These are the most Instagrammable attractions in the U.S., per a new study

Time Outa day ago

Let's face it: Few people travel days without taking photos destined to wind up on social media (you know, whenever they finish putting them through several rounds of filters). And even if you're not planning to post 'em to Instagram, you still want to snap beautiful shots, and an amazing backdrop is half the battle. So how do you get a wonderful background to stand in front of? You pick your destination from the most Instagrammable attractions in the U.S.
Created by the French online casino comparison company Lucky-7-Bonus, the picturesque list was formed by starting with Tour Scanner's round-up of the 100 best tourist attractions, each of which was then scanned on Instagram to learn how many hashtags it earned. For instance, the number one destination on the resulting list—unsurprisingly, the most magical place on Earth, a.k.a. Walt Disney World—was hashtagged 11,345,400 times by Insta users.
Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida features many places to take a fantastic photo across its huge complex, which includes multiple theme parks—with the iconic Cinderella castle and chances to take photos with beloved characters—plus water parks and more than two dozen official Disney resort hotels.
But the true winner of this list is New York City. No fewer than six of its attractions land on this top 10 list. And if we expand it from New York City to New York state, a seventh destination gets added!
Clearly, New York dominates, including nabbing the second-place spot with Central Park, which has 8,912,000 hashtagged posts. The stunning 843-acre park includes views of wild landscapes (we love the Ramble with its twisting woodland paths) with skyscrapers on the horizon. Don't forget to take a photo at the Belvedere Castle, too.
An NYC destination is also third on this list: Broadway, with 7,432,800 hashtags. The avenue is famous for its theaters and getting a photo with a marquee showing the name of the stage production you saw is a tourist favorite. New York State also captures the no. 4 (Times Square), no. 5 (Wall Street), no. 8 (Brooklyn Bridge), no. 9 (Niagara Falls) and no. 10 (Empire State Building) spots on the ranking. So, if you're an influencer, New York has to be on your photo-snapping itinerary!
Here's the full list of the top 10 most Instagrammable attractions in the U.S.:
1. Walt Disney World: Florida
2. Central Park: New York
3. Broadway: New York
4. Times Square: New York
5. Wall Street: New York
6. Venice Beach: California
7. Grand Canyon: Arizona
8. Brooklyn Bridge: New York
9. Niagara Falls: New York
10. Empire State Building: New York

Mark Wright forced to apologise for 'tasteless' Instagram post in wake of Air India plane crash

Mark Wright has issued a public apology after sharing a post about his flight home from a lavish holiday with wife Michelle Keegan just hours after the fatal Air India plane crash today. Mark Wright has apologised for sharing a post that has been deemed as "inappropriate" in the wake of the Air India plane crash earlier today. The former TOWIE star has since deleted the post, saying in a statement on his Instagram stories that it had been a "horrendous coincidence". Mark, 38, and wife Michelle Keegan, 38, have been enjoying a holiday in Spain and sharing numerous updates from their trip with their fans. The couple, who became parents earlier this year, took their three-month old daughter Palma abroad for the first time with them on a family trip. ‌ The family are understood to have returned to the UK earlier today and Mark is said to have shared a snap of the trio in front of a private jet at an airport. He reportedly teased over having limited leg room on standard flights in the post. ‌ However, the Heart Radio host was hit with fierce backlash over the post amid the tragic news of the Air India flight, which crashed shortly after take off from Ahmedabad, the Mirror reports. The aircraft had been set to land at Gatwick Airport in London. Mark has since issued a sincere apology for his "mistake", explaining to fans that he had scheduled the post, which has now been deleted, in advance. ‌ He shared a statement on his Instagram story as he insisted it had been a "horrendous coincidence". He wrote: "I apologise for a post I just put up on my page after today's heartbreaking events. I have posts from a holiday that are on the scheduled setting, which go out on future days I have set them for which was done last week." He added in the message to his followers this evening: "It's a horrendous coincidence that today's post was on such a devastating day. Once I logged in to my Instagram and realised the post had gone out, I immediately deleted [it]. "My heart goes out to everyone who has been effected from today. I'm sorry for this mistake and any offence caused." According to the Sun, Mark had teased over not having extra leg room on the flight home from his holiday with Michelle and their daughter in the poorly timed post. ‌ Seemingly teasing over them not travelling on a private aircraft he's said to have written: "1 day babe, for now we'll take row 26 with no extra leg room." ‌ The outlet reports that some of his followers were quick to question the timing of the post given the news of the Air India flight. Another is quoted as having said: "Prob not the best day to post this when so many people lost their lives on a plane."

The nursery, which hails from Singapore and is built on the Reggio Emilia philosophy of child-led learning, is the first of its kind in the UK. Spread across three pristine, light-filled floors, Odyssey caters to children from infancy up to five years old, offering everything from multilingual education to music lessons in a dedicated 'jam room.' Angela Ang, head of school, explained: 'Our philosophy is 'learning without boundaries', so we believe learning doesn't only take place in the rooms, it takes place anywhere.' For £150 a day — or £690 for a full five-day week — little ones are served three gourmet meals prepared by an in-house chef, all NHS-accredited. But this is no ordinary nursery food. Think free-range pork loin with leek and cauliflower gratin, or spanakopita with tzatziki. One parent reportedly mistook the menu for a high-end restaurant's tasting course. Still, Odyssey isn't just about luxury lunches. Children are introduced to French, Spanish and Mandarin between their story circles and sensory play. Each room is designed with natural materials and educational themes, encouraging hands-on exploration and creativity. There's a bespoke library, a spacious art studio, and even a climbing wall outside. Upstairs, children preparing for primary school learn about science, sustainability, maths and literacy through structured play. Ang said: 'We observe the needs of the children, their interests, and we provide materials based on what they enjoy.' Technology plays a subtle role too. 'We give the children iPads,' she said. What help is available to parents for childcare costs? CHILDCARE can be a costly business. Here is how you can get help. 30 hours of free childcare - Parents of three and four-year-olds can apply for 30 hours of free childcare a week. To qualify you must work at least 16 hours a week at the national living or minimum wage and earn less than £100,000 a year. free childcare - Parents of three and four-year-olds can apply for 30 hours of free childcare a week. Tax-free childcare - Available to working families and the self-employed, for every £8 you put in the government will add an extra £2. 'If we're learning about shapes, for example, they might find a circle in their environment, snap a photo, and we project it onto the screen so everyone can see each other's work.' The focus, she insists, is not just on ticking off academic milestones. 'We want them to leave with lifelong learning skills — soft skills, open-mindedness, resilience and a willingness to take risks,' said Ang. The setting reflects a growing appetite in the capital for globally minded early years education. With Singapore's education system topping international rankings, Odyssey hopes to translate its success to a London audience who expect high quality — and are prepared to pay for it. In an age when many nurseries in the capital charge more than £100 per day, often with additional fees for meals or longer hours, Odyssey's all-in model, while eye-watering, is not entirely out of step. Parents across England are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare for children aged three and four, with up to 30 hours for working families, but many London nurseries charge well above the funded hours. Odyssey also prides itself on being inclusive, catering to both mainstream children and those with special educational needs and disabilities. The nursery is yet to be rated by Ofsted but says it's committed to top-tier educational outcomes and pastoral care. 6 Upstairs, children preparing for primary school learn about science, sustainability, maths and literacy through structured play Credit: The Odyssey 6 With Singapore's education system topping international rankings, Odyssey hopes to translate its success to a London audience Credit: The Odyssey
