The actor has shocked fans by revealing his latest move following the death of his on-screen character Martin Fowler
EASTENDERS star James Bye has sold his "forever home" and moved into a caravan with his family - weeks after being killed off on the soap.
The 41-year-old star's wife, Victoria Bye, revealed the couple, their four children and two blind dogs are now living in the middle of a field.

Victoria wrote on Instagram: "It's official …because we've only gone and sold our 'forever home'
"And not only that. We've done it so that we can move into a field - and into a caravan…
"Yes, you read that right. A tin box on wheels with barely enough room to swing a cat let alone four kids + two blind dogs. S**t.
"Now, you may wonder what in the hell we're doing (I know we do, both still I denial I think!)"
James, 41, played beloved Martin Fowler from 2014 until he was killed off in the BBC soap's live 40th anniversary episode.
He landed a new straightaway as the iconic Jane Austen hero Mr Darcy in the theatrical world premiere of Death Comes To Pemberley.
His wife has now told of the "method to my madness" of moving into a caravan - to build their own house.
Victoria revealed: "A dream we've long since had and just never had the time … or the belief that we could.
"And yet somehow, when it feels like we've got more than ever on our plate, we thought. Sod it. It's now or never. This is our year for change. And so we are.
"I mean, what's could go wrong?! (Er, right. Everything apparently. But let's just breeze over that bit & get back to following your dreams & all that gumph…)
EastEnders' James Bye reveals his wife's reaction to soap exit - and the one demand he made to soap bosses
"Because, really, it has been a bit of a dream of ours for a very long time.
"And it's no surprise because both of our parents did the very same thing back in the 80's! And they survived! (just about!)"
"In fact, James' sister was conceived in their caravan right on the foundations of the house they still call home to this day!"
But Victoria insists she and James won't be conceiving any more kids in their new caravan home.
She wrote: "And whilst there is a firm NO on any baby making shenanigans going on in our little love pad, the same belief & hope for something that we've built on our own is there.
"It'll be an adventure. A messy, chaotic, mud filled ride - just us & our boys. And we cant wait. We might even get an alpaca. What the hell, in for a penny & all that…
"So stick around for the journey you lovely lot - and please - any advice send our way.
"Because in truth. We haven't got a bloody clue what we're doing."
James' new move comes after his EastEnders co-star Adam Woodyatt, who plays Ian Beale, moved into a £93,000 motorhome in 2023, after he split from his wife of 22 years, Beverley Sharp.

EastEnders' Tony Discipline works up a sweat at new Fire Brigade job after quitting soap and split with Jacqueline Jossa
SOAP star Tony Discipline has traded EastEnders for a new life working in the fire service – and is currently deep in training. To most EastEnders fans, he will be known as Tyler Moon, the troubled son of David Essex's Eddie Moon and cousin to the legendary Alfie Moon (Shane Richie). 10 10 10 Appearing on the show from 2011 to 2013, Tyler proved to be a volatile character. As an amateur boxer he would take on bouts which his older brother Michael (Steve John Shepherd) would fix without his knowledge. This ultimately caused Tyler massive trouble as, after agreeing to an illegal fight, suffered a seizure from the amount of hits he took to the face. While his character was certainly a hard nut, 12 years on Tony is now using his own brute force for good, working with the London Fire Service. Spotted running through drills at his base, Tony was barely recognisable as he was spotted completing runs. It seems elements of Tyler stayed with him though, with Tony wearing a red t-shirt that reveals he's a member of the LFS Boxing Club. Speaking of his new job, Tony previously told The Sun: 'I love it. Every day is different and you feel you're helping your community. "It can be quite dangerous but you're trained to deal with those situations.' During his time on EastEnders, Tony sparked a relationship with Jacqueline Jossa, with the pair dating for 18 months before splitting in 2013, around the time that he left the soap. On screen, Tony's character Tyler found himself at one point in a love triangle with Jossa's character Lauren Branning and Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty). However, Tyler's feelings for Whitney became most prominent, with the pair becoming a will they/won't they couple during his entire time on the Square. 10 10 But after years of ups and downs, as well as becoming entangled in his family's increasingly sketchy businesses, Tyler decided he had enough and left in 2013 in a stolen sports car. He was last known to be going to work on a cruise ship alongside his brother Anthony. However, Tony has never ruled out a potential return. 'I loved my time there," he told us. "It was a great chapter in my life and if the opportunity ever came up, I would definitely be interested.' Since his EastEnders exit, Kent-born actor Tony has been busy grafting off-screen, also working as a bartender at his own bar, The Tipsy Trailer. While acting has taken a backseat in his life, he does continue to do some jobs – appearing in an episode of Doctors in 2024, and this year appearing in the movie, Dream Hacker. 10 10

