Def Leppard brings rock back to Vegas for new residency: How to get tickets

Def Leppard brings rock back to Vegas for new residency: How to get tickets

USA Today4 days ago
Def Leppard fans are used to seeing the veteran band headlining stadiums and festivals with some amphitheaters dotting the itinerary.
But in February, the rock titans will commandeer the 4,100-capacity Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for a dozen shows.
'Def Leppard: Live at Caesars Palace The Las Vegas Residency' marks the third residency for the hitmakers behind air guitar classics 'Photograph,' 'Rock of Ages,' 'Hysteria,' 'Pour Some Sugar on Me' and dozens of other hits.
Def Leppard – singer Joe Elliott, guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, bassist Rick Savage and drummer Rick Allen – will play at 8 p.m. PT each night:
Presale tickets will be available to Citi card members at citientertainment.com from 1 p.m. ET July 22 through 1 a.m. ET July 25. A fan club presale starts at 1 p.m. ET July 22 and other presales through Live Nation and Caesars Rewards run from 1 p.m. ET July 24 to 1 a.m. ET July 25.
Tickets to the general public go on sale at 1 p.m. ET July 25 via ticketmaster.com/defleppard.
Elliott tells USA TODAY that the quintet is currently tossing out Vegas song suggestions daily. 'We haven't nailed the set yet, but it's percolating in a pot.'
Did Elliott share a bit more about what fans can expect at next year's Vegas shows? You betcha.
Question: This is your third residency in Las Vegas. Are there favorite places the band has discovered there over the years?
Joe Elliott: To be quite honest, I don't go out much. I'm the king of Netflix. Because I'm a singer, what will happen if I go out to eat? I'll hold court and talk all night! I also end up being the Pied Piper because as soon as anyone recognizes you, it gets a bit messy.
I saw the band at the Borgata in Atlantic City last month and heard you visited my favorite restaurant, Chef Vola's, the night before the show.
The food was outstanding and I had to do the treadmill even longer the day after. When I go to restaurants like that, I have to exercise even more. But they really looked after us and nobody came up to ask for a photo. They were like, we had Sinatra here, who are you guys? (laughs)
So you can go out unbothered sometimes?
I think in Vegas on a Sunday you might spot me with a baseball cap on trying to find a restaurant. I might play mini golf at the KISS place (at Rio Las Vegas). Gene (Simmons) told me I had to go last time and we did. We also saw 'Love' twice (the now-closed Beatles-themed Cirque du Soleil show). I went into the gift shop and bent my credit card to death on rugs and mugs and plates. It was total fandom.
Much like the Borgata, The Colosseum at Caesars will give the band a chance to play to a few thousand people at a time instead of a massive stadium.
I love Caesars. It's iconic and a great vibe. The only thing is the hazard of Vegas. It's the strangest place for residencies. It's the worst environment for a voice, bone dry. Step into the boudoir of any singer in Vegas and if they have half a brain, the bath is full of boiling water. That's another reason I don't go out too much, otherwise I'll get on stage and sound like Tiny Tim.
It's still early, but what can you say about the new show?
When we close down this current tour in October, that's the last time you're going to see this particular show. Vegas will have a new concept. We have the A, B and C song list – the crown jewels we have to play, the ones we hope other people like and some that will throw people off. Not to copy Taylor (Swift), but I do like the idea of an eras-type thing, maybe one song from every album. We have the acoustic breakdown that may stay, maybe with different songs. We have to keep some mystique about it, but it's going to be great.

Vince Gilligan's 'Breaking Bad' follow-up just got an unsettling first teaser — here's when it's coming to Apple TV Plus

Yesterday, we learned that "Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan's next show was going to drop a first look — today. Now, it's finally here ... we think. In yesterday's announcement, we got a countdown timer hinting at a 3 p.m. ET reveal. But today at 12:33 p.m. ET, the X (Twitter) account @itsSaulGoodman dropped what looked like a leaked teaser trailer for the upcoming Apple TV Plus sci-fi show starring "Better Call Saul" star Rhea Seehorn. The first teaser from Vince Gilligan's new series "Pluribus" starring Rhea Seehorn Nov 7th only on Apple 25, 2025 The big news that came along with that eerie teaser is that "Pluribus" is coming to Apple TV Plus on Nov. 7. Great news for those of us who have been waiting for this show since 2022. Here's the thing, though — we don't know if this is the first look that the streaming service promised. The countdown timer is still showing on YouTube as of this moment. So is this the first look we were expecting? Was all we were going to get an unsettling 30 seconds of a woman (presumably Seehorn) licking donuts and putting them back in a box? Or, is there still a longer trailer to come at 3 p.m. ET? If the answer to the last question is yes, we'll be sure to update this article accordingly with a reaction to the full trailer. If it's not, it seems like we'll need to wait a bit longer to get all the details on what could be the next great Apple TV Plus show. Jennifer Lopez Goes Completely Makeup-Free to Ring In Her 56th Birthday

