Graham Norton arrives on the BAFTA TV Awards red carpet with his arm in a SLING after mystery injury - after fears over house sales

Daily Mail11-05-2025

Graham Norton arrived on the BAFTA TV Awards red carpet on Sunday revealing he'd sustained an injury as he sported his arm in a sling.
The chat show king, 62, was among the stars who stepped out British TV's night of the year - but there was a noticeable change to his appearance.
Graham was beaming as he posed for snaps in an all-black tuxedo featuring a quirky patent button-adorned collar.
But he also debuted a mystery injury as his left arm was seen being supported by a black mesh sling.
The injury comes just days after fans shared their concerns after it was revealed he has put two of his homes up for sale in just one week.
Graham revealed last week that he was putting his £4.95million east London mansion on the market after 20 years of living in the grade-II listed home.
But it has now been reported that Graham is also looking to sell his Manhattan carriage house, which he bought in 2002 after falling in love with its British feel.
The huge move has left some concerned about the reasoning behind the decision to sell both properties, with fans sharing their fears online.
The presenter was previously one of the BBC's highest paid stars, but in recent years has seen his earnings reduce.
The star, who tied the knot with Jonathan 'Jono' McLeod in 2022, had also shared his hopes of 'a big change' when he first put his London home on the market.
Graham, previously among the BBC 's highest earners, is no longer one of the top-paid presenters on the publicly funded broadcaster.
He left BBC R2 in 2020 and his BBC One show is produced by an independent company, meaning his earnings are not reflected in the annual list of highest earners.
However, Graham's recent comments about the reason behind the potential sale of his home in the English capital may put fans' worries to rest.
Revealing the reason for the sale, the TV presenter told The Sunday Times that after pondering over it for a couple of years he is ready for a 'big change'.
The Irish comedian said he is 'finally feeling brave enough' to sell his beloved Georgian house which sits on the banks of the River Thames.
The 2025 BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises is taking place at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall on Sunday.
For the first time, Scottish actor, writer, producer and presenter Alan Cumming will host the glitzy eremony.
Emma Baehr, Executive Director of Awards & Content at BAFTA, said: 'We're delighted that Alan Cumming will be hosting this year's BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises.
'He will definitely bring a playful sense of mischief and fun to the ceremony, so audiences should expect the unexpected at Britain's biggest celebration of TV on Sunday 11 May.'
The star-studded evening will see a slew of celebrities take home awards celebrating excellence in TV, as well as a line-up of standout performances.
Global music stars Jessie J and Tom Grennan are both set to put on a show at the ceremony, with powerhouse Jessie singing The Award Goes To as her first TV performance in six years.
Strictly Come Dancing has been snubbed of a nomination for the first time in the show's 20-year history
Meanwhile, multi-platinum popstar Tom will play his brand new track Full Attention, in a TV exclusive.
Both performances will air during the awards ceremony on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Sunday 11 May at 7pm.
In addition, BAFTA has confirmed award-winning concert violinist and social media sensation Esther Abrami will be performing Apple Tree for the In Memoriam tribute.
Speaking about her performance, Jessie J said: 'I haven't sung on British television in years. What a way to come back, it's an honour. But who will the award go to, that's the question.'
Meanwhile, Tom added: 'It's a real honour to have been invited by such a prestigious event as BAFTA to perform in front of so many esteemed actors and creatives.'

PK Kemsley spotted ‘all over' ANOTHER Real Housewife at London bar after divorce from Dorit