Emma Raducanu reveals how she feels about Carlos Alcaraz dating rumours ahead of hotly anticipated Mixed Doubles pairing - and what she thought of bizarre Cam Norrie romance question
Emma Raducanu has revealed her bemusement at scrutiny into her her dating life, following speculation linking her to Carlos Alcaraz and a bizarre question at Wimbledon. Rumours of a potential romance with Alcaraz had been sparked earlier this summer when the pair had been confirmed as mixed doubles partners in a revamped competition at the US Open, which will begin next week. The British star had then been spotted spotting Alcaraz at Queen's in June, with the grass-court tournament building up towards Wimbledon. Alcaraz's confirmation as an ambassador of Evian, who a long-term partner of Raducanu, led to the British No 1 being asked about the rumours ahead of Wimbledon. Raducanu had attempted to end the speculation by insisting that they were just 'good friends'. Speaking ahead of the US Open, where Raducanu shot to fame by winning the 2021 event as a qualifier, she expressed her surprise at the desire to find out about her dating life. The British star was the subject of romance rumours with Carlos Alcaraz over the summer Rumours had intensified after Raducanu watched Alcaraz at Queen's after their mixed doubles pairing at the US Open had been announced 'I guess I'm like, it comes with the territory, people being so curious,' Raducanu told the Guardian. 'I think they're more curious about this news than any tennis results and tennis news. 'But I just keep myself to myself, my private life to one side. 'It's always funny when people try to find something out, but I try not to read into it so much.' The scrutiny on Raducanu's dating life had reached a bizarre level when fellow British star Cameron Norrie had been asked about a possible romance between the pair during Wimbledon. A journalist had asked Norrie: 'Aside from the fact that everyone here loves tennis, there are some rumors circulating about Emma Raducanu's relationship. May I ask if you're with her? Can we clear this up, please?' The bemused star, who has a long-term partner, appeared shocked and replied 'Sorry?' The journalist then said 'I'm trying to find out who Emma Raducanu is dating. It seems to be a topic among the men's draw. I was wondering if you're dating her?' Norrie responded 'No, I'm not dating her. You can ask her', with the visibly frustrated star seen shaking his head following the question. When broached about the question for the first time, Raducanu reportedly laughed before stating 'That was terrible, terrible'. On the court, Raducanu has shown impressive form in the build-up to the US Open later this month. She reached the semi-finals of the Canadian Open and this week suffered an agonising three set defeat to current women's world No 1 Aryna Sabalenka at the Cincinnati Open. Her recent climb to 33rd in the world rankings could be enough to see Raducanu earn a seeding for the US Open women's singles event. Raducanu, however, is currently due to first feature in the $1million mixed doubles competition alongside Alcaraz. The 22-year-old had previously explained to Daily Mail Sport that her friendship with Alcaraz, a five-time Grand Slam champion, had stemmed from the pair growing up on tour together. 'He's so nice, very happy, amazing values and just a really positive light to be around,' said Raducanu. 'I've known him for years. Wimbledon 2021 was the first time I started getting to know him. He was always playing the day before me, I would see him win and then I would have motivation to win and get myself into that position too. The British No 1 has shown impressive signs ahead of the US Open, where she triumphed in 2021 'It was really cool to go through that tournament together and then I kept going through the US Open, we were staying in touch for the whole time and, yeah, it's nice. 'We have a good relationship still. He's obviously overtaken me a lot, but it's nice that we have that from a while ago. 'I think, for all of us, we really value those connections we had from when we were young. 'When you become a bit more known or more successful, you find yourself reverting back people you knew from a young age because you're like, that's a real genuine connection.
