A set of crease-preventing spiral hair ties that not only give your pony that delightful ~oomph~ to elevate it, but stay locked in place. They're also waterproof, which makes them great for exercise (as much as we all love a soggy hair tie on our wrist post-workout 🫠).

A dainty patterned stoneware mug to add a rustic, cozy ambience to your morning cuppa even when you are staring down a to-do list taller than you are on the other side of it.

A set of family-friendly pastel "unbreakable" deep plates perfect for anyone who needs to be practical, but doesn't want to sacrifice on prettiness. These chic plates are unexpectedly lightweight, making them easier for kids to use, but are still dishwasher safe and microwave safe for up to three minutes.
Oxo's new compact Brew Rapid Brewer, aka the answer to any money-conscious coffee lover's prayers — this version is not only cheaper and more portable than comparable models on the market, but WAY faster making cold brew without compromising on flavor. A couple transformed a simple shed into a cozy library. The 'escape from reality' cost more than $18,000.
Jess Ciesla discovered her love for reading in 2022. Ciesla wasn't always a voracious reader. Instead, the Virginia local picked up the hobby after giving birth to her daughter. "I was struggling with postpartum depression, and we don't live around a lot of family," she said. "The first book I read was 'Verity' by Colleen Hoover, and it kind of took over. Reading became something that I really love to do." She quickly ran out of space to store her growing book collection. Then, inspiration struck. Ciesla had been watching videos from @amystinylibrary on TikTok and realized she could follow in the creator's footsteps to make her own library shed. "I half jokingly asked my fiancé how many likes I would need on a TikTok to get my own," she told Business Insider. "He played along and said 100,000. He would've got me one regardless." "I posted the video and it doubled the goal in less than 24 hours, so we just went for it," she added. Ciesla and her fiancé had no building experience, so they purchased a premade shed in early May. The couple visited local businesses that sell Amish-built sheds and found one on clearance for $13,000. The 12-by-16-foot structure had a weatherproof door, weatherproof windows, and an electrical panel already installed. By May 31, the shed had been delivered to their home, and renovations had begun. The shed needed insulation and electricity, among other things. Robinson's best friend is an electrician with experience in construction, so he helped the couple through their renovation journey. Here's a breakdown of what they added to the structure and what each part cost: Electricity (indoors and out): $250 Insulation materials: $320 Rented insulation blower: $250 Shiplap for the walls and ceiling: $540 Cooling and warming window unit: $500 Floor panels: $393 Trim: $50 Caulk: $17 Building bookshelves proved to be the most difficult part of the renovations. Robinson and his friend had never built bookshelves, Ciesla said, and the process was more difficult than they'd initially imagined. They spent a full day constructing the shelves on the shed's ground before securing them to the wall the next day. "I think they did a great job," she said, adding that the bookshelves cost $900. Eventually, it was time to paint. Ciesla wanted the space to feel feminine, so she chose a vibrant pink color to paint the walls. Paint supplies cost the couple $145. Ciesla and her fiancé didn't set a budget for this project. They spent about $18,380. Additional costs included a $140 chandelier and $1,875 worth of "fun stuff," like furniture and decor. "It was a little surprising at the end how much we paid," she said. "We didn't think the bookshelves would be that much. But everything else, we were pretty much expecting." The process was also relatively quick. Though it spanned three months, Robinson and his friend only worked on the space during two weekends and one extra day. Once it was time to decorate, Ciesla knew she wanted her library to feel cozy and feminine. She complemented the space's pink walls and glass chandelier with rose vines, floral curtains, and more. When people see the space, they immediately want to know where Ciesla got her chair. The $708 piece comes from Ashley Furniture, though Ciesla bought it from the online retailer Luna to save money. "It is so comfortable," she said of the cushioned seat. "It rocks, it swivels, it glides, and it reclines. It's the perfect chair." The project was technically finished on July 15, but Ciesla is still adding final touches. Ciesla describes her library as an "escape from reality." Ciesla, a budding content creator, has gained over 32,000 TikTok followers who have watched her create this library. One of her most viral videos about the space has 5.9 million views. Those viewers will be happy to know she plans to keep going. In the coming months, Ciesla hopes to add a porch, a decorated walkway outside, landscaping, and blinds. In the meantime, though, she's enjoying every second she gets to spend inside. "As a mom and someone who has a loud brain that never really turns off, it's so grounding to have a little escape from reality where I can do something I genuinely love," Ciesla said. "It's honestly not just about the books," she added. "It's about having a space where I can reconnect with myself and breathe. Every person deserves to have a place like that."