The selfie Lopez shared on July 24 comes just days after she clarified that yes, her youthful glow is thanks to her own product line, JLo Beauty. Jennifer Lopez spent her 56th birthday in Antalya, Turkey, as her Up All Night tour continues—and posted, among other photos, a makeup-free selfie to celebrate. The selfie on July 24 came alongside a glamorous appearance with friends at a club that same night, where she danced next to a three-tiered pink and white cake in a curve-hugging, backless gown that plunged all the way down to her (very famous) backside. The carousel of images shared on Thursday included another selfie—this time in full glam—plus shots from her birthday bash, the multihyphenate holding bouquets of flowers, views from her hotel room, and, to close, a photo of a young Lopez celebrating, also with a pink and white birthday cake. 'What a gift you all are!' Lopez wrote alongside the photos. 'Thank you so much for all your beautiful birthday wishes.' Listen, if this is what 56 looks like—it's difficult not to be excited about it. Lopez looks better than ever as she rings in a new year of life, and is spending her summer touring in bold and daring looks everywhere from Spain to Italy to Poland, where she performs next on July 25 in Warsaw. The tour—which kicked off on July 8—wraps up on August 10. To mark her birthday season, Lopez dropped a new song called 'Birthday,' and after the Up All Night tour wraps next month, she'll have a moment to recalibrate before her residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace begins in Las Vegas in December. ('Birthday,' by the way, features lines like, 'Name on top of the cake, it's my birthday / I'ma make this famous ass shake, it's my birthday.') How does Lopez look so youthful at 56, as evidenced in her fresh-faced selfie? Well, to ask her, she is a devoted user of her own skincare brand, JLo Beauty, as she clarified in an Instagram video recently after a fan asked if she actually used her own line, which launched in 2021. 'You thought I came to play?' the entertainer joked on July 20, recording in what appears to be her bathroom. 'I've been diving into everything that you guys have been saying about JLo Beauty,' she said, before the question 'Do you use this every day or just when the cameras are on?' was asked. 'That's funny, because I'm standing in my actual bathroom right now,' Lopez said. 'No, I use it. I use it every day.' She added of the line, 'We want it to be like cashmere for your face, but make it clinically tested.' 'Your skin is something that you have to show up with every single day,' the performer added. Alluding to the line's more expensive price point, she continued, 'So, if there is a little bit of splurge in you, I would say do it on skincare, without a doubt.' She added that—as opposed to other celebrity skincare lines, some of which Lopez admitted aren't worth it—JLo Beauty is 'luxury skincare that is clinically tested and trust me, I don't cut corners.' Speaking to People about her brand, Lopez said of JLo Beauty, 'I think I've been thinking about it for about 20 years. Everywhere I went, I felt like everybody was always asking me about my skin. And as I got more mature, the questions came more often.' 'It was actually very nice, but I realized that it was almost like an obligation,' she added. 'Like, I had to put out a skincare line for everybody who was asking.' Per People, Lopez spent her 56th birthday not only looking incredible but staying somewhere incredible, too—the Regnum Carya resort in a cavern-style suite, its 'Cave' suite, carved out of solid stone, 'all dramatically lit to emphasize the natural architecture,' according to the outlet. The suite features a spa-like tub, separate eating area, 'and massive sliding doors that look out towards the property's lush greenery,' the publication continued, adding that a 'dazzling pool equipped with a swim-up bar is also offered at the cavern-style property.' During Lopez's July 23 show, the singer was surprised when her backup singers and dancers encouraged the crowd to sing 'Happy Birthday' to her, which Us Weekly reported left her 'emotional.' 'I don't like to give advice to anybody,' Lopez then said from the stage. 'I feel life is a journey, and we all have lessons to learn and are just doing the best we can as we go along the way.' She did note, however, that she had just 'one piece of advice' for her fans. 'Do what you love with people that you love,' she said. 'You can never go wrong. You will go [through] every day happy. I believe that the happiness that you have in your heart is directly tied to the people around you and to how free you can feel around the people around you. And I hope that each one of you can feel as happy and as free as you made me feel tonight.' 'I love you so much,' she concluded. Read the original article on InStyle Solve the daily Crossword

This acclaimed sci-fi comedy with 98% on Rotten Tomatoes just got canceled ahead of its season 4 finale

Bad news, "Resident Alien" fans: we'll be saying goodbye to Harry Vanderspeigle (Alan Tudyk) and co. very soon, as the sci-fi comedy will soon be coming to an end. Per a report from TV Insider, we now know that "Resident Alien" season 4 will be the show's final outing, with the upcoming season 4 finale (due to air on August 8) serving as the series finale. Speaking with TV Insider, "Resident Alien" creator and showrunner Chris Sheridan admitted that he "knew going into it [season 4] that this was likely going to be our final season," presumably because the show dodged cancellation last time out (landing a budget reduction and a move from SyFy to USA Network). At the very least, it sounds like Sheridan has made plans to wrap the show up in an acceptable way. "Creatively, that was exciting because I knew we could spend the time wrapping up some storylines and driving toward an ending," he told TV Insider.. "I'm so proud of how good Season 4 is and especially proud that we were able to finish as strongly as we did, with a finale that is probably my favorite episode of the series." And speaking of the final episode, Sheridan said this: "It gives "Resident Alien" a very satisfying ending while also leaving the door cracked open for any future this world may have. I can't wait for everyone to see it." This news all comes in spite of the fact that the show has been a hit with fans. "Resident Alien" currently holds an overall critics' rating of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, with a Popcornmeter score that's not far behind (87%). The series has also proven popular on Netflix; whenever a new season arrived, it usually appeared within the streamer's top 10 shows. Unfortunately, Deadline reports that "Resident Alien" season 4 has only been "a modest ratings performer" and "hasn't gotten much traction on NBCU streamer Peacock." If you're not familiar with the show, "Resident Alien" is a sci-fi comedy-drama about Harry, an alien who crash-lands on Earth. He decides to live among the humans in the small town of Patience, Colorado, and adopts the identity of the town's doctor, rather than following through on his original, secret mission. If "Resident Alien's" cancellation means you'll soon be on the hunt for a new binge-watch, check out our round-up of the best shows like "Resident Alien" for some streaming recommendations that could help you replace the outgoing show on your watchlist. "Resident Alien" season 4 continues to air Fridays at 10 pm ET on USA Network; the series is also available on Peacock. You can also stream "Resident Alien" seasons 1-3 on Netflix now.