RHOBH's PK Kemsley was spotted with another Real Housewife after his split from Dorit, and was "all over her" at a London bar. PK, 56, was caught getting close to a Real Housewives of London star during a night out in his native city on Wednesday, June 4. 7 7 An onlooker told The U.S. Sun, PK was "very flirty" with Amanda Cronin, 56, at celebrity hotspot The George in Mayfair. The pair were seen enjoying each other's company alongside Kyle Richards' estranged husband Mauricio Umansky. The source said: 'Amanda and PK were at The George together last night and it looked like a blossoming romance. "He was all over her like an excited puppy dog. "It was very flirty and they weren't scared of hiding it. "PK was absolutely loving the attention and didn't leave Amanda's side all night." Amanda, a luxury skincare entrepreneur and socialite, even shared a snap on Instagram from outside the exclusive members' bar. A second source said her RHOL co-stars are already buzzing about the liaison, with cameras currently rolling on the show's debut season. The insider added: "Her friends from the show are all calling each other." RHOBH star Dorit Kemsley's husband PK slammed for 'horrible' treatment of guest as couple 'heads for split' Amanda is the co-founder of Amanda Caroline Skincare, which sells serums and creams to fight the visible signs of aging. She currently has over 82,000 followers on Instagram - which is sure to skyrocket when RHOL drops later this year. The influencer lives in a £12 million Mayfair home. Her famous exes include George Michael's Wham! bandmate Andrew Ridgeley and energy mogul Mark Daeche, whom she landed a multi-million pound settlement from in 2019. It's hoped she will divulge details of their whirlwind romance when the show drops later this year. When contacted for comment, PK told The U.S. Sun: "There's no romance. Amanda and I are just friends." Amanda did not respond to a request for comment. DIFFICULT DIVORCE PK and Dorit announced their separation in May last year, nine years after getting married in 2015. She officially fired for divorce in April. Boy George's manager has since hired Britney Spears' former divorce lawyer to deal with his split, as exclusively revealed by The U.S. Sun. Court filings show she asked for sole legal and physical custody of her two children with her ex, along with spousal support. PK has hired attorney Marci Levine, a partner with Summers Levine, LLP, who previously represented Spears during her divorce from ex, Kevin Federline. Levine has been practicing law since 1990, including complex financial and custody matters. In PK's legal response, he is seeking joint custody of their two children. He also waived his right to spousal support and has asked the court to terminate Dorit's own request. Dorit admitted on the show she was bracing herself for a difficult divorce and filed a day after PK was pictured kissing reality star Shana Wall. Shana, 50, completed on CBS's The Amazing Race in 2007. They have not been seen together since. 7 7 7 7 7

BBC The One Show paused as Alex Jones pays emotional tribute to 'friend'

The One Show host Alex Jones paid tribute to a friend at the start of Thursday's show The One Show host Alex Jones has delivered a heartfelt homage to a "friend" one year after their tragic death. During tonight's (June 5) episode of the popular BBC show, Alex and her colleague Roman Kemp delved into the day's top stories from the UK and beyond. ‌ The presenting duo also chatted with Clare Balding about an exciting summer for women's sports, and caught up with Michael Sheen and Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville and Tom Cullen, who are joining forces again for the BBC drama The Gold. ‌ At the start of the episode, Alex shared a touching tribute to Dr Michael Mosley, who died at the age of 67 after going missing while on holiday on the Greek island of Symi last June. "It's been a year since our friend Dr Michael Mosley sadly died. He had a long history with this show and one of his sons, who's also a doctor, shared with us how he hopes to continue his father's legacy," she remarked, reports the Express. A special segment was then aired, with Michael's son, Dr Jack Mosley, explaining how he planned to follow in his father's footsteps. "My dad was so passionate about healthy living, and his infectious enthusiasm was part of what made him so popular," Jack reflected. Discussing the aftermath of his father's death, Jack continued: "It was such a sudden thing when dad did pass away. It has been difficult for my siblings and I, my mum. The only positive I can think to come out of it is it has brought us closer together as a family, and that's something that he would have liked to see." ‌ Michael's spouse Clare, also a medic by profession, conveyed how the outpouring of public sympathy has provided her immense solace during this hard time. She then took cameras into the cupboard where Michael used to record his podcast, Just One Thing, and revealed that she "can't quite bring herself" to take down the podcast's poster. ‌ Now, Jack has written a book on weight loss medication and food nutrition, called Food Noise. He has worked closely with his mum, who has created over 50 healthy recipes for the book. Jack concluded: "To continue on some of these really important messages about healthy eating and lifestyle changes is something that was very important to my dad. I do want to continue that mission." Back in the BBC studio, Alex reflected: "It's hard to believe it's been a year... Our thoughts, of course, are with the whole family at this time." Beyond his podcast, Michael gained recognition for his roles in several health-focused TV programmes, including Trust Me, I'm A Doctor, The Truth about Exercise, and Lose a Stone in 21 Days.
