Ice Storm Warning & Winter Weather Advisories
(WJW) – Winter weather alerts have been issued for a handful of northern Ohio counties ahead of sleet and freezing rain.
An Ice Storm Warning is set to take effect for Ottawa County starting at 1 p.m. Wednesday and Winter Weather Advisories for Crawford, Erie, Huron, and Sandusky counties. The weather alerts last through 7 a.m. Thursday.

Wednesday will start dry. Then a mix of sleet and freezing rain will push into the area between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. from the southwest. The system will transition to all rain in the evening as temperatures rise.

(WJW) — Another round of showers and storms will move in this afternoon, especially south and east. Scattered rain and a few thunderstorms will favor areas east of Interstate 77 during the afternoon and evening on Friday. There will still be some dry breaks with temperatures in the mid-70s. Video taken inside Kauffman Stadium during severe storms Tuesday
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Severe thunderstorms moved across the Kansas City area Tuesday afternoon. High winds and heavy rain hit both sides of the state line, along with multiple tornado warnings. Video shared on the social media platform X by poster @QUINSWARTZ showed what the storm looked like inside Kauffman Stadium. The grounds crew has been putting in new sod in the outfield this week. Outside the stadium, a light pole was knocked down and port-a-potties were blown over. At this time, no major damage has been reported at Kauffman or Arrowhead stadiums. The storms have also left thousands of Evergy customers without power in the metro. Download WDAF+ for Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV Traffic lights are out at several major intersections in Independence, one of which led to a police officer being hit while in his vehicle at Truman and Lee's Summit Road.
