#VisitCzechia Showcases Diverse Luxury Offerings in Middle East Road Show 2025 - Middle East Business News and Information
The primary objective of the roadshow was to establish robust ties between Czech tourism and the Middle Eastern market. By showcasing the country's multifaceted offerings, particularly emphasizing spa and wellness retreats, offbeat adventures as well as other leisure regions beyond Pargue, the event aimed to encourage a greater influx of Middle Eastern tourists to explore the wonders of Czechia. The destination presentations were followed by B2B meetings and a networking dinner with travel agents which facilitated dialogues and relationship-building opportunities. The roadshow hosted a delegation comprising of seven partners representing a spectrum of entities, including DMC's, hotels, spa resorts and medical tourism sectors from Czechia. The roadshow attracted over 175 travel agents across Doha, Kuwait City, and Muscat.
Notably, travel from the Middle Eastern countries to Czechia has surged significantly, showcasing a year-on-year increase of 20.8% compared to the previous year. In 2024, Czechia warmly welcomed over sixty thousand travellers from the Middle East, involving an average stay duration of 4.20 days.

From Egypt's revived markets to Iran's vibrant domes, these standout projects offer fresh visions of culture and community. Revitalisation of Historic Esna, Egypt Once overlooked in Upper Egypt, Esna is now buzzing with new life thanks to a revitalisation project by Takween Integrated Community Development. This initiative addresses cultural tourism challenges in Upper Egypt, focusing on inclusive growth and protecting the city's rich heritage. Fifteen architecturally significant sites have been restored, markets have been upgraded, and historic buildings given fresh purpose. Local materials and traditional techniques are at the core, while over 430 local participants, many of whom are women, are now empowered to shape Esna's future. Majara Complex and Community Redevelopment, Hormuz Island, Iran Known as the 'rainbow island' for its multicoloured mountains, Hormuz was once a vital trading port before conflict took its toll. Now, the Majara Complex by ZAV Architects is rewriting its story. Majara Residence offers comfortable tourist and art/design residency accommodation, along with all-community spaces like a public library, oral history studios, and a recycling centre. In 2024, per capita consumption stood at 2.2 grams, compared to 2.5 grams in 2010, reflecting sustained consumer interest in gold as an asset. China and India: Modest Per Capita Figures Despite Market Size While China and India are among the world's largest gold markets by total volume, their per capita consumption remained relatively modest. India recorded 0.6 grams per person in 2024, a figure consistent with its long-term average. In mainland China, consumption also held steady at 0.6 grams in 2024.
