Hulk Hogan's horrific final weeks were riddled with health bouts: report

New York Post3 days ago
Hulk Hogan had faced a slew of health issues and suffered from a 'weak heart' in the lead-up to his death at age 71, according to a report.
The wrestling icon, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, died Thursday morning as reports suggested he suffered a cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Fla. home.
'He was suffering from shortness of breath, got tired easily, had lost a lot of weight and was on oxygen as his life ebbed away at his mansion in Clearwater, Florida,' an insider alleged to the Daily Mail.

Still, the source said that the handlebar-mustachioed marvel's final weeks also featured happy moments, too.
'He had a lot of scores to settle. Didn't want to leave anything unsaid,' the insider said, adding that Hogan spent time trying to mend bridges with estranged loved ones — including his estranged daughter Brooke.

The outlet reported that Hogan had hoped that the two would reconcile as the pair last spoke two weeks before his wedding to Sky Daily in 2023.
While an official cause of death is yet to be revealed, officials confirmed foul play was not suspected.

Emergency officials received an initial 911 call at 10 a.m. for a cardiac arrest, according to audio obtained by TMZ.
The wrestling great was taken to a nearby hospital, but he died around 11:17 a.m.
'[Hogan] was experiencing a serious medical related issue,' the Clearwater Police Department told reporters on Thursday.

The wrestler's death has sparked mass speculation over his health, with some people claiming Hogan was even paralyzed in a coma — a claim some insiders have rejected.
'Allegedly Hogan is in the hospital and I've heard people say that he might not make it,' Hogan's former pal, Todd Clem, said last month on his widely listened to Florida radio program, 'The Bubba the Love Sponge Show.'
Here is the latest on wrestler Hulk Hogan's death
Clem – who asked Hogan to be the best man in his wedding before the wrestler slept with his wife – said his information came from a 'pretty damn reliable' source.
The Hulkster's reps denied the health claims, with Daily explaining that he'd only undergone neck surgery in May and was quickly recovering.
On May 1, he appeared in a sit-down interview on Fox News' 'Fox & Friends' where he showed off a dramatic throwback two-tone beard, coupled with his trademark snow white handlebar mustache.
Later that month, Hogan was seen meeting up with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) at Clearwater Beach.

'Great to see the Hulkster and throw back a cold @RealAmerBeer in Clearwater Beach @HogansHangout,' DeSantis wrote on X alongside a photo of the pair holding up cans of Hogan's Real American Beer.

And just two days before his death, Hogan's longtime manager and friend, Jimmy Hart, provided a positive update that refuted other claims.
'Hulk is doing great, doing phenomenal! Last night at karaoke with Nick was absolutely fantastic, baby!!!' Hart posted Tuesday on X in response to an ominous report on 'Bubba The Love Sponge show.'

How Taylor Swift Responsed to Matty Healy's Mom on WWHL

Wondering how Taylor Swift feels about her ex-boyfriend Matty Healy's mom going onto Watch What Happens Live and telling everyone she's "glad" not to be her mother-in-law? About that. To rewind real fast, Andy Cohen asked Matty's mom, Denise Welch, about The Tortured Poets Department, which is thought to be—at least in part—about Taylor's relationship with Matty. And for some reason Denise felt the need to respond to the question like this: "Obviously, on pain of death, can I talk about that episode, but not being her mother-in-law is a role that I am glad that I lost. Not that I have anything against her at all! It was just, you know, it was tricky." Denise added " you're not allowed to say anything, and then she writes a whole album about it. But Matty has taken it all in completely good grace. He's very happy with his amazing fiancée Gabriella, Gabbriette, who is gorgeous. So, we've moved on." Cut to a Daily Mail source, who had this to say about Taylor's reaction: "It's a bit obnoxious in Taylor's eyes, but she has to take the high road. If there was anything that would be in a future song of Taylor's–if she were ever to respond–she would respond that way. But as of right now, she might just let it slide. She is not going to let Denise ruin her day." They added that "Taylor respected Denise and will continue to do so, as this will go away very quickly. But if Denise continues to talk about it and bash Taylor, then Taylor would say something. The ball is still in Denise's court to see if she wants to continue the narrative she brought upon herself." Fair enough!

