Perth Now20-05-2025

Jessica Simpson has learned "a lot" from her teenage daughter.
The 44-year-old fashion designer - who has Maxwell, 13, Ace, 11, and Birdie, five - has revealed that her teenage daughter teaches her a surprising amount and that she's "an old soul".
Speaking to 'Extra', Jessica shared: "I feel like she's been a teenager for a while. She's an old soul.
"I learn a lot from Maxwell. I don't know if she's just my firstborn or what, but she's just a well of depth - like, she's so amazing."
Maxwell recently celebrated her 13th birthday in Paris and she displayed her ever-increasing knowledge of perfumes during the trip to the French capital.
The designer - who launched The Jessica Simpson Collection back in 2005 - said: "She knew more about Paris than my mom and I. So, you know, TikTok, she knew everywhere to go.
"Like, we had all these places to go, and she discovered, like, she has the nose. Like, she loves perfume, so going to a perfumery a private perfumery creating our own perfume … She'll say, 'No, for the Maxwell Johnson Collection.'"
Meanwhile, Jessica previously admitted to feeling inspired by Y2K-era fashion.
The pop singer shot to stardom around the turn of the millennium, and Jessica revealed that she's still a huge fan of the Y2K-era style.
Speaking to People in 2023, Jessica explained: "I feel like I've never really left that style."
Jessica admits that some of her staple fashion choices belong to the Y2K era.
The 'I Wanna Love You Forever' hitmaker - who has achieved significant success with her fashion label - explained: "I always go back to a platform when it comes to a shoe. I have my staples and they end up being a little Y2K-[inspired]."
Jessica co-founded her eponymous fashion line with her mom Tina, and the singer hailed her mom as a "fashion icon".
The singer-turned-designer - who recently returned to the music business with 'Nashville Canyon, Part 1', her new EP - added: "She prayed for me in her belly and put all of her love and blessings into my entire existence."

Brad Pitt craved the approval of motorsport fans while filming F1. The 61-year-old actor plays a Formula One driver in the new racing film, and Brad admits that having the support of sports fans means "everything" to him. He told 'Extra': "If we didn't pass their bar, than we were dead, you know? "And to get that kind of, I don't know, response means a lot to us, because we have, again, so much respect for these drivers, for this sport, for everyone, the teams, everything they put into it. They made the movie too. They're a big part of the film." Brad was always confident that the Joseph Kosinski-directed movie would win over the sceptics. He explained: "I felt pretty confident in what we have. "But then when the whole race movement comes in it's such a juggernaut of a is really awe-inspiring, and then to get on the track with 100,000 fans, I was a little bit nervous. "Actually, no, it was a high. Like, sitting waiting it was, once you get going, it's a high. It's a high." Brad has enjoyed a hugely successful career in the movie business, starring in films such as The Big Short, Ocean's Eleven, and Troy. And he admits that F1 has helped to reinvigorate him. Brad said: "Doing this this long and to find something that was almost like starting over, it was so full of passion and it gave me a feeling like I've never had before. It was just sublime. I'm pretty grateful for Joe Kosinski for coming up with this."

Ciara gets daughter to 'pull back' on raunchy dance moves

Ciara had to get her daughter to "pull back" on copying her raunchy dance moves. The 39-year-old singer - who has Future, 10, with former partner Future, and Sienna, seven, Win, four, and Amora, two, with husband Russell Wilson - loves the fact her eldest girl always wants to "twin" with her but admitted she is concerned the youngster had taken her desire to be like her mom a little too far. She told Extra: 'Sisi, she likes to roll with me. She likes to twin with me. She kind of likes everything that I do. "She went on tour with me and Missy and Busta last summer. She got to see Mommy in a different light than she's seen me, like, full-in tour rollout, and I was like, she's copying a few, just a couple too many moves of mine. I'm like, 'Let's pull that back.'... Like, 'Ride,' I'm like, 'Wait, wait.' That's one of her favourite songs. I'm like, 'Is this good or is this not good?' 'She loves me so much and looks up to me so much that it's so sweet, and she's the best. She's such a little star!' But the Goodies hitmaker hoped she sets a good example to Sienna with her own self-confidence. She said: "I want for her to know that she's never limited by her gender, nor the colour of her skin, and when she sees me, she gets to know, I can do what I believe I can do if I simply believe in myself. I hope that's what she understands for mommy's journey, and I also want to empower her to be her." Ciara is proud of her Ecstasy remix with Normani and Teyana Taylor because she sees them as "the future". She gushed: 'To see girls come together is always special and important to me, and I think TT and Normani, they are the future. I just love the power of us three women coming together and shining a light on each other.' And Ciara teased her upcoming album CiCi will offer a "lot of fun stuff" for fans. She said: "I have a lot of fun stuff in store for my fans. I have to say, I'm really excitd about another collaboration on my project, my song that was produced by Jazze Pha. We haven't done a song together in almost like 18 years, maybe 17 or so, but Latto is also on that record, so it's a lot of A-Town love."
