben Amorim desperately needs
MANCHESTER UNITED chiefs are 'working around the clock' to give Ruben Amorim the tools he needs to fix the club. But as Amorim and Co landed back home on Monday after their promising US tour ended with a reality check in the Big Peach, one pressing thought dominated. 7 7 7 Should United chief executive Omar Berrada be prioritising a new No.9 and looking to spend £70million-plus on Benjamin Sesko? Newcastle hit Leipzig's asking price for the Slovenian frontman on Monday night and are keep to wrap up a deal as soon as possible. United now must decide whether to make their move. But the question remains, is it a proper holding midfielder that they REALLY need? Manuel Ugarte looked no better equipped than he did when flailing through last season, as Everton clearly targeted him in Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The £42.3m Uruguayan midfielder, 24, got criminally caught in possession for Iliman Ndiaye's goal in Sunday night's 2-2 friendly draw, was treading through treacle at times and looked all at sea for most of his 72 minutes on the pitch. And when replaced by Casemiro, who remains slower than a pedalo in choppy waters — while Kobbie Mainoo has gone backwards — it exposed glaring vulnerabilities in the centre of midfield. The attacking trident boss Amorim used for the first 45 minutes, with debutant Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Bruno Fernandes floating in and around each other, was vibrant and exciting. 7 7 Amad Diallo, despite playing a part in Ayden Heaven's own goal that gifted the Toffees a second leveller, offered thrust and dynamism at wing-back. Yet he gave centre-back Leny Yoro scant protection. While, Mason Mount came off the bench to curl home a delightful effort and show he can contribute. Sesko wants Man Utd move as Villa block Watkins exit | Transfers Exposed There are clearly goals in this United squad, even with seemingly-unwanted Rasmus Hojlund on the bench and Joshua Zirkzee still not fit. Mbeumo, building up fitness after a £65m move from Brentford, has pace, penetration and perception. Cunha looks a scorer of great goals, if perhaps not a great goalscorer, while skipper Bruno is at his best when looking to hurt opponents with the ball. Replacing Hojlund with another similar style player, rather than a proven Prem striker like Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta, seems a waste of resources given their midfield shortcomings. For starters, Mateta is available at half the price of RB Leipzig man Sesko. Finding a Rodri equivalent is, of course, tough. Just ask Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola. Ugarte got criminally caught in possession for Iliman Ndiaye's goal in Sunday night's 2-2 friendly draw, was treading through treacle at times and looked all at sea for most of his 72 minutes on the pitch. But what Amorim would give for a Michael Carrick or Owen Hargreaves. Even so, Amorim was right to highlight positives from their training camp in Chicago and games against West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton. Yet Fernandes was critical of the 'lazy' performance against the Toffees, adding: 'We need to change that. 'The situation is improving, but the culture here was winning — and we need to bring that back. 'A lot of people have suffered from this, a lot of people who had been working at the club for many years had to go. 'Fans are paying more for tickets, so it's up to us to pay it back on the pitch.' Amorim, asked to respond, was emphatic. He said: 'I'm happy for the players to have that feeling. 7 "They understand the situation. 'We need to be really consistent. But we are better. It's the perfect feeling to go back to Carrington. 'The momentum of the tour was perfect. We had the weeks to work with a good environment, good feeling. "Then we go back to Carrington and are near to starting the season, going with the feeling that we need to do a lot of things.' Including in further recruitment — as captain Fernandes stated in his own message to the board. The Portuguese midfielder said: 'I don't want to have a dig at anyone. 7 "The club are doing the best they can in terms of all the financial situations they talk about. 'But it was crystal clear that we needed more competition — more quality to get everyone to step up a bit more. 'That's what the club and manager are trying to do and, hopefully, we can get one or two players more to help with that.' In what will be music to Fernandes' ears, United chief Berrada revealed: 'The recruitment team is working round the clock to strengthen our squad.' Start with the biggest issue, Omar, not the most eye-catching one. Teams with a polo mint hole in the middle can never win anything.
