4 suspects sought in robbery of senior citizen on Chicago train last month
Chicago police are asking for the public's help with identifying four suspects in connection to a robbery of a senior citizen onboard a CTA Red Line train last month.
The robbery happened around 8 p.m. on Feb. 12 in the 4600 block of North Broadway in the Uptown neighborhood.
Police said the victim was on the train when he was approached by the suspects, who took his cell phone. When he tried to get it back, he was beaten by the group.
The suspects were described as two African American men and two women. Surveillance cameras captured one of the men wearing a purple hoodie and a black jacket with yellow lettering. The other was wearing a black jacket, a black hoodie, and wearing sunglasses.
One of the women was wearing a green coat with fur on the hood. The second woman was wearing a black coat.
Police are advising riders to always be aware of their surroundings, report suspicious activity, and never pursue an assailant.

LENOIR, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – We are learning more about the man who died in the Catawba County mass shooting from neighbors and a past coworker. Shawn Hood was killed when someone opened fire at a house party in Catawba County, while 11 other people were injured. On Hood's driveway Monday, we found a project he was finishing up. Several neighbors we spoke with said he kept to himself. One neighbor we spoke with did not wish to be identified. The neighbor said at one point Hood lived in a home on Idlewood St. in Lenoir with his wife and son, but the couple later divorced. Other neighbors we spoke with didn't even know that Hood died this weekend. No neighbor seemed to know why he was at that party. MORE | 'I can't believe it,' the neighbor said. 'What was the 58-year-old doing with a bunch of teenagers? I don't know.' A former coworker we spoke with said during COVID they worked from home, reviewing loans for the Small Business Administration. When their contracts ended last year, she said they did loan reviews for small businesses following Hurricane Helene through a nonprofit. She adds that Hood played baseball and gave lessons in the community – and that he was a nice guy who did not deserve to be murdered. 'It has nothing to do with gun violence,' the neighbor said. 'It had to do with a vengeance attitude. Stupid kid with guns. The guns didn't kill the people, the people killed the people.' Reality star and convicted fraudster Todd Chrisley opened up about his emotional release from prison and the reaction of his fellow inmates — just moments after taking a swipe at CNN during a press conference Friday. 'When I left that day, there was only 317 men at our camp, but they were lined up shouting when I was walking out and they were saying 'Dont forget us, don't forget us' and my commitment is to them that I will never forget them,' Chrisley, 56, told reporters in Nashville alongside his daughter Savannah. The reality star, who was released from federal prison on Wednesday night alongside his wife, Julie Chrisley, after President Trump announced plans to pardon the couple, emphasized systemic issues he witnessed firsthand at the FPC Pensacola lockup in Florida. 'Anyone who says it's a fair shake, it's not. I dealt with young African American males in the prison that I was in who were not treated the same. They were denied programming. They were denied access to certain things. I was not denied that, but we know why I wasn't denied,' Todd Chrisley said.
