Just yesterday, Noel, 58, was seen taking the Tube to his band's rehearsals in London.
It was a far cry from his rock 'n' roll star brother Liam's arrival as cameras clamoured to get a shot of him through the window of a car.
He, too, looked to have loaded up on cough syrup and Lockets, presumably a bid to protect his trademark raspy vocals.
It was Liam who had earlier revealed the Gallagher brothers would be blowing off the cobwebs and belting out their classic tunes ahead of their hotly-anticipated summer stadium shows.

Noel and Liam Gallagher had the Tom of the lives at Ireland's ‘King of Country' shows

'None of us ever thought then that the two gossons would go on to become superstars with Oasis' A son of Ireland's 'King of Country' Big Tom McBride recalled Noel and Liam Gallagher watching his father perform in Manchester when they were kids. And he revealed that their estranged father, Meath-born Tommy Gallagher, was the DJ playing support to Big Tom and other major bands in the club, called the Carousel. Oasis star Noel confirmed the story on The Late Late Show two years ago, telling how he used to go to Big Tom dances as a child. Thomas McBride, who is also a singer and musician, was a member of his father's band in those days. Noel and Liam Gallagher attended Big Tom gigs 'Tommy Gallagher was the DJ in the Irish club at the time,' Thomas told the Sunday World. 'When I was the drummer in Daddy's band, The Travellers; we played there in the late 1970s. Tommy would have Noel and Liam with him and they'd be running around the club. They were only skitters of gossons at the time.' The Carousel was regarded as the best Irish dancehall in Manchester, where women would line up on one side and men on the other – and then there was a stampede by the males when the music started. Looking back, Thomas said there was nothing remarkable about Noel and Liam at the time. They were simply known as 'Tommy Gallagher's young fellas.' Big Tom McBride played gigs attended by Noel and Liam Gallagher News in 90 seconds - 11th August 2025 'None of us ever thought then that the two gossons would go on to become superstars with Oasis. They were mad boys running around,' Thomas said. 'When they became famous in Oasis we all remembered the Gallagher brothers. Daddy and all the boys in the band knew the connection. It was great to hear Noel remembering Daddy on The Late Late. Our family were delighted with that.' The Oasis brothers who had 22 consecutive UK top 10 hits between 1994 and 2008 have had no contact with their father Tommy since the '80s when their mother Peggy split up with him after enduring years of physical abuse. Thomas McBride Liam said in an interview: 'He was out all the time, fighting, beating my mam up, beating Noel and Paul up. Never touched me, though. Then, one night while he was out my mam got her brothers round, got all our gear in a truck, left him a mattress, and we went off to our new house.' Noel has said he has no regrets about his father not being in his life. Asked if he will ever make up with his dad, Noel said: 'I wouldn't have thought so... He doesn't mean anything to me.' Growing up witnessing his father's violent behaviour in the home, Liam said that his Irish mammy Peggy is responsible for anything good that came out of him. 'I got nothing from my old fella, all from my mam,' he said. 'Any good that comes out of me is all from Peggy and all her sisters and brothers – they were a good, close bunch of people.' He hasn't seen Tommy for decades. 'The last time I saw my old fella, I was 17 or summat,' he said, adding that he never felt like he was missing a father figure in his life thanks to his mother's love.

Oasis fans hit with Covid 'superspreader' warning ahead of Dublin gigs

The countdown to Oasis in Dublin is well and truly underway. More than 160,000 fans will pack into Croke Park this weekend for two sold-out shows of the Live 25 reunion tour. Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher will take to the stage on Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17, performing iconic hits like 'Wonderwall' and 'Don't Look Back in Anger' - songs fans haven't heard live since their infamous fallout 16 years ago. But with just five days to go, concertgoers are being warned that Covid is still circulating. Last week, Ireland's health officials recorded 453 new cases, with the latest XFG variant - also called Stratus - accounting for over 66% of all infections. Interestingly, one of XFG's key symptoms is a hoarse or raspy voice - similar to frontman Liam, who has battled laryngitis and throat issues in the past. The virus has also been circulating at London's Wembley Stadium, where Oasis performed five nights. Ahead of the band's Edinburgh shows, experts recommended pandemic-style safety measures to keep fans protected. Akash Sood from Knightswood Pharmacy advised: "New strands of Covid can infect thousands within metres of one another, so wear a mask if concerned, be safe and enjoy the return of Oasis." At Wembley, fans were met with warnings about Covid risks, including a notice reminding attendees of the contagious nature of the virus and urging social distancing. The sign read: "You acknowledge the contagious and potentially dangerous nature of Covid-19 and that the government and many public health authorities recommend social distancing. You acknowledge that there remains the possibility that you may come into direct or indirect contact with Covid and you freely and willingly enter this area." One unusual symptom of the Stratus variant is the early onset of hoarseness or a scratchy voice, which some people experience before classic Covid symptoms appear. This subtle sign could easily be missed - especially after singing along to Oasis all night - allowing the virus to spread before people even realise they're infected. Dr Kaywaan Khan, a Harley Street GP and Founder of Hannah London Clinic, told Cosmopolitan UK that "one of the most noticeable symptoms of the Stratus variant is hoarseness, which includes a scratchy or raspy voice." Ireland's public health guidelines remain the same: If you have any symptoms of Covid, stay at home until 48 hours after the symptoms are mostly or fully gone. You should also avoid contact with other people, especially people at higher risk from Covid. The HSE is reminding the public of the wide range of Covid symptoms to look out for. These include: fever (high temperature - 38C or above) - including having chills dry cough fatigue (tiredness) loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this could mean they're completely gone or just different to normal nasal congestion (runny or blocked nose) conjunctivitis (also known as red eye or pink eye) sore throat headache muscle or joint pain (aches and pains) different types of skin rash nausea or vomiting diarrhoea chills dizziness shortness of breath or breathing difficulties loss of appetite confusion pain or pressure in the chest. Gallagher brothers' sibling Paul dropped from Oasis after-party in Dublin ahead of court date

Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Liam and Noel Gallagher , will no longer perform an Oasis after-party DJ set in Dublin ahead of his court appearance this month. He was due to appear at The Grand Social this weekend to coincide with the Oasis reunion tour's Dublin performances. Police said in July that Paul Gallagher (59), who lives in East Finchley in north London, had been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The alleged offences are claimed to have taken place between 2022 and 2024, the Metropolitan Police said. READ MORE He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, August 27th. A spokeswoman for The Grand Social venue confirmed that Paul Gallagher 'will no longer be DJing at our Oasis after-party'. 'Mani from The Stone Roses will DJ on Saturday night and Alan McGee will DJ on Sunday,' she said. The promoters of the event, Up Close and Personal Promotions, have been contacted for comment. Liam and Noel Gallagher announced last August that they would this year perform together for the first time since Oasis's dramatic split in 2009. The Oasis Live '25 tour kicked off in Cardiff's Principality Stadium in July, before moving on to Manchester, London and Edinburgh. The band have two upcoming sold-out performances at Dublin's Croke Park , on Saturday, August 16th and Sunday, August 17th. – PA
