Global Airlines' only aircraft has been stored in Tarbes, France
Credit: Reddit
It made its inaugural flight on May 19 from Glasgow Airport to New York's JFK, returning four days later.
It's only other journey was from Manchester Airport and New York on May 21, returning May 25.
Global Airlines' only plane '9H-GLOBL' has now been parked at Tarbes Airport in France, which is the largest aircraft storage facility in Europe.
The facility is usually used for long-term storage.
Tarbes is often used by airlines to store or recycle aircraft with aviation news site Simple Flying claiming it is the place aircraft go 'when the time comes'.
In a LinkedIn post, the airline said: "After completing the latest maintenance in Dresden, 9H-GLOBL will be heading to Tarbes to park until it is time to head off to the next stage of heavy maintenance.
"It's always great to see her in the sky and it won't be long before she is up in the clouds once again on the way to the next adventure."
Tarbes Airport is often referred to as an 'aircraft boneyard' or 'aircraft graveyard'.
Boneyard facilities are often used to store aircraft while they receive maintenance.
Other aircraft may be disassembled and parts sold before planes are then scrapped.
Global Airlines Take-Off
According to Simple Flying, Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées Airport near the French Pyrenees, is the most notable boneyard in France.
TARMAC Aerosave operates at the airport, to store, maintain and recycle aircraft and can handle over 100 aircraft at any one time.
One person said on Reddit: "Love the A380, sucks to see one going back to storage and when looking at the news surrounding Global Airlines, I'm not sure if we'll see this A380 returning to service."
Another user added: "They were never an airline in the first place - they don't have an air certificate, their recent 'flights' earlier this year were just PR exercises with HiFly operating the plane on their behalf."
A third user commented: "How does it need heavy check already?"
The Global Airlines website still states that it will be "landing soon" with "a new website and news of the first flights on 9H-GLOBL to New York JFK".

As a result, people have started to question what it means for the airline's future

However, if you try to access the 'story' page about the airline - you get a '404 - page not found' error.
The airline previously pledged to take travelled back to the 'Golden Age' of travel and is the second airline to operate an Airbus 380 secondhand.
Return economy flights were £778, 95 per cent more expensive than a standard £399 British Airways seat.
However, slow sales saw this price more than halved.
Now with the aircraft in storage, it is unclear when and if it will fly again.
Will the airline take off?
Lisa Minot, The Sun's head of travel weighs in.
IT'S being billed -by its millionaire owner - as a game-changing new airline that will revolutionise the passenger experience.
But despite the lofty ambitions of its founder James Asquith - and its first commercial flight today from Glasgow to New York - the plain fact remains, it is simply not a functioning airline yet.
With just two fixed-date, charter flights from Glasgow and another - from Manchester later this month, the airline does not yet have the necessary permits - or slots - to fulfill its original ambition of launching regular scheduled flights from Gatwick to New York.
It is also taking on the big boys of the UK and US aviation industry on the most popular transatlantic route.
Asquith is looking to offer a revolutionary new service by using the huge Airbus A380 but Global's only functioning plane - flying on the Glasgow inaugural today - is a 12-year-old A380 that was owned by China Southern.
Despite promising five different classes on the plane - including a much vaunted 'gamer class' that would sit between premium economy and business class and feature pods where passengers could play Xbox and PS5s - the aircraft taking off this week will feature just the original three classes if flew as a China Southern outfit - first, business and economy.
The London to New York route is lucrative for the legacy airlines like British Airways and Virgin as the number of business class passengers mean it can bring in decent profits.
Global Airline's plane will have fewer premium seats than its competitors on an older plane - and right now can't even offer scheduled flights or regular departures.
While competition is always good for passengers, Global has a mountain to climb before it can consider itself a serious alternative to the traditional carriers.
It will be interesting to see if the ambitions translate into a real game-changer of a service.
An abandoned UK airport is set to reopen its doors after a decade in a £500m revamp – and could offer Ryanair and easyJet flights.
Plus, a major airline has launched new UK flights to a popular African holiday destination – and breaks are just as cheap as Spain.

Morrisons announces change to some everyday items this week
The move, which was also launched in shops a few days ago, forms part of Morrisons' commitment to raise £15 million for Marie Curie by October 2027. Morrisons introduces yellow packaging for an important reason @morrisons 💚New product drops💚 Comment down below which one you'll be picking up first👇 ♬ sonido original - For every promotional 'Every Pack Gives Back' product sold, the brand will donate a percentage of the sale price to Marie Curie. Additionally, specific products such as Morrisons food-to-go sandwiches, London Essence Indian Tonic Water and MOJU Ginger Vitality Dosing Bottle Shots will feature a special 'Every Pack Gives Back' design. This will help customers easily identify the items that will make a 'positive difference' to those in need of end-of-life care in their local communities. A selection of products from the range can also be found in the supermarket's Seasonal Aisle from August 4. Meanwhile, Morrisons recently turned one in four supermarket features yellow to raise awareness of the fact that a quarter of people in the UK die without receiving the end-of-life care they need. UK Supermarket Rankings 2025 Those shopping in person at the supermarket might have noticed brightly coloured baskets, trolleys, café chairs and even car parking spaces in daffodil yellow, as part of the Marie Curie 'Every Pack Gives Back' initiative. David Scott, corporate affairs director at Morrisons, commented: 'We want to shine a light on the importance of end of life care and so turning one in four of our baskets, trolleys, café chairs and even car parking spaces yellow is a simple but powerful way to start a national conversation about something that affects us all. Morrisons shoppers confused over new 'cleaning robots' Elsewhere, Morrisons shoppers have recently been sharing their bemusement after noticing a new addition in stores. Taking to social media, customers noticed posters confirming some supermarkets now had 'cleaning robots'. The large blue machines roam around stores and are "programmed to keep a safe distance" while people shop. However, some shoppers have been left confused by the technology, with one Morrisons customer asking, "Who signed this off?" Taking to the Reddit page r/Morrisons, one customer of the supermarket shared the poster explaining the new robots, which quickly gained a response from fellow shoppers. The poster read: "Shinnier floors. "Our new cleaning robot is programmed to keep a safe distance while you shop. "If you have any questions, please ask a member of our team." Some suggested that the robot would be taking jobs away, as one wrote: "Personally, just see a human losing their job..." Recommended reading: But others suggested that there would be no job loss and it will make stores cleaner: "So many people complaining about taking a job, this is the natural progression of technology, this thing will clean nonstop, the store will probably be tidier and cleaner." According to MailOnline, the robots use advanced AI and computer vision technology that allows them to make their way around stores. Morrisons was previously contacted by Newsquest for a comment.

