Wynne Evans claimed Strictly Come Dancing wasn't a 'safe environment' as he appeared on This Morning to discuss his tumultuous time on the competition. Last month, the host confirmed he's leaving his role at BBC Radio Wales after the broadcaster "decided not to renew" his contract.
It was then announced he had been removed from his daytime show after apologising for making what he claimed to be an "inappropriate and unacceptable" comment during the Strictly Come Dancing live tour launch. The BBC announced he "is not returning to the mid-morning show on BBC Radio Wales and there are currently no plans to work with him."
The 53-year-old was filmed making a sexualised remark at the Birmingham Arena as the group huddled together for a picture on stage.
"My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise," he said in a statement at the time. The Go Compare star hit the headlines for multiple reasons during his time on the BBC dance show.
He was shown grabbing his professional partner Katya's waist before she pushed his hand away, but he later insisted it was a joke. Wynne then came under fire for using the term 'spit roast' to Janette Manrara during a Strictly photo call, but he later insisted it was directed at Jamie Borthwick and had nothing to do with Janette.
As a result of the shocking comment, he was axed from the Strictly tour. Not long after, a clip emerged of him sending a sex toy to his co-star Jamie, which both were heavily criticised for.
And now, following the Strictly scandal, Wynne appeared on This Morning to discuss his time on the show as he admitted he contemplated suicide.
The star admitted he wouldn't take part in the BBC competition if he had the chance again. He said: "It wasn't a safe environment for me".
When reflecting on the criticism he faced in the press, Wynne began to cry, admitting: "I told my girlfriend, 'I have to kill myself.'"
Earlier this year, Wynne issued a statement to say he was taking some time away. He said: "I've agreed with the BBC that I'll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing.
"I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection. Apologies to those I won't get to see at the remaining performances and I'm grateful to my fellow tour gang for all the amazing support."

Fiongal posted a message just one day before the crash marking the end of their trip: 'So, it's our last night in India and we've had a magical experience. Some mind-blowing things have happened. We are going to put all this together and create a vlog. It's my first ever vlog about the whole trip and we want to share it.' Of the 242 people onboard Air India Flight 171, at least 204 bodies have been recovered from the crash site near Ahmedabad Airport, a local police chief said. Part of the jet fell on top of the dining area of B.J. Medical College, killing at least five medical students and injuring almost 50. Miracolously, British national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, 40, who was onboard the flight says he survived the deadly crash. Tata Sons, which owns Air India, will offer around £86,000 to the families of each person who died in the Ahmedabad plane crash, the company said.
