Egypt Launches Train Service to Support Sudanese Voluntary Repatriation

H-Tayea
Egypt has launched a dedicated train service to support the voluntary return of Sudanese citizens currently residing in the country. The train will depart from Ramses Station in Cairo, heading to Aswan, where further arrangements will be made to assist Sudanese nationals returning home. This humanitarian initiative is part of Egypt's ongoing support for the Sudanese people and the strong historical bond between the two nations of the Nile Valley.
The Egyptian National Railways Authority has confirmed that a special, air-conditioned third-class train, Train No. 1940, will depart from Cairo on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM and arrive at the High Dam Station in Aswan by 11:40 PM. To ensure convenience and comfort, the train will include an additional luggage carriage specifically for passengers' personal belongings.
The return journey for regular passengers will operate as Train No. 1945, departing Aswan on Tuesday, July 29, at 8:30 PM, and arriving in Cairo at 9:25 AM the following day.
This effort was launched under the directives of Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, who instructed railway authorities to provide all necessary logistical and service support. The goal is to guarantee a safe, organized, and dignified journey for Sudanese citizens returning home.
The Egyptian government emphasized that this is more than a transportation effort—it reflects deep solidarity with the Sudanese people during a time of hardship, and a continuation of Egypt's role as a regional partner offering real, on-the-ground support to neighboring nations in crisis.

Al-Azhar Condemns Occupation's Decision to Seize Gaza's Lands

Mohamed Mandour Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif strongly condemns, in the firmest terms, the brutal occupation's decision to seize and fully annex the lands of the Gaza Strip. This unjust measure is irrefutable evidence that the occupation's aim is to erase Palestine from existence, obliterate its presence from the world map, and swallow what remains of its land through the force of arms and state-sponsored terrorism. Al-Azhar stresses that this unjust decision is a permanent stain of disgrace on the forehead of international institutions that have failed to confront such criminality. It calls for an end to the occupation's tragic policies, which are built on arrogance and violence, showing contempt for peoples, trampling on all international charters, laws, and UN resolutions, and persisting in committing more massacres and violations against the Palestinian people, the rightful owners of the land. Al-Azhar calls for the urgent mobilization of all Arab, Islamic, and international efforts, and the intensification of all forms of political, diplomatic, and legal pressure, to put an end to this unprecedented historic tragedy. It urges the world to stop this recklessness, unknown in the history of humanity, and to stand firmly against the occupier's attempts to drag the entire region into chaos and collapse. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results
