All the Awesome STAR WARS Easter Eggs in Luthen Rael's Shop in ANDOR — GeekTyrant

Geek Tyrant2 days ago

The Star War series Andor wasn't interested in nostalgia for nostalgia's sake. It doesn't drop in characters just to make fans point at the screen. While Tony Gilroy kept the narrative lean and meaningful, the rest of the creative team, especially the set designers, had a field day sneaking in some cool Easter eggs, and nowhere is that more evident than in Luthen Rael's elegant, mysterious antique shop.
Luthen's Coruscant storefront, Galactic Antiquities and Objects of Interest, might just be a cover for rebel dealings, but make no mistake: it's packed with deep lore, rare relics, and blink-and-you'll-miss-it treasures that even the most devoted Star Wars fans are still picking apart.
It's like the Star Wars version of a high-end gallery crossed with a lore junkie's fever dream. With Season 2 now streaming on Disney+, StarWars.com confirmed a whole new batch of props, alongside some returning favorites from Season 1.
Let's take a tour through this gallery of galactic goodies, and unpack just how much history is packed into those shelves and pedestals.
From Season 2:
1. Sith Chalice
This incense burner was used in ancient rituals and looks suspiciously like the one Palpatine kept in his office in Revenge of the Sith. That artifact was found on Malachor, but Luthen? No one knows how he got his hands on his.
2. Wookiee Shields
First seen in Revenge of the Sith, the Klorri-clan battle shields are back—teardrop-shaped and wrapped in bronzium bands. Season 1 teased them, but Season 2 goes big with multiples on display.
3. Togruta Pot
With a sculpted Togruta perched on top, this unique pot is the first of its kind seen in Star Wars. It's especially interesting for fans of Ahsoka Tano, since the Togruta are her people.
4. Kalikori
From Star Wars Rebels , the Kalikori is a Twi'lek family heirloom, passed down and added to across generations. The one here might not be the Syndulla's, but it's just as meaningful.
5. Concept Mandalorian Helmet
This isn't your standard Mando gear. This helmet nods to Ralph McQuarrie's early concept art for Boba Fett, and even recalls the Rako Hardeen design from The Clone Wars . It's a gorgeous tribute to Star Wars design evolution.
6. Royal Naboo Headdress
That glimmering headdress is the same style Queen Amidala wore in The Phantom Menace . Regal, iconic, and subtly heartbreaking when you remember Padmé's fate.
7. Decorative Gungan Skull
Equal parts beautiful and morbid, this aurodium-inlaid Gungan skull is covered in ancient symbols. A rare, ceremonial relic from a long-gone era.
Season 1:
1. Amidala-Style Headpiece
Tucked in the rear of the shop, this ornate headpiece nearly matches the one worn by Padmé in Attack of the Clones . A deep pull for prequel fans.
2. Mandalorian Armor
Not just any armor—this is full-on shimmering display armor, gleaming under showroom lights, placed right next to the Amidala piece. A fascinating juxtaposition of cultures.
3. Jedi Temple Guard Mask
Seen for the first time in live-action, this ivory-and-gold mask originally appeared in The Clone Wars . In Luthen's shop, it looks both sacred and ominous.
4. Sankara Stones
Yes, those Sankara stones from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom . They're tucked away in the back room, one of several cheeky nods to Lucasfilm's other iconic universe.
5. Sith Holocron
Hidden among the 'not-for-sale' dark side goods, this Holocron is a red flag for any Jedi. But in a shop like this, it's just another antique.
6. Starkiller's Dark Lord Helmet
Straight from The Force Unleashed's dark side ending, this helmet sits in the shadows, part of a larger set of armor. A sly reference to a fan-favorite game.
7. Wookiee Helmet
The traditional war helmet of Kashyyyk warriors, on full display. Alongside the shields, Luthen's clearly curated quite a collection of Wookiee history.
8. Gungan Shield
These energy-screen shields made their debut in The Phantom Menace , but this one's the real deal—not CG. A practical prop with real-world weight.
9. World Between Worlds Tablet
A deep cut from Rebels and Ahsoka , this mystical tablet is inspired by the realm that plays with time, space, and destiny. It's tucked by the left wall, waiting for someone who knows what they're looking at.
10. Carbonite Blocks
A loving homage to Empire, but look closer: the subjects frozen inside aren't just smugglers. One's the fertility idol from Raiders of the Lost Ark . Another? An Engineer head from Prometheus . These blink-and-you'll-miss-them cameos are pure geek joy.
Luthen Rael's shop may be a rebel front, but it's also one of the best Easter egg museums in Star Wars . The attention to detail isn't just about references, it's about world-building. These props remind us that the galaxy is ancient, layered, and brimming with stories we haven't even heard yet.