30 Iconic Bob Hairstyles Defining 2025

It's minimizing to call what's happening with bobs this year a trend. I'd sooner deem it a complete cultural takeover. I'm faced with cunty fresh cuts on my commute, in prestige television shows, at my grocery store, and swaying sophisticatedly in workout classes. It feels like every day on my Instagram feed, there's a new bob reveal, treated with the reverence and celebration of a pregnancy or engagement announcement. And I participate in the comment section revelry wholeheartedly. Because in every form they take, bobs devour, and I've become 100 percent convinced this cut is the chicest and most practical possible way to wear your hair. 'It's clean and intentional, and it can completely transform the way someone carries themselves,' says Kazu Katahira, a celebrity hairstylist with Forward Artists in New York, NY. 'And what I love most is how customizable it is. No two bobs are the same when you are doing it right. You can play with the length, the angle, the texture, and it becomes this little signature for the person wearing it.' I witnessed this wide variety of bob possibilities during Cosmo's photo shoot, dedicated to documenting the hairstyle's takeover. We invited 30 women with New York City's greatest bobs to come in, show them off, and share what makes the bob lifestyle a preferred one. Gift Fashions: The Ever-Evolving Art of Stylish Gifting

Gifting has always been a universal expression of love, gratitude, celebration, and connection. But over the past few decades, gifting has transformed from a simple gesture into an art form—and, increasingly, a fashion statement. Today, 'gift fashions' refer not only to what we give, but how we give it: the aesthetics, trends, branding, and cultural significance that shape modern gift-giving practices. This article explores the world of gift fashions: the history, the trends, the social dynamics, and how gifting has become an expression of personal style and identity. Gift-giving is as old as human civilization. In ancient societies, gifts were used to establish alliances, convey social status, or honor deities. With time, gifting became more personal—birthdays, weddings, holidays, and religious events became standard occasions. From Utility to Fashion Historically, gifts were utilitarian—food, livestock, or clothing. Over time, people began to place more importance on the presentation and meaning behind the gift than its actual utility. By the 20th century, the fashion industry, advertising, and pop culture played significant roles in shaping what made a gift 'desirable' or 'trendy.' Gift fashions refer to the evolving preferences, styles, and cultural norms that influence the types of gifts people give at a particular time. It includes: Popular gift items or categories (e.g., tech gadgets, handmade crafts) (e.g., tech gadgets, handmade crafts) Aesthetic and branding trends (e.g., minimalist packaging, luxury labels) (e.g., minimalist packaging, luxury labels) Personalized or custom experiences (e.g., monogrammed items, curated gift boxes) (e.g., monogrammed items, curated gift boxes) Eco-conscious and ethical choices (e.g., sustainable brands, fair-trade products) Gift fashions are often influenced by celebrity culture, social media trends, seasonal marketing, and changing values (like sustainability or minimalism). Social Media and Influencers Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest are major drivers of gift fashions. 'Gift guides,' 'unboxing videos,' and influencer-endorsed products dictate what's considered trendy. A beautifully wrapped gift or a viral product often becomes the must-have present of the season. Pop Culture and Media TV shows, movies, and music often spark gifting trends. A handbag seen in a hit series or a book recommended by a celebrity can become an overnight bestseller during the holiday season. Fashion and Lifestyle Brands Major fashion houses like Gucci, Dior, and Chanel are influencing gift trends by offering chic gift collections—perfumes, designer accessories, or gift boxes. Brands like Apple or Dyson, though not traditionally 'fashion,' have turned tech into status symbols, making them fashionable gift choices. Let's explore some of the most iconic gifting trends of the past 70 years: 1950s–1960s: The Age of Elegance Gifts were traditional and classy—fine jewelry, leather goods, and perfume were staples. Gift presentation became important: satin boxes, velvet cases, and delicate wrapping reflected post-war prosperity. 1970s–1980s: Self-Expression and Pop Culture The rise of consumerism and pop culture shaped gift-giving. Vinyl records, Polaroid cameras, lava lamps, and slogan T-shirts were hot gifts. Customization emerged—monogrammed items or DIY crafts were popular. 