Oklahoma Sooners add transfer portal defensive tackle
Lolohea joins the Sooners after spending one season at Utah State in 2024. The former three-star prospect originally committed to Oklahoma State as a part of the 2023 recruiting class and redshirted that season with the Cowboys. He also held offers from SMU, Texas Tech, San Diego State, and North Texas.

He played just under 150 snaps for the Aggies in 2024 under Oklahoma linebackers coach Nate Dreiling. Dreiling was the interim head coach and defensive coordinator for Utah State last season. In eight games, Lolohea recorded 10 total tackles and tackle for loss. Pro Football Focus credited him with two total pressures.
His season high snap count last season came against Washington State, so Oklahoma offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle and quarterback John Mateer. From Dreiling's experience coaching Lolohea and the new Sooners offensive tandem's experience playing against him, Oklahoma is well acquainted with what the nose tackle out of Euless Trinity brings to the table.
Lolohea is a legit nose tackle, coming to the Sooners at 6-foot-3 and 330 pounds.
He'll join a defensive tackle depth chart that's one of the deepest positions on the roster. However veterans Damonic Williams and Gracen Halton will likely be off for the NFL after this season, making Lolohea's addition vital to the Sooners now and in the future.

Horn was in motion before the snap and then snuck underneath, and quarterback Andy Dalton found him for an easy walk into the endzone. While it was not a typical go-ball that the speedy Horn should see plenty of this season, it was a play that Colorado ran a ton with Horn. Get him the ball in space and let his open-field ability do the rest. Panthers head coach Dave Canales has loved what he has seen from the rookie receiver so far. "I think it's the energy he plays with," said Canales to "He doesn't quit on routes, he continues after the normal part of the protection he can count on, he continues to find space and play fast, and, it's a credit to his fitness, but it's also a credit to just the energy that he puts out there, that you want to throw to him." While sixth-round picks are far from guaranteed to make the final 53-man roster, Horn's performances through the offseason have made it almost a forgone conclusion that he makes Carolina's final group. Now that it's August, the NBA has entered the driest part of its calendar. The next two months forecast a desert as everybody in the league heads to vacation. The offseason is over and rosters are set. Before teams start the 2025-26 season marathon, they'll enjoy some downtime. For the Oklahoma City Thunder, that includes parading around their NBA championship. They had one of the greatest seasons ever with a historic 68-14 regular-season campaign. That dominance translated in the playoffs to a Larry O'Brien trophy. Now that they won a ring, Thunder players have scattered across the globe to celebrate with their hometowns. Isaiah Hartenstein did that when he went back to Germany. He kicked off his inaugural "IHart Fest!" weekend event. It included a basketball clinic, dunk contest and tournament. Hartenstein also brought home the Larry O'Brien trophy. It's always fun to follow the journey of the NBA champion. Players go back to their friends and family to flex the prestigious trophy. The 27-year-old previously talked about being excited to return to Germany with it. The Thunder couldn't have won a championship without Hartenstein. He was a key player in their title run. He enjoyed a career season with 11.2 points and 10.7 rebounds. The double-double machine was mostly a starter in OKC's playoffs. Hartenstein hopes for similar success in his second season on the Thunder. They will enter the 2025-26 season as a popular pick to repeat as NBA champions. If anybody can pull that off, it's one of the greatest teams ever running it back with mostly the same roster. See what Sonny Dykes had to say about UNC's opener against UNC We are under a month away from kickoff for the college football season, and for the North Carolina Tar Heels, they are ushering in a new era under Bill Belichick. The Tar Heels will play host to TCU on Labor Day in primetime as they are the standalone game for ESPN. It will be a huge game for both programs as Chapel Hill should be electric for the game. But as we continue to countdown the days, TCU head coach Sonny Dykes had a comment on the opener. Dykes spoke at the Texas High School Coaches Convention recently, calling the opener against UNC 'interesting'. "We have an interesting opener against North Carolina on Labor Day," Dykes said. "That will be a big challenge for us getting ready for a tough road game against an opponent that's obviously got a pretty impressive resume when it comes to coaching in Bill Belichick. Instead, he was praising the head coach in his first year at the college level. It's going to be a tough challenge for the Tar Heels as TCU is no slouch.
