A BODY has tragically been found in the search for a missing woman who got into difficulty in a reservoir.
Emergency services were called to Strinesdale Reservoir, in Greater Manchester, at around 4pm yesterday.

A body was recovered at 6.25pm yesterday
A woman was reported getting into difficulty in the water and a major search was launched, reported the MEN.
Waterworks Road was cordoned off and specialist divers scoured the area.
A water incident unit was also recruited from the fire service to assist.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed a body was sadly recovered at around 6.25pm yesterday.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Emergency services responded to an incident at Strinesdale Reservoir at around 4:50pm yesterday (Sunday 17 August 2025) after reports of a woman getting into difficulty in the water.
"Sadly, the body of a woman was recovered.
"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death."

Classic Ford Sierra Cosworth stolen from near Newport

The silver Ford Sierra Cosworth was said to have been taken from an address near Newport after two men arranged to view it on April 12, 2024. Gwent Police have now renewed their appeal for information about the theft. The first man, who identified himself as Ryan Marsh on social media, is described as white, in his 40s, around 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build, with short dark brown hair. The second man is described as white, in his 50s, around 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build, and bald. He did not provide his name to the victim. Both men are believed to be from the Preston or Manchester areas. A police spokesperson said: "If you recognise them, contact us via our website, call us on 101 or send us a direct message on Facebook or X, quoting log reference 2400121243. "You can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111 with information or online."