1990s: Tech Meets Trend The tech boom ushered in gadgets like Game Boys, Walkmans, and Tamagotchis. Designer brands became aspirational gifts: Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Guess. Gift-giving reflected brand obsession. 2000s: Experiential and Digital People started valuing experiences: concert tickets, spa vouchers, or travel packages. Digital gifts—MP3 players, iPods, or mobile phones—dominated. Wrapping took a backseat to minimalism. 2010s: Instagrammable Gifting The era of social media influenced gifting aesthetics. Marble textures, rose gold, pastel hues, and hand-lettered cards became gifting staples. Subscription boxes like FabFitFun or Birchbox were trending. 2020s: Conscious and Personalized In the wake of the pandemic and rising climate awareness, gifts became more thoughtful. Handwritten notes, eco-friendly packaging, sustainable products, and DIY kits gained popularity. Personalization—custom portraits, engraved jewelry, curated gift baskets—defined gift fashion. How a gift looks has become just as important as what it is. Wrapping a gift is now a curated experience, and brands have capitalized on this. Bold & Graphic : Patterned paper with statement ribbons. : Patterned paper with statement ribbons. Sustainable : Furoshiki (Japanese fabric wrapping), reusable bags. : Furoshiki (Japanese fabric wrapping), reusable bags. Luxury Wrap: High-end paper, embossed logos, wax seals. Unboxing experiences are often shared on social media, so presentation has become part of the gift itself. Nothing says 'I care' more than a gift tailored to the recipient. In today's gift fashion world, personalization is king. Trending Personalized Gifts: Custom Jewelry : Birthstone necklaces, name bracelets. : Birthstone necklaces, name bracelets. Portrait Art : Illustrated family portraits, pet drawings. : Illustrated family portraits, pet drawings. Monogrammed Accessories : Leather wallets, notebooks, robes. : Leather wallets, notebooks, robes. Experience Boxes: Curated wine tastings, book clubs, self-care kits. Companies like Etsy, Not On The High Street, and local artisans have gained popularity by offering bespoke gifting solutions. Gift fashions are also influenced by geography and culture. Gift fashions adapt to local customs, but global platforms like Amazon and Instagram are creating a more homogenized 'global gift fashion.' As environmental and ethical awareness grows, so does the demand for gifts that reflect those values. Eco-Friendly Gift Trends: Sustainable Products : Reusable water bottles, organic skincare, upcycled goods. : Reusable water bottles, organic skincare, upcycled goods. Zero-Waste Packaging : Compostable wrap, fabric gift bags. : Compostable wrap, fabric gift bags. Gifts That Give Back: Charitable donations, brands with social missions. Buyers today often ask: Is this gift aligned with my values? Gift fashions are also reflecting changes in social awareness. Gender-neutral and inclusive gifts are on the rise. Trendy Inclusive Gift Options: Self-care gifts for all genders LGBTQ+ pride-themed collections Books and games promoting diversity Fragrances and clothing Gifting is now less about stereotypes and more about honoring identity and uniqueness. The gifting industry is big business. Retailers, brands, and startups now focus heavily on 'gifting seasons.' There are entire departments and teams dedicated to gift merchandising, curated gift sets, and limited-edition collections. The Gifting Economy: Gift Boxes : Ready-to-gift solutions for convenience. : Ready-to-gift solutions for convenience. Subscription Services : Monthly 'surprises' as ongoing gifts. : Monthly 'surprises' as ongoing gifts. E-Gifting Platforms: Digital gift cards, online experiences. Companies are investing in data-driven gifting, using customer behavior to recommend trendy gifts. What's next in the world of gift fashion? AI-Driven Gifting Smart algorithms that curate gifts based on a recipient's digital footprint or past behavior. For example, Spotify gifts based on music taste or AI-curated book subscriptions. Virtual and AR Gifts With the rise of the metaverse, gifting may move into the digital realm—NFTs, digital art, virtual experiences. Hyper-Personalization DNA-based skincare gifts, astrological curation, or gifts based on your Enneagram or MBTI type. Hybrid Experiences Combining physical and digital—like sending a physical kit with a matching virtual workshop. Gift fashions are a dynamic reflection of our values, cultures, and aspirations. In a world increasingly dominated by fast trends, social media, and global commerce, gifting has become a fashion-forward expression of personality and taste. TIME BUSINESS NEWS