Bride creates singles list for dateless wedding guests — but some call the gesture humiliating: ‘I'd take back my gift'
The sheet hit the fan thanks to this bride's matchmaking vibes. Jessica Branda's sweet effort toward helping folks find love at her wedding hit a sour note with social media naysayers, who proclaimed that plastering pics of her solo guests on a 'singles sheet' was 'humiliating' and a singleton's 'worst nightmare.' But Branda tells The Post she has 'no regrets' about the controversial attempt to pair up her unattached pals. 4 Newlywed Jessica Branda tells The Post she doesn't regret creating a 'singles sheet' of her solo wedding guests because it was meant to be a fun party game. Courtesy Jessica Branda 4 The New Jersey bride tells The Post that the controversial handout was a 'hit' at her wedding. TikTok / @jessicabrandaa 'Everyone online saying it's a form of humiliation is taking it way too far,' Branda, 27, a publicist, from northern New Jersey, insisted. 'I guess it could be embarrassing if you're embarrassed about being single — but my friends thought it was hilarious.' Viral visuals of the brunette's singles sheet, which she and a chum created on Canva, scored over one million TikTok views from a mixed audience rife with critics of the stunt. But Branda, who tied the knot with high school sweetheart, Louis, on June 30, says it was merely a 'silly' gesture meant to 'spice up' her reception. 'It was way better than doing a singles table at the wedding,' said the newlywed. 'That can be so awkward.' 4 Branda believed making the singles sheet would be a fun alternative to a 'singles table.' Drobot Dean – Gripes from internet trolls aside, the forward-thinking bride may be on to something. Where dating apps and stale setups have failed, hopeless romantics on the hunt for that special someone are increasingly embracing more unconventional mating methods — especially partnerless people in and around NYC, one of the 'worst' cities for singles. Be it rolling around Whole Foods Market in Tribeca, hoping to bump shopping carts with a man in finance (6'5', blue eyes), or being pitched to a room full of strangers at a PowerPoint speed dating event, most guys and gals on the market are open to potential meet-cutes however they come. Branda says the loved ones featured on her singles sheet, including her groom's grandparents, were all good sports. 'I know my friends and they're not too sensitive, but after the video blew up on social media, I reached out to several people on the list like, 'Are you OK?,' 'Did you feel embarrassed?'' Branda tells The Post. 'But everyone reassured me that they didn't take it the wrong way, and they thought it was super funny.' Digital detractors, however, were anything but amused. 4 Outraged faultfinders online blasted Branda's singles sheet as 'humiliating' and a 'nightmare,' with many threatening to leave a wedding if they'd been featured on the list. Carlos David – 'If I went to a wedding and saw myself on one of these, I'd take back my gift,' swore a killjoy commenter. 'I would absolutely hate this as a single person,' another spat. 'No sorry, this is giving humiliation,' wrote an equally unimpressed hater, in part. 'I'd walk out.' But Branda says she and her wedding bash attendees all enjoyed a good laugh — even though none of her single guests found their match. 'No one is dating, no one hooked up that I know of,' she chuckled. 'It was just a funny little game that everyone at the wedding thought was positive.'

Owner Asks Internet Why Dog Is 'So Sneaky,' What They Capture Goes Viral
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A "terrifying" dog sneaking up on his owner has captivated—and spooked—internet viewers. A dog owner, Nicole, who uses the TikTok tag @nicocohoh0, posted a video of her pet's unusual—and slightly scary—behavior. The clip has received over 572,000 likes and more than 2.8 million views on the platform. Overlaying the footage, Nicole wrote: "Can someone explain to me why my dog is so sneaky?" In the caption, she added: "It's actually a little terrifying …" The video shows the blond dog, Milo, peeking around the side of a door frame, staring intently at their owner, and sticking one leg out. TikTok users were quick to respond to the peculiar scene. "Have you heard of skinwalkers?" asked Brandon Vega. "He looks like the skinwalker dog," posted Harper. "My girl does this too! She drops a Frisbee, runs behind a bush and peeks. Such a little weirdo," shared one user. "The leg is fryyying me," added another. Stock image: A golden retriever peeks from behind the door. Stock image: A golden retriever peeks from behind the door. chendongshan/iStock / Getty Images Plus What Are Skinwalkers? Experts at HowStuffWorks say that, in Navajo (Diné) folklore, a skinwalker is an evil witch who can transform into, possess, or disguise themselves as an animal. Known as yee naaldlooshii—meaning "with it, he goes on all fours"—skinwalkers are often said to take the form of coyotes, wolves, foxes, or bears, though they can appear as any animal. Skinwalkers are believed to possess supernatural powers, including extreme speed, mimicry, mind control, and the ability to place curses. In animal form, their eyes may glow red when illuminated, adding to their fearsome reputation. More TikTok Reactions "I wasn't scared until I saw how long he is," posted user Demi. "We had a Doberman who did this, she used to hide behind the garage and sneak around when she'd hear my husband coming. He used to try to sneak down to her, but he never caught her out. She'd jump out and come with the tail wagging and jump up on him," commented Angela. "The chances of being stalked by your own golden retriever are low, but never zero," added Kara. "You sure he isn't hunting you," asked another user. Newsweek reached out to @nicocohoh0 for comment via TikTok. We could not verify the details of the case.