Rachel Zegler's ‘Snow White' Gets Disney+ Streaming Date

"Snow White" partial poster featuring Rachel Zegler. Snow White — Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot's beleaguered live-action adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs — is coming soon to Disney+. Directed by Marc Webb, Snow White opened in theaters on March 21 and debuted on digital streaming on May 13. The official synopsis for the movie reads, 'Disney's Snow White is a vibrant live-action musical reimagining of Walt Disney's groundbreaking full-length animated classic. 'Experience the timeless adventure as Snow White (Zegler) journeys into magical woods to escape her stepmother, the Evil Queen (Gadot), and meets the beloved Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Happy, Dopey, Grumpy and Doc who join her quest to restore the kingdom and bring kindness to the land.' Walt Disney Home Entertainment announced on Wednesday that Snow White will premiere on streaming video on demand on Disney+ on Wednesday, June 11. You must be a Disney+ subscriber to watch Snow White on the platform. The platform offers an ad-based Disney+ Basic plan for $9.99 per month, as well as an ad-free Disney+ Premium plan for $15.99 per month or $159.99 per year. Disney+ is also available in bundling packages with fellow streaming services Hulu and Max. Snow White had a rough run in theaters following a slew of pre-release controversies, including Rachel Zegler's criticism of the 1937 animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and politically divisive social media posts, and Disney's handling of how the seven dwarfs should be represented on screen. Disney ultimately settled on CGI dwarfs to represent the diminutive characters. Snow White, which is still in theaters, has to date earned $87.2 million in North American theaters and $118.3 million internationally for a worldwide box office tally of $205.5 million worldwide against a $269.4 million production budget before prints and advertising, according to The Numbers. The film earned a 40% 'rotten' rating from Rotten Tomatoes critics based on 258 reviews. The Critics Consensus on the review aggregation site reads, 'Snow White is hardly a grumpy time at the movies thanks to Rachel Zegler's luminous star turn, but its bashful treatment of the source material along with some dopey stylistic choices won't make everyone happy, either.' Snow White, however, did receive a 71% 'fresh' score on RT's Popcornmeter based on 2,500-plus verified user ratings. Snow White will arrive on Disney+ on June 11.

Disney reveals when 'Snow White' remake is coming to streaming

The live-action remake of "Snow White" will make its streaming debut next week, Disney announced Wednesday, June 4. The adaptation starring Rachel Zegler as the titular princess hit theaters on March 21 and has since grossed more than $205 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. The film adapts the 1937 animated classic "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," Walt Disney Animation Studios first full-length feature that went on to be nominated for the Best Picture Academy-Award and won an honorary Oscar. In addition to Zegler, the new remake also features "Wonder Woman" star Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen as well as Andrew Burnap as love interest Jonathan and Martin Klebba as Grumpy the dwarf. The streaming announcement comes as Disney continues to reimagine some of its most beloved movies from 2019's "The Lion King" to 2023's "The Little Mermaid." Disney's 2025 live-action "Snow White" film will be available to stream on Wednesday, June 11.

Ridley Scott Says He's 'Done Enough' With Alien but Hopes for the Franchise's Future — GeekTyrant

Ridley Scott, the mastermind behind the original Alien , has officially made it clear that he's done with the franchise. After years of shaping the iconic sci-fi universe, Scott's focus now shifts to what lies ahead for the franchise, just not with him behind the director's chair. The 87-year-old filmmaker recently shared his thoughts with ScreenRant, confirming that, while he's still invested in the Alien universe, he's 'done enough' with the series and won't be returning to direct another installment. Reflecting on the Alien franchise's evolution, Scott admitted that after Alien Resurrection (1997), the series lost its spark. "I think I felt it was deadened after 4. I think mine was pretty damn good, and I think [James Cameron's] was good, and I have to say the rest were not very good. And I thought, 'F—, that's the end of a franchise which should be as important as bloody Star Trek or Star Wars,' which I think is phenomenal." Scott even drew a comparison to 2001: A Space Odyssey , acknowledging the monumental significance of the first Alien movie in shaping the sci-fi genre. It's hard to believe now, but when Scott took on Alien back in 1979, it wasn't a guaranteed hit. The studio wasn't even keen on having him direct. "A number of years after, I said, 'I'm going to resurrect this,' [and wrote] Prometheus from scratch—a blank sheet of paper. Damon Lindelof and I hammered out Prometheus. It was very present and very welcome. The audience really wanted more.' This revival continued with Alien: Covenant (2017), which Scott also helmed, though he now feels that he's done all he can for the franchise. So what does Scott hope for the future of Alien? Though he won't be back to direct, his hopes remain high for the direction the series will take. 'Where it's going now, I think I've done enough, and I just hope it goes further.' With the reaction that Alien: Romulus got, which he produced, it seems the series is still generating real excitement again. Fans have even more to look forward to with the upcoming streaming series Alien: Earth , which premieres on Hulu on August 12th. Scott is an executive producer on the series. While there were earlier reports suggesting Scott might develop another prequel movie, his recent comments leave us uncertain about the project's status. Whether it's scrapped or merely not in his directorial future, Scott's remarks suggest the direction of the franchise will now be in the hands of others.