Man picks 'dirt from under his partner's toenails' during easyJet flight
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A holidaymaker saw a fellow passenger 'pick dirt from under his partner's toenails' during an EasyJet flight. Erin Butcher, 27, had been enjoying a seven-day family holiday in Tenerife, Spain, when her return journey home took a nasty twist. When looking around in the packed plane, she saw a woman's bare feet splayed out on a tray table. The fashion merchandiser from Southwark, London, said she felt 'disgusted' when noticing a man then appeared to be giving her a makeshift pedicure. Footage shows how he used his bare hands to flick bits of dirt off her manicured toenails. The couple continued the bizarre grooming activity for around 20 minutes, Erin claimed, and were unfazed by other passengers' confused reactions. The holidaymaker said the toenail incident was a 'depressing' way to end her week-long holiday. She said: 'I felt so disgusted and I couldn't believe it. 'The partner was sprawled across the seats with her feet on the tray table, which was shocking enough. 'Her partner then started picking at her toenails and flicking little bits [of dirt] everywhere. It was disgusting. 'I was absolutely horrified. I was with my family and none of us could actually believe what was happening.' Erin described the activity as 'questionable' but felt relieved she was not sat next to them on the over the four-hour trip home. She continued: 'Even to do that in the privacy of your own home is questionable but to put them on a tray table where people are eating off all day. 'I was relieved I wasn't sitting next to them. I had the perfect view from my aisle seat which is horrifying. I couldn't really take my eyes off even though I wanted to.' She labelled the couple's toenail session as 'unhygenic' and said most passengers laughed at the pair, while others seemed horrified. Erin said: 'As if things aren't depressing enough when your week in the sun has just ended and you're faced with toe picking the whole way home.' When the Londoner shared the video on TikTok, many users expressed their disgust in the comments. More Trending One user simply wrote, 'totally gross', while another said, 'save it for later'. Another commenter suggested toenail picking should not be tolerated in any situation, adding: 'That's disgusting anywhere'. A different user simply asked the question: 'Why on earth?' Alexander Isak makes Newcastle decision after Liverpool's £150m transfer offer is rejected
Liverpool are still interested in signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle but have seen a £120m offer rejected by the Magpies, with the player's future uncertain after training alone in Spain Newcastle 's wantaway star Alexander Isak is set to return to the club's training ground amid Liverpool 's bid to sign the Sweden striker, reports claim. Isak has been training alone at the training facilities of old club Real Sociedad after informing Newcastle he wants to consider he options this summer. The 25-year-old has not joined Newcastle on their pre-season tour of Asia amid the uncertainty around his future, with manager Eddie Howe admitting the situation was not in his control. Liverpool have already had a £120m bid rejected by Newcastle, who value the player at closer to £150m and are in no rush to sell him given that he has three years left on his contract at St James' Park. According to the Athletic, Isak is now set to travel back to the UK after a brief period of training at Sociedad's Zubieta base, which he has been using when they are empty rather than training alongside his former team-mates. He will not be linking up with the rest of his Newcastle team-mates and Howe and Co prepare for a friendly clash against Tottenham on Sunday, before two more friendlies against Espanyol and Atletico Madrid. The report claims Liverpool are not planning to submit a second offer for Isak after their initial "take it or leave it" bid, but remain interested in the player. The Reds have already spent nearly £300m on a host of high-profile signings, including £116.5m on Florian Wirtz - which was a British transfer record - £79m on forward Hugo Ekitike, £50m on left-back Milos Kerkez and £29m on right-back Jeremie Frimpong. Adding Isak to their squad would force them to smash another transfer record but as things stand the move looks to be difficult to pull off. Liverpool have managed to balance the books by selling Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid for £10m and Luis Diaz to Bayern for £63m, while Darwin Nunez is reportedly in talks to join Al-Hilal. Newcastle boss Howe said he was in the dark over Isak's future but was hopeful the club could still hang onto their talisman. 'I really don't know what is going to happen next, but from our perspective, we still support Alex in every way, and my wish is still that we see him in a Newcastle shirt again,' he said.
