MasterChef in more chaos as it's replaced in schedules just weeks into new series
The beleaguered BBC has come under fire from accusers of Gregg Wallace for allowing the latest series to be aired, despite 45 claims against the axed host being upheld in a recent report.

And it's lost a substantial number of viewers compared with last year's series, with 1.96million tuning into the first episode — down from 2.7m for last year's launch show.
The current series is slated to air on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week, but on Aug 22 it is being dropped in favour of the Women's Rugby World Cup.
The BBC is yet to confirm when the postponed episode will be aired.
England is hosting the 10th edition of the tournament, which kicks off on Aug 22 and runs until September 27.
The home nation will play in the first game against the USA, while reigning champions New Zealand open their account against Spain on the 24th.
Despite under-fire hosts Wallace and John Torode - who was axed after an accusation he used a racist term was upheld, despite his strong denial - being edited down in the new series, claimants feel let down by the Corporation.
A source told the Mirror: 'There is a feeling the complainants have been ignored and cast aside. It's the BBC burying their head in the sand all over again. There is a lot and lot of anger over this. WhatsApp groups are blowing up.'
The first three episodes were released on iPlayer on Wednesday morning, and was then broadcast on BBC One later that evening at 8pm.
Wallace was fired after multiple complaints were upheld, including his use of inappropriate sexual language.
Torode was then also sacked after it was claimed he had used a racist term.
BBC bosses decided to show the latest series because the amateur chefs 'gave their heart and soul' to it.
Broadcast union Bectu said showing the episodes could be 'triggering' for people who had complaints upheld.
Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy also said this week she would not be watching.
Wallace, furious at his treatment by the BBC, previously revealed he would not be tuning in.
Asked by The Sun if he will watch it, he said: 'No, no, no, no, never. I'm hurt.
"I don't want anything to do with telly. I don't want anything to do with the BBC."
Gregg Wallace - MasterChef scandal in Brief
GREGG Wallace has stepped down from his MasterChef hosting role after a probe into alleged inappropriate behaviour. But what's the situation?
Regular MasterChef host Gregg Wallace is currently the subject of a probe after an investigation was launched into his alleged misconduct over a number of years.
Gregg has been accused of making sexual remarks to 13 colleagues including Beeb anchor Kirsty Wark - accusations he denies.
The 60-year-old has now stepped away from the BBC show while historical misconduct allegations against him are investigated.
Yet the former greengrocer spoke out on social media to blast the "women of a certain age" who he claimed were behind the allegations.
The cooking show's production company, Banijay UK, has said law firm Lewis Silkin would lead the investigation into Wallace's alleged misconduct.

BBC star gags on live TV after revealing surprising food ‘phobia'
A BBC star left a live TV panel stunned after gagging when discussing his bizarre food 'phobia'. Death in Paradise star Ralf Little left BBC's Saturday Kitchen host Matt Tebbutt gobsmacked after his shock admission. The 45-year-old, who has also starred in hit shows like The Royle Family and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, took a turn for the worse after the conversation went on to tomatoes. Asked to nominate his 'food hell', Ralf said: 'Tomatoes.. That's it. Don't bring them anywhere near me. 'I am very, very strange with it. I can eat a pizza very happily with it if there's a tomato sauce, but if there's a slice of a tomato pizza…' Before he could even finish his sentence, he began to gag, adding: 'I can't, I can't. Get it away from me. 'There's something about a lump of tomato that's just…' As if the first time wasn't bad enough, Ralf can then be heard gagging again before joking: 'I'll talk to my therapist about it.' The 45-year-old was asked to nominate his food 'phobia' in a game of Food Heaven or Food Hell. Viewers are asked to vote between the two options the guests give, and then at the end of the episode the celebrity has to eat what the fans decide. Although Saturday Kitchen host Tebbutt appeared to have his hands full hosting today's show, the presenter chef could be even busier if he decides to take over from the recently axed Gregg Wallace and John Torode on MasterChef. The BBC has been plagued by controversy over the past couple of years following 83 misconduct allegations that were lodged against Wallace, before Torode faced an allegation of racism. Following the recent exit of both presenters after an inquiry was published about their misconduct, both Tebbutt and fellow chef Andi Oliver have been highlighted as potential candidates for the vacant positions. Tebbutt is a British chef and food presenter best known for presenting Channel 4's Food Unwrapped and Drop Down Menu, and the Good Food channel's Market Kitchen. He ran a restaurant called The Foxhunter for many years with his wife, but gave it up to focus on his TV career. Previously, he also presented Saturday Kitchen while regular host James Martin was away but then became the main presenter. View More » Saturday Kitchen is available to watch on BBC. Got a story? BBC Casualty's Sammy T Dobson 'hounded' with messages from fans after 'brutal' scenes
Casualty's Sammy T. Dobson, who plays Doctor Nicole Piper has opened up on the 'intense' reaction she faced from viewers after her brutal onscreen breakup in the BBC drama Casualty fans were left gobsmacked at the end of the last series, when Doctor Nicole Piper (Sammy T. Dobson) broke up with her girlfriend, Ngozi Okoye (Adesuwa Oni), after she revealed she was an alcoholic. Nicole later asked Ngozi to move out as a result, and months later, she carried on to chastise her former partner for her drinking. Now, Casualty 's Nicole actor, Sammy, has opened up on the 'intense' messages she got from fans after the brutal scenes - and the doubts she had about her character behaving how she did. It comes after one huge TV star looks completely unrecognisable as she reveals latest facelift "It was such a rough moment as an actor to get the script where Ngozi told Nicole she was an alcoholic and she said, 'Get out the house and take your kid with you,'" Sammy told InsideSoap. I went to the producers and said, 'I don't think Nicole would do that.' But then they told me about this box set, and with context, you understand where it came from." "I got over 100 messages that night from people saying, 'Why's she done that?' It was really intense, and I just felt awful. That scene was so brutal. But there is a good reason…" Sammy was cast in the hit BBC hospital show in 2024 - although she accidentally revealed her announcement before the show itself... "I put a thing on Instagram. It was literally a picture of my face, and you could just see the green top of my scrubs. It was just a little nod to it," she explained. "And I said, 'I've got really exciting news tomorrow that I've sat on for ages and I can't wait to share it'. And a friend of mine messaged me saying, 'Oh my God, are you a new doctor in Casualty?'" she revealed. The character has been involved in a number of hard-hitting storylines since joining the show, including one in which she became a surrogate mum for her friend, Rosie, who was paralysed after the pair were in a car crash. Her character quickly returned to work after the birth, and later experienced postpartum psychosis. Eventually, her colleagues, including her partner at the time, Ngozi, spotted the signs of PP and knew immediately that Nicole needed urgent help. In her life outside the soap, Sammy was involved in a horrific car crash in 2012, which ripped off one eyelid, broke her thigh bone in two, left her face 'looking like mincemeat', put her in a wheelchair for three months and left her fearing it was the end of her career. Speaking of the incident before joining the show, Sammy told The Mirror: 'Life is so utterly unpredictable. I have come full circle! It felt so bizarre that I had lost my career because of a car accident and then I was being brought in as a character who'd had one. "When they initially told me, 'you've been in a car crash', my instant reaction was, 'how did you know?' But they were talking about my character, Nicole, rather than me!'
