Hilton to Open New Cairo Outpost with Golden View Developments
Hilton Garden Inn is set to open in New Cairo's Fifth Settlement through a new partnership with Golden View Developments, combining hospitality with mixed-use community living.
Golden View Developments has announced a new partnership with Hilton to bring the Hilton Garden Inn brand to New Cairo's Fifth Settlement - marking a significant strategic expansion for both companies in Egypt's rapidly evolving hospitality landscape.
Scheduled to open within a new mixed-use development, the property is positioned near key residential and commercial hubs including Cairo Festival City, Downtown Katameya, and the wider Fifth Settlement area - an increasingly dynamic zone attracting both business and leisure travelers.
For Golden View Developments, the project is part of a broader push into integrated real estate offerings, with hospitality playing a growing role. 'By integrating Hilton's renowned standards of comfort and service, Golden View aims to create distinctive environments that cater to both business and leisure travelers,' says Ahmed El Sayed, Chairman of Golden View Developments. 'This collaboration aligns with our strategy to diversify our portfolio and drive sustainable growth across Egypt's real estate and hospitality markets.'
The Hilton Garden Inn New Cairo Fifth Settlement will offer 170 guest rooms and suites, five meeting rooms, and a suite of leisure amenities including a fully equipped fitness centre, outdoor pool, and a dedicated kids' pool. Guests will also have access to three dining venues: an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby bar, and a rooftop bar designed for panoramic views and casual evenings.
From Hilton's perspective, the project signals further commitment to growing its Egyptian presence. 'Egypt presents tremendous development opportunities as we continue with our plans to introduce more of our award-winning brands and triple our footprint across the country,' says Carlos Khneisser, VP of Development, Middle East & Africa at Hilton. 'We are excited to be partnering with Golden View Developments on a hotel that enjoys such a prime location within a vibrant mixed-use community.'
The move comes amid rising demand for mid-to-upscale hospitality options across Greater Cairo, particularly in fast-expanding suburban districts like New Cairo. With strong proximity to residential zones, office parks, and shopping centers, the Hilton Garden Inn is poised to attract both short-term visitors and long-stay guests seeking reliable service with local access.
Further updates on launch timelines and additional collaborations will be announced in the coming months.

United Bank contributes EGP 600m to syndicated loan worth EGP 6.2bn for Mountain View project

United Bank has participated with EGP 600m in a syndicated long-term loan worth EGP 6.2bn, arranged by a consortium of six banks led by Banque Misr, to finance part of the Mountain View 1.1 project's EGP 14.4bn investment cost. The facility has a maximum tenor of seven years. CEO Ashraf El Kady said the bank's participation reflects its commitment to supporting the state's development strategy and contributing to sustainable, integrated infrastructure projects that enhance citizens' quality of life. He highlighted the construction sector's vital role in driving economic growth and GDP expansion, noting that bank financing for such projects helps stimulate investment and create jobs. El Kady also stressed the importance of directing investment to promote balanced geographic and demographic development, easing population pressure on the Nile Valley and Delta, while supporting housing supply for various income segments—particularly middle-income and social housing—thereby fostering social stability. Deputy Managing Director for Business Sectors Nevine Kashmiry said United Bank is a major supporter of Egypt's construction sector, given its central role in development. She noted that the country's urban expansion under the 'New Republic' includes the New Administrative Capital and 12 new smart cities such as New Alexandria, New Assiut, New Suez, and New Alamein. Deputy CEO Farag Abdel Hamid described the participation as a reflection of the bank's national role in shaping Egypt's future under Vision 2030, while Deputy CEO Moataz El Kassaby stressed the bank's preference for partnering with developers committed to quality and sustainability standards to maximise economic and social returns. Albir Nasan, Head of Syndicated Loans, said United Bank's involvement in financing real estate projects aligns with its longstanding role in supporting the Egyptian economy and the state's urban development goals under Vision 2030.

Egypt, Turkey Eye $15 Billion in Annual Trade as Ties Strengthen

Taarek Refaat Egypt and Turkey are setting their sights on raising bilateral trade to $15 billion annually, as both nations deepen cooperation across key economic sectors. The announcement came during talks in the Mediterranean city of El Alamein, where Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati met his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan. The two ministers first held a private meeting, followed by expanded discussions with their respective delegations. According to Egypt's foreign ministry, Cairo is seeking to attract more Turkish direct investment and expand collaboration in manufacturing, energy, transport, tourism, and other strategic industries. Abdel Ati stressed the importance of continuing to implement the outcomes of the inaugural High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting, held in Istanbul in September 2024 under the leadership of both presidents. 'The goal is to build on the agreements already reached in economic, investment, and sectoral cooperation to launch a new phase of partnership between our two countries,' Abdel Ati said. The Egyptian minister also expressed appreciation for Ankara's official endorsement of Egypt's candidate for UNESCO's Director-General post, former Minister of Antiquities Khaled El-Enany. On his part, Turkey's top diplomat described the bilateral relationship as 'making progress on all fronts,' reiterating the joint ambition to reach the $15 billion trade target. The ministers highlighted the symbolic significance of 2025, marking the centennial of formal diplomatic relations between Egypt and Turkey, a milestone both sides say they want to commemorate with concrete economic achievements. read more CBE: Deposits in Local Currency Hit EGP 5.25 Trillion Morocco Plans to Spend $1 Billion to Mitigate Drought Effect Gov't Approves Final Version of State Ownership Policy Document Egypt's Economy Expected to Grow 5% by the end of 2022/23- Minister Qatar Agrees to Supply Germany with LNG for 15 Years Business Oil Prices Descend amid Anticipation of Additional US Strategic Petroleum Reserves Business Suez Canal Records $704 Million, Historically Highest Monthly Revenue Business Egypt's Stock Exchange Earns EGP 4.9 Billion on Tuesday Business Wheat delivery season commences on April 15 News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results
