Thousands of fans have been queuing outside the Oasis store in Cardiff in the lead up to the band's highly anticipated reunion gig.
On Friday afternoon, only a few hours before the Gallagher brothers and their band would be performing on the Principality Stadium's stage, an estimated 1,000 people were spotted outside the pop-up shop at St David's Shopping Centre. The queue stretched on both sides, which was half the length of the entire centre.
And it's easy to see why so many have queued over recent days, as the brothers are officially reuniting for the first time in 16 years. As fans will know, the brothers have also left an indelible mark on British fashion with their parkas with pockets, shell jackets, polo shirts and bucket hats.

Meanwhile, a pop-up merchandise store has been opened on the Millennium Plaza only a stone's throw away from where the brothers will be performing.

The two concerts in Cardiff, taking place on Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5, are estimated to generate a net economic benefit for the Cardiff economy of nearly £27 million.
As reported by The Sun, it was revealed previously that the duo landed a £20million deal with Warner for the rights to their image for a merchandising deal.
Liam and Noel have also signed a lucrative sponsorship deal with Adidas.
Oasis competition: Win tickets to see Oasis at Wembley
Tickets for the Oasis reunion sold out across all venues due to huge demand when they went online earlier in the year.
However, there are still several options available for fans trying to snag a last-minute spot.
Viagogo and resale tickets
Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs.
Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.

Limited last-minute tickets can be bought from the official Ticketmaster resale site, where fans who can no longer go sell their seats, although these tend to go into and out of stock quickly. Elsewhere, resale sites like Viagogo, Vivid Seats, StubHub and Twickets are selling tickets for various dates with prices from £121, although fans should always bear in mind that many official sites, such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, discourage the purchase of resale tickets.

'Lewis Hamilton invited me onto his private jet – he showed his true colours'

Lewis Hamilton will soon take to Silverstone as a Ferrari driver for the first time, and one of his Formula 1 rivals has a deeper insight into the British star's character after a private jet ride Lewis Hamilton will soon make his British Grand Prix debut as a Ferrari driver. Fans at his home race will laud the 40-year-old, whose true character has been made crystal clear after a private jet ride with fellow Formula 1 star Franco Colapinto. Hamilton returns to Silverstone in Scuderia red for the first time, looking to keep the momentum from a promising Austrian Grand Prix weekend. So far, the Brit and team-mate Charles Leclerc are yet to register a race win, aside from Hamilton's sprint victory at the Chinese Grand Prix. ‌ Yet, a P4 at the Red Bull Ring is a solid foundation, and Hamilton has finished on the podium at the last 11 renewals of the British GP. When he takes to the Northamptonshire track, one star who'll join him on the starting grid is Alpine's Colapinto. ‌ The young Argentine has come to the end of his five-round deal, but is all set to grace Silverstone in Alpine's second seat. He has a unique insight into ex- Mercedes star Hamilton's world, having taken up the offer of a private jet ride to London with him after the Spanish Grand Prix instead of flying EasyJet, and has shed light on the encounter. "Yeah, it was nice. Lewis is a great guy and I had the best flight of my life with him. It was very special and very unique," said Colapinto after the Austrian Grand Prix. "You all know that he was my idol since I was very young, with [Aryton] Senna as well, and to be able to fly with him and have a bit of a chat. He asked if anyone was flying to London and I said I'm going to London, but on EasyJet. "And he came back saying he had a lot of space on his plane and invited me to go. It was quite special. Also flying private for the first time, two very unique experiences and a lot of stories from Lewis. "A very special flight. He's a great guy and I was very, very impressed by how he is as a person and how he is as a professional," shared the 22-year-old. ‌ "A lot to admire from the personal part from the sportsman. It was great, a dream come true and didn't have to fly on my EasyJet flight." The seven-time F1 champion has long preferred private plane travel, and in 2013, he spent £25million on a luxury Bombardier Challenger 605 in an unmissable cheery red colourway. However, due to environmental and financial reasons, he sold the jet in 2019, and it is assumed that the jet that he and Colapinto travelled on was rented, as Hamilton often does when making his way to and from races. ‌ While a 10th British GP victory would be poetic for Hamilton as he makes his Silverstone bow with his new team, fellow F1 icon Damon Hill believes another Brit will steal the show in Lando Norris. "Nigel Mansell used to say the support of a home crowd was worth a second a lap," Hill exclusively told the Mirror. "And it definitely adds something. "If I had to stick my neck out at Silverstone, it's got to be Lando. It feels like this is his time. I'm sure he'll be desperate to win it. Ferrari have a decent record in the British Grand Prix too, so you never know."

