Global Coalition of 32 Countries Plans Historic March to Gaza on Foot
In a bold and unprecedented move, the Global March to Gaza aims to reach the besieged Palestinian enclave on foot in response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
The coalition, which brings together more than 10,000 participants from diverse backgrounds, mostly from Western countries, intends to raise global awareness and directly challenge the ongoing Israeli blockade that has gripped Gaza for nearly 20 months.
The initiative is being spearheaded by the International Coalition Against Israeli Occupation, led by Seif Abu Keshk, who described the march as a collective call to the 'genocide' of the Palestinian people.
According to the organizers, the march has five core objectives. The first goal is to end Genocide in Gaza, and halt what organizers describe as systematic and deliberate efforts to starve and kill Palestinian civilians, particularly children, by drawing global attention and applying pressure on governments and international bodies.
The second goals is the immediate Delivery of Aid. With thousands of aid trucks stalled at the Gaza crossings, participants are demanding the immediate and unrestricted entry of food, medicine, and essential supplies into Gaza via the Rafah crossing.
A central goal is also to break the Israeli-imposed blockade on Gaza and call for the establishment of a permanent humanitarian corridor to ensure the flow of life-saving supplies without political interference.
In addition, the initiative seeks to rally civil society across the world to confront the complicity and silence of many governments regarding Israeli actions, and to pressure lawmakers to take firm stances in support of Palestinian rights.
Organizers, furthermore, are urging international legal bodies to investigate and prosecute those responsible for war crimes and violations of international law committed against the Palestinian population.
German lawyer Melanie Schweitzer emphasized that the march is entirely peaceful and civilian-led, inspired by historic solidarity movements.
'This is a civilian action rooted in global humanitarian concern. No government is funding or directing this effort—participants are volunteers covering their own costs,' she said.
The march also aims to represent the voice of global civil society through the participation of trade unions, medical organizations, humanitarian groups, and citizens from all walks of life. Organizers hope to send a unified message of peace, justice, and global solidarity.
Given the multinational nature of the initiative, march planners have divided participants into regional groups to facilitate coordination and overcome logistical challenges related to language, culture, and geography.
All groups are scheduled to converge in Cairo starting June 12, from where they will proceed toward the Rafah border crossing into Gaza.
Edward Camacho, a representative of the Catalan Alternative Union (IAC), noted that participants are responsible for their own expenses and that only minimal logistical support will be available. 'We are committed to making this happen, regardless of the hardships,' he stated.
As the world watches, the Global March to Gaza is poised to become one of the most significant acts of international civilian solidarity in recent history, shining a spotlight on the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and calling for immediate global action.

European Ministers Condemn Israeli Plan to Occupy Gaza, Expel Residents
DaysofPal- Foreign ministers from eight European countries, including Spain, Norway, Ireland, and Portugal, issued a joint condemnation of the Israeli decision to escalate its military operations in the Gaza Strip, occupy Gaza City, and expel its residents. The ministers warned that this intensified offensive will deepen the ongoing humanitarian crisis and put the lives of Palestinian hostages at greater risk. In their statement, the ministers rejected any demographic changes on the occupied Palestinian territories, deeming such actions a violation of international law. They reaffirmed that Gaza is an integral part of the State of Palestine, along with the West Bank and East Jerusalem. The ministers highlighted that the continued military escalation and potential occupation of Gaza City represent a serious obstacle to the implementation of the two-state solution, which widely recognized framework for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. They expressed grave concern over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, exacerbated by the blockade and ongoing hostilities. Moreover, the statement called for an immediate cessation of military escalation and emphasized the urgent need to ensure safe and equitable access to humanitarian aid for all civilians in the region. Finally, the European ministers urged the international community to intensify diplomatic efforts aimed at protecting civilians, promoting dialogue, and working towards a just and lasting peace. Israel to Approve Massive Reservist Call-Up to Seize Gaza City
DaysofPal – Israel's government is expected to approve plans to call up tens of thousands of additional reservists as it prepares for a full-scale offensive to seize Gaza City, Israeli media reported on Sunday. If approved, the total number of mobilized reservists could reach 430,000 by the end of November, according to public broadcaster Kan. Channel 13 said the move is part of a broader plan already given initial approval by the Israeli security cabinet on Friday, aimed at taking complete control of the Gaza Strip. The plan reportedly begins with the displacement of nearly one million Gaza City residents to the south, followed by an encirclement of the city and incursions into residential neighborhoods. A second phase would target the refugee camps in central Gaza, large parts of which have already been reduced to rubble. Channel 13 said the army intends to employ heavy firepower while simultaneously transferring segments of the population southward. Despite government backing, the proposal faces stiff opposition from senior Israeli military officials. The Hebrew broadcaster reported that unnamed top commanders sharply criticized the plan, warning that 'the war has turned into a vehicle sinking in the sand.' Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir has previously described the plan as a 'strategic trap' that would bog down the army for years and place hostages in greater danger. International concerns over the offensive are mounting. The United Nations says 87 percent of Gaza's territory is already under occupation or evacuation orders, warning that any further expansion would have 'catastrophic consequences.' On Saturday, the foreign ministers of Italy, Australia, Germany, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom issued a joint statement opposing the plan to seize Gaza City. 'This would exacerbate the catastrophic humanitarian situation, endanger the lives of captives, and increase the risk of mass displacement of civilians,' the statement read. 100K Demonstrate in London in Solidarity with Gaza, 'Palestine Action'
DaysofPal- Over 100 thousand people took to the streets in the British capital, London, today, Saturday, protesting against the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with the Palestinian people there. The march coincided with a rally called by hundreds of supporters of the 'Defend the Juries' movement, denouncing the criminalization of the 'Palestine Action' group under anti-terrorism laws. Protesters marched toward the British government headquarters, where large police forces were deployed at the solidarity rally with 'Palestine Action,' arresting dozens of participants. Moreover, in Parliament Square, hundreds sat holding signs reading: 'I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action.' The British capital's police announced that they had arrested 150 people during the protest outside Parliament in opposition to the decision to ban the movement, stating on the X platform that the arrests came after crowds gathered in Parliament Square waving banners in support of 'Palestine Action.' Among those present were dozens of elderly citizens, including people with disabilities, who defied the law and expressed readiness to be arrested. One participant told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed: 'I am here today because I am against the genocide in Gaza and against criminalizing protests against it. Our government should be ashamed of itself, and we will stand here until the genocide stops and our government's complicity ends.' Parliament Square has been witnessing heightened tensions in what is considered the largest act of civil disobedience against the anti-terrorism law, where the British police arrested several participants. The British government banned the movement under the Anti-Terrorism Law in early July after activists targeted two Voyager aircraft at RAF Brize Norton on June 20, spraying them with red paint, an act that 'caused damage estimated at around seven million pounds sterling,' according to the UK Home Office.