'I visited Rafael Nadal's hotel and couldn't believe what it was like'

Active wellbeing is a growing travel trend and there's no better place to get involved than at lifestyle resort Zel Punta Cana, which was recently opened in Dominican Republic. Part of Meliá Hotels and Resorts and created in collaboration with tennis legend Rafael Nadal, the luxurious Caribbean resort offers an idyllic escape with excellent facilities – including a top class tennis centre, naturally. With outdoor pools, a fitness centre and a peaceful spa, we found it to be a real treat for both mind and body. After a warm welcome on arrival, Zel quickly felt like our home away from home – an ethos the resort really prides itself on. Every corner has been meticulously designed to create a serene setting, from the indoor-outdoor dining concept to the plants in orange stone pots and the rattan lamp shades. Our Zel Suite was beautifully decorated, with wooden beams, a palette of orange, cream and blue, warm lighting and abstract woven wall art. The room was airy and bright, with a walk-in wardrobe, a sprawling bathroom with double sinks, a spacious living area and a chic kitchenette. Our private balcony had a seating area as well as a bathtub tucked away in one corner. And we didn't have to worry about losing our room keys as our handy wooden bracelets unlocked our suite. We enjoyed breakfast in the Mediterranean style buffet restaurant Parda, even sipping juice from coconuts cut straight from the palm trees. Zel's Mexican-Greek fusion restaurant Tacorini quickly became our favourite lunch spot, where we tucked into crispy fish tacos, Greek salads and passion fruit mojitos next to the pool. At Neguri, the beach club, guests eat lunch with their toes in the sand. And in the evenings, we indulged in Japanese-inspired dishes at Nokyo. It's fun to watch the chef's culinary acrobatics and the sushi platter and seafood pad Thai were standouts. Head to Silvestre for fine wines with a delicious cheese and cured meat board. With ambient lighting and an elegant interior, the setting is idyllic. A stay at Zel wouldn't be complete without hitting some balls at the tennis centre, and we got a sneak peek before it opens this September. With five tennis courts, four padel courts and six pickleball courts, we served, sliced and smashed our way round the court surrounded by palm trees. We tried some of the other activities on offer and a real highlight was experiencing the thrill of gliding across the waves on a Hobie Cat catamaran. We also laughed our way through a 'pound class' in which we tapped, beat and waved drum sticksaround to music. We tried aerial yoga and paddle yoga, enjoyed a cycling tour through the sprawling resort and braved ice baths to rejuvenate both our body and mind. In between, there was plenty of time to lounge around by the outdoor swimming pools and we hopped in the resort's buggy to nearby Bávaro beach, where we enjoyed the clear waters and sugar-white sand. We also indulged in a massage at AUA spa, so our stay was a perfect balance of sport and relaxation. Rates at Zel Punta Cana start from £299 per night on an all-inclusive basis – see to book. British Airways offers direct return flights from London Gatwick to Punta Cana from around £607.

Green Wing star Sophie Alexander's former partner dies after successful career

Veteran stage and TV performer Gerald Harper - who was in a brief relationship with an actress 40 years his junior - has died. Gerald made his name on British TV in the 1960s and 1970s, starring as the lead role in the adventure drama Adam Adamant Lives! and then as the main character in Hadleigh. He then went on to forge an illustrious career on the stage, featuring in various West End shows, including Crucifer of Blood and A Personal Affair at the Haymarket Theatre. Although he was also in popular films, such as 1979 mystery comedy The Lady Vanishes, Gerald will also be remembered for his relationship with Coupling and Green Wing star Sophie Alexander. He was in his early 70s when Sophie, then aged around 30, became lovers. Sophie was at the height of her own fame at the time, as she was a regular in sitcom Coupling and had been in Smack the Pony for four years. Speaking at the time, a source who saw the couple together told our sister title, the Sunday People: "They were super-glued together! They were all over each other and didn't care who saw them. Funnily enough, the young lady was making a lot of the running and kept grabbing him to French kiss him – it was quite a display." But Sophie, who has since been in Hollywood film I Could Never Be Your Woman, ended things with Gerald in 2002. She left Gerald for actor Peter Serafinowicz, whom she since married. Gerald died on Wednesday, his agent confirmed yesterday. CDM Talent Agency posted on social media: "It is with great sadness that Gerald Harper has recently passed away - he was a valued client before he went to Spain to enjoy his retirement." It is unclear where the actor died. He leaves behind two grown-up children, one from each of his two marriages before he met Sophie. Gerald, who also a radio presenter, was married to actress Jane Downs from 1957 until they divorced in 1975. In 1976, he married Carla Rabaiotti, a former Pan American air stewardess; they were divorced in 1983. He had a daughter with Heartbeat star Jane, who herself passed away in 2015, and a son with Carla. Yet it is the fling with Sophie, long after the marriages, which caused the stir in Notting Hill, central London, where Gerald lived. Sophie reportedly moved in with the star, some 42 years her senior, which was believed to have raised eyebrows in the affluent area. It is said, though, Gerald was "absolutely bereft" when Sarah left him for Amandaland star Peter in 2002. Since then, Gerald's TV work declined and he focused more on plays and radio presenting. The charismatic performer presented The Sunday Affair for Capital Radio in the 1970s, and a series of Saturday afternoon shows for BBC Radio 2 in the early 1990s, in which he played classic songs from the past and gave away bottles of champagne and chocolates. Speaking to the Daily Express in 2006, dad-of-two Gerald, who grew up in Barnet, northwest London, said: "I was a TV star on my own terms and for the best part of 20 years I virtually didn't have a day off."
